This is definitely the best video for reviewing the Transition Signature Lenses in all colors. There is no comparable video in the whole internet. I appreciate your hard work Antonio. Very nice job! Thanks a lot!! I just got my new pair of Transition Signature 8 in Emerald. Indoors it is actually completely clear but it does have a very slight tint which you notice when comparing with a normal pair of glasses. Although the commercial says it is cmpletely clear indoors there is a tint of 4 or 5 % you must be aware of this. Greetings from Germany
Best review of the Gen 8 on UA-cam! I was so tempted to go for the style colours after seeing this video, as they look really chic, but I know my eyes won't like looking through them for a long period of time, I went for the signature. This video answered most of my questions, but I would really like to see you putting on all the colours. ;)
It is a really great video. Thank you. I'd love to see more comparisons of how the outside scenes look like with each of them and without any. Most reviews only focus on how does the color of the glasses change when outdoors, however, to me what seems the most important is how things are going to look like with these glasses on compared to without any. Anything that represents close to the true color but also reduce glare and uncomfortable direct sunlight on the eyes would be my choice.
Thanks mate! Really appreciate the hard work to to do this video. I have the emerald green. Best transitions in my opinion. Better then Hoyas sensity in my opinion. Keep up the good work
I just picked up my silhouette framed sapphire blue transitions, I’ve always went the cheap route, since I now need progressive lenses I splurged and got what I wanted. Cost me a thousand bucks, but I fell in love the second I put them on. The silhouette frames are like wearing a piece of angel hair pasta. I barely notice them and my ears don’t get irritated from traditional frame behind my ear. They are amazing
Thanks for making the video. I was very disappointed with the emerald as they were nothing like the color that Transitions show on their site where they show a very vibrant color instead what I got you can barely tell it’s a green tint and not a grey.
Great review! It helps me a lot to choose the color. It is one thing to view the colors from the official website and another to view them in reality from great reviews.
wow thanks a lot, I just ordered a set of the emerald and had no idea what any of these colors looked like until I saw this video. out of the choices they gave me I’m really happy I chose that one. can’t wait to see again!
Very good video, I loved the editing style. I normally jump to the parts of a review that are relevant to my questions but there was so much good info/editing that I watched the whole thing!
Thanks for this video review of Transition lenses. I was able to order Amethyst from our local optical shop here. I was torn between Amber and other colors but I decided to go for Amethyst by reviewing your video.
The lighter tints of the Style colors work great if spending more time indoors or transitioning a lot between indoor/outdoor. You don't have to worry about everything being too dark waiting for the transition to happen.
This video help me decide to try Transitions. I went for Emerald and Amber. I am light sensitive so they do help. I wanted those colours so did not go for ExtraActive. I have them in a Grey Crystal frame and they look good. The Amber is the best for most noticeable and quickest tint. They do not work as fast as in the video but then I am not using a UV light on them. They do seem to go to clear much quicker than the 4 minutes. I have found a couple of disadvantages which I did not know about. They do not work in the car due to UV protection in the windscreen (I know ExtaActive does work). Also i did not know about the limited lifespan of the transitions. I still want to try the Drivewear transitions.
this was very useful, thanks a lot Antonia, i ordered the grey but upon watching yours i'm reconsidering to get the green graphite as it could be darker
@@morgmejor1590 Yeah in Singapore too colour grey is the only colour wch is cheaper..other two signature colours (alongside style colours) are tad expensive..
I ordered a pair of emerald green frameless lens and it doesn’t get to green. I believe the lady put the order in wrong. I think she thought I said grey.
I heard that Transition lens struggle to work properly in extreme heat. I work at a baseball venue in the Southwest US. Our average summer temps are well above 100°F.
Beside transition lenses, can we just talk about how cute those frames were? I've bought dark grey frame with transition in grey... But now these transparent frames are getting my attention.
I got my prescription with Amber in my Versace Frames today. Everywhere I go I get compliments on the sophisticated look, however it has been an adjustment because even when I am indoors there is a slight tint of Amber that stays and they to me never are completely clear. I love how fast they transition to Amber outdoors, almost instantly! My lenses were super expensive, but ultimately worth it! Thanks for sharing!
AMBER is the best looking among all colors under Sig8 hands down but everything looks so warm especially if paired with prevencia under brighe sunlight. Hoping the Amethyst and Blue would be more Vivid in color in the future . P. S. I just realized that dark colors are more noticeable on clear/light-colored frames
Nice lenses. Ive been looking for a clear frame but unfortunately ended up with a thinner frame instead. Can’t find a suitable clear frame for me in my area. 🥺
Awesome video. Perfectly narated and the info isnt boring. I have already decided to go with 1.59mm sapphire blue for my silver metal ic berlin frame. Now having a hard choice deciding on the 2nd lense color emarald or graphite?? This will be on a black / dark color wayfarer style frame. Amber also on the back of my mind 🙏🙏🙏
Yeah. My Transitions glasses have been turning a bit yellowish after c.a. 2 years. (for 3 pairs now, it's a consistent thing). It's not at all obvious when youre just looking at the lenses, but using the glasses you can tell that there is always a "minimum coloration" level even indoors+overcast.
Fantastic video! I'm planning on a pair of Gen8's as new motorcycle glasses... thinking Brown or Amber, what do you think? I have Drivewears that I love, but seems like maybe they're older tech now and the frames I have them in don't provide enough wind protection on two wheels
Nice video..hope that you can make comparison video between other brands of photochromics after this..just to reflect ur opinions on other brands..thanks
Hello Antonio, Does Transition gen 8 get darker behind the wheel? I can find may information regarding to XTRActive, however, some optics claim that Gen 8 also gets dark as much as XTRActive, is that true? TIA
I purchased a new pair of transition lenses today but I have a question. My optometrist said that my lenses would turn to Grey when people are looking at me, but they will give off the emerald color when I’m looking through them. Your video showed the emerald on the outside as well. Is the variation I’m expecting available? Or was I explained this incorrectly? Thanks!
I really wanna try these! I don't know if i should go for gray, green, emerald, or amber! 😅👍🏻 i find the emerald quite pleasing, but i don't know, it's hard to choose!
Just found your channel. 👍 great content. I am new to glasses. I drive a semi all day. I am color blind, reds and greens. Do you have any suggestions on color. I was thinking gray or green
@AntoniotheOptometrist I was watching the video patiently waiting and really enjoying it to see how the world looks through the amber lenses... and then... the only one you did not show was amber :(
I have an eye condition which makes me very light sensitive. I have been wearing "amber" tinted lenses for a while. I would like to try transitions lenses in the same color, but instead of returning to clear, I would appreciate them returning to a light to medium tint level. On the other hand, I also wouldn't want the transitions level to be too dark. Is it possible to have transitions tinted in this way in addition to the transitions process?
Doc. recomienda colocarle blue block a los transitions, o ya con el filtro que viene para luz azul es suficiente, ya que lei que solo protege en un 20% ?
