We got this one the table and loved it. Klingons vs Federation. We used the Taking Down the Force Field scenario with the Klingons as the Rebels. We were able to play the scenario twice in about four hours, and that was our first go with these rules. I also think my kids could play this, which will make them go bananas.
You should be adding +1 to wound rolls for each wound the character already has. So in the case of the Dr's assistant who already had a wound, the second wound roll of "8" would become a "9"-Dead.
Really enjoyed the game, loved the laser and smoke effect. Got a few rules wrong, so what ! Down to dice rolls ? it is aways down to dice rolls. Loved the setting and names, very much my "cup of tea", well done.
Hi J. You are correct! After we shot this video we actually made a bunch of dice trays. The dice rolling action is much better now. ua-cam.com/video/M4tywHNeK0A/v-deo.html
I've been looking for a small scale skirmish game to use with my Mantic space dwarves. How do you build characters in the rulebook? Is it point based where skills and weapons have a point cost?
Hi there. It actually doesn't use a point system for team building. A standard crew will have a Leader, who gets a leadership trait and three normal traits, plus a common weapon or a specialist weapon and a sidearm. Then the crew gets a Specialist, who receives two normal traits and is armed with a specialist weapon, or a team weapon and a pistol. Next the crew gets three Regulars, who each get one normal trait and are armed with either a common rifle, or a pistol and close combat weapon. One of these regulars can be swapped for three grunts, which are basically below average henchmen with no traits. Of course, you can always make your own scenario and load out crews however you want.
Thank you. I need some scifi wargaming that is NOT 40k. As much as I love the universe, there is so much wrong with the system. (And the meta and codexes every 2 years and .......)
Hello. We've sort of moved on from that system, but here's a 40k-style game of it featured on the Wiley Games UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/video/Ivr_1l31ue0/v-deo.htmlsi=ttIXRUFIhIZHR7Bg
Love the Rouge Trader era style scratch built deodorant hover car ! Definitely want the vehicle rules also

No mention of Squidward's house as terrain! Love scifi anything can be used.
Cheap aquarium decoration from Walmart. But on the tabletop, he's an ancient oracle from a lost civilization!
I figured it was for an aquarium. Looks good on the table. Just ordered this set of rules BTW.

Good to know. Thanks for the feedback Jaye! Being wounded in this game is serious business.

Thanks Chris. Glad you enjoyed the vid. We'd like to be 100% error free, but that's looking doubtful at this point. We just do the best we can!
Great video. Thanks, for the nice review. Love the corrections posted. The Blast Templates are available from Wiley-games.com.
Would love to see more about this game system!
That album! Now you got that song in my head... ♫ "FLASH! AHA! SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE!" ♫
You need a better dice tray. The dice lands and sits lol. No rolling, no tumbling, no nothin.
Nice review and thanks for share

Hello :) Do you ever play this game anymore? Would love to see a 40k-ish battle report on this.
