So good to have great third party choices! I wish I could have made it to BiLD Expo. Had some things going on at home that changed plans. Great review Pete! Have a rockin' week...
I’ve recently bought one. I didn’t want to spend the cash on the Fuji 23mm. This has proved to be a good choice. The finish of the body matches my X-T5 perfectly.
I had recently purchased the 30mm because I thought I had lost my beloved 35mm 1.4 and realize that these sigma lenses are sharp and well made but I really don't like the look of them and find them kind of ugly, much prefer the look of the Fuji lenses, I know that's a little weird, but I get turned off if it's not aesthetically pleasing, especially using X- series cameras as they're beautiful to look at.
Totally get it, I'm the same. It's clearly a great lens and significantly cheaper than the Fuji 23 1.4 WR, but I just prefer the look of the Fuji lenses on the front so not sure I could bring myself to buy it!
@@PeteCocoPhoto not sure if it was true but in terms of af performance, chat gpt said that sigma performed better. i just wanna confirm if its true tho
@@user-lj5fp4eh2r Who am I to argue with Chat GPT hahaha. I tried both of these lenses, and they are both great. I think the difference in performance is negligible. I would pick the one you feel fits your shooting style best.
Thanks so much for checking out the lens, and we're glad you like it!
My pleasure!

The expo was great. I was only there for a short time but had a lot of fun.

Not weird at all, I get it. Fuji gear is beautiful.

if to choose for events and portraits at the same time. which one to choose. sigma 23mm f1.4 or viltrox 27mm f1.2?
I would choose the viltrox because I want as fast as I can get, plus I love to #shootwideopen

No aperture ring? You didn't mention.
Forgot to mention it - thanks!
