  • I decided it would be nice to reflect on the past year of my skateboarding activities month by month and make a video for each.
So that means a series of videos attempting to fit in and describe what was happening.
I'm mainly doing this to make some diary of the year I can look back on in years to come but it's also a good way of filling in You viewers on what I've been doing in between the other videos I have already published.
I hope you enjoy the format please let me know what you think in the comments section below.
If you liked the video please hit the thumbs up and consider subscribing it will help me and the channel more than you know.

Great progress and a realistic approach my man. You don't have the speed on the ramp, you just need more to get you above the coping and you'd make them. Maybe get more comfortable with the drop-in so you can pump and then 50-50 the opposite lip.

Thanks, Drop in's on vert are my weakenss. I'm afraid of heights and although I've been dropping in on vert for about 4 years it never gets any easier. I also find this ramp especially difficult for speed as its quite a tight transition and "small" / cramped feeling for a vert ramp (11ft) I do feel more confortable with speed on slightly bigger ramps (have a look at some of my shorts videos) but unfortunatley, i just dont skate vert enough to get the kind of exposure and improvements that i get from the other terrians i ride more often.

@@NeilHesterSkateboarding Yeah completely understand, I'm the same. One of my personal skating achievements is dropping into the Harrow pool (f#@ked up transition). If it wasn't for the great British weather, I'd say forget the ramp and stick to the pool. You seem more comfortable with those dimensions and of course that tile and coping!

Ha! well if I didn’t start skating vert I wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as I am on anything else. Not saying I’m good but I’d be a whole lot worse.

Hey Neil, what rails are you using now? I've been using pig rails for some time, thinking of getting new rails just for a colour change, was going to get rib bones but saw a pretty scathing review video from yourself.

I use Santa Cruz cellblocks they are nice and hard like pig rails so slide really well but are deeper so you can space them further apart on a deck with deeper concave without bottoming out the middle of the deck.
They are definitely my favourite so far.
The Powell ones are too soft for my liking too asides from the poor production quality so don’t slide as well.

@@NeilHesterSkateboarding my first ever set of rails were Santa Cruz cell blocks I think, late 80s.

Neil, are they the Santa Cruz Slime Line rails? Can't find cell block ones.
