I thought this channel was well known until I saw the subscriber count. The production and quality is great! From the looks of it, your channel has some great content and I will definitely be subscribing. Keep up the great work!
A couple of additional steps you can do for Les Paul's is to remove the volume/tone knobs and the selector switch cap as pressure could be applied to the case top can cause damage. Also, remove the strap lock at the end of the guitar as any kind of knock at that end can cause serious damage to the guitar.
You should also place some thin foam paper between the strings and fretboard to prevent the strings from possibly grooving/cutting into any of the frets
Good question! From our experience, it doesn't really help and often times kind of puts a target on the box. If you're worried about the package best thing to do is to insure it for the full value of the guitar or whatever you're shipping. TL;DR - pack it right, insure if you're worried.
This kind of goes back to another comment where we talk about how marking things sometimes makes for an easy target with shippers to purposefully mistreat your package. You can mark "this side up" if it makes you feel better or use stickers/write with a marker etc, but it's not a must. Ideally your pack job should be good enough so it doesn't matter how the box is oriented for both transit and opening 👍

Agreed on all of those pointers..

Great useful video.
Well done! I like when UA-camrs spend time to spread their knowledge like this.
All the best from GodGivenGuitars, Sweden
Thanks!
No "Fragile" stickers on the outside? Good video. Thanks!

You did not mark UP! on the carton. Why?
