Such a profound Sermon, but so few people got the privilege to hear it. Let us thank God for this grace and let us strive to act on what we've heard. Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us. 🙏
Four years later and this is still my most watched and favorite sermon EVER. This particular priest is one of my favorites on this channel. Thank you for your wisdom and explanations, Father!
Our Lord keeps giving me oppurtunity to increase in humility, and I keep failing. And He keeps telling me, you must check your actions against My will first. Does it bring you peace or does it bring you anxiety. The Spirit always brings peace. Amem
We love because god FIRST Loved us !! I Thank You LORD - for God is LOVE Love is Eternal- Love never fails...The Word of God is Living and Active- sharper than a double-edged sword...
What a wonderful metaphor with regard to our Blessed Lord's way of helping us to be holy. Not only the metaphor, but the way Father explains it. I'll never look at a slab of marble - or any rock - the same way again!! 🙏
Prayer of Abandonment (from EWTN) Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures - I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul: I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father. After the 33 days of morning Glory, work your self in to Consoling the heart of Jesus, by Father Michael Gaitley, MIC. A very good Lenten study. Our Holy Catholic Church may be coming smaller in America, but those left will be fervent ! May God bless you all who subscribe to this channel !
This sermon (11:56) is my answer to what I remember a straw man accusation I once encountered in a man-hating feminist blog. She quoted a gay "theologian" accusing traditional priests of being masochists because of all the penitential language of the TLM. Reminds me of St. Anthony's quote, saying something along the lines that there will be a time when madmen will call you mad.
Like a sermon from you channel on piety I watched this weekend, this sermon really convicted me of my complaints my attitude! We need to be like that rock being chiseled instead of like a block of gelatin always wiggling when being striked! "All things work for good for them in Christ"! St.Paul, book of Romans!
Without "testing" we cannot experience the glory of God's presence because we are not like him until we are purified by these testing experiences. It's exactly because God loves us that we have these testing experiences. Otherwise we'd be thrown out with the trash as orphans.
God has power over the Devil. Even if it is Satan that tempts and persecutes you, it is because God has allowed him to, and God will not allow you to suffer beyond your strength.
Ok I have the Portuguese and the turn off captions option on this video. Maybe it's the type of phone I have. The other videos I have watched on this channel do have closed captions.
tim spangler Have you ever heard of St Paul, Tim? I'll cite your most favorable (probably) Bible: Colossians 1:24 King James Version (KJV) Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church. And how about the Word of God Himself saying (Luke 9:23) And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Before Jesus died on the cross He said IT IS FINISHED after his resurrection He said I HAVE WON THE WORLD Jesus lacked nothing in his horrible suffering FATHER FORGIVE THEM THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO, I believe we connect with Jesus in our suffering not because he lacked any. He then offer it up or we can offer it up ourselves to save soul help someone ect.. putting it in Gods hands for ultimate decision our suffering goes somewhere. I absolutely believe Jesus lacked nothing in his suffering for our sins it would be incomplete if that was so and no resurrection.
Tim, do you pray for the salvation of any soul? And are those prayers ever answered in the affirmative? Even if yours aren't, I presume you would say God does sometimes save people partially because of our prayers, in that God will not save such a person unless you pray for them. In that sense, any action God requires for the salvation of a person is redemptive. So we may offer our sufferings, in just the same way Our Lord offered His, for the salvation of anyone. It was because Our Lord is the example of redemptive suffering that our suffering can be enriched with this purpose: the salvation of souls.

Thank you Father, 3 Hail Mary's for you. I don't think I've made a lot of progress since I decided I wanted to be a saint. Still working.
1 rosary bead at a time... You're on your way. God bless you.

also, what's wrong with a big chunkmof marble ? did god create it ?
God
How do you know if the suffering your having is from God or the devil? How does quantum physics play into all of this?
So would it be going against God to use quantum physics theory?
The LORD does not bring fear - he shows you what you need- ask for a teachable spirit- i did that and He changed my perspective and improved my life

Who's this priest?

I rely on captions. It helps me to follow what the priest says. Please put English captions. Thank you for this great video.
UA-cam does it automatically in the closed caption feature

The analogy is flawed. God sees us as clay in a potters hands. Isaiah tells about this.
The LORD sees us through His eyes (character) of Love and possibility....
Will of god? Which god? Over 2000 are worshipped.
JESUS the Christ (the Anointed One) There is only One True LORD-
