💛...love pt reyes... it's been many moons since, but i remember having it sunny at the visitors center and hiking up to wittenberg and being really socked in on top...we could hear the ocean but could only see a few feet through the fog...lotsa raccoons... different color lupines on either side of the fault lines... the overwhelming fragrance of bay laurels... great episode... beautiful shots...
Sounds amazing. I was lucky to not deal with the infamous raccoons it seems. Although I wouldn't have minded to see them. You paint a picture making me want to return in a different season! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Sweet video. That's great you snagged a spot at Wildcat. Looked like you had pretty much the place to yourself. I went for the first time back in February and stayed at Coast. There weren't many people around then either. I had the same condensation issues too. Even had a little puddle in my chair. :D That's awesome you were able to chill next to some Elk.
How's the coast camp? I've been having condensation issues this winter, Im sure its because it's my single layer tent! I'm glad I left plenty to check out next time so hopefully I'll be back to explore other sites! Thanks for watching.
@NickInNature It was chill. I did a loop from the Bear Valley Trailhead. I used a single walled tent too but I don't think there's avoiding that moisture. A double walled tent would probably get damp too. Sounds great. I need to do the same. I've only explored a small portion of the area.
Nice Christmas surprise ! A Nick in nature video. Good trip. I did that one a few years ago. I remember raccoons prowling at night. Nice photography as always. I'm planning on hiking the "Lost Coast Trail' a section of it , this winter.
Happy Holidays! All this talk of raccoons, I feel like I had to of slept through them or something hahaha. I've read some on that trail seems awesome but the tides do give me a fright. Mainly because I've never had to deal with them before. I hope you have a good trip and get that perfect weather. Thanks for watching and commenting, always good to hear from you!
Beautiful place. I have done this one a couple times before. Too bad you did not go to Alamere Falls the first day when the tide was low. it is worth it. There are other nice waterfalls around that area as well.
I do regret not just going over to Alamere, I had plenty of time the first day. I was blissfully unaware the weather could be so drastically different there. Hmmm interesting, I must do some more research. Thanks for the comment on and the tips!
Great video. Looks like a great place to visit and camp. It’s on my to do list. Curious do you carry multiple batteries or power bank for your GoPro and phone while backpacking?
Thanks for the info. Also I was researching the area some more and was reading that the Stewart trail is also the only trail in the areas of the camps that you can bike on. I guess since it’s more of a road that makes sense. Still a great looking hike. I might check out the trail to wildcat from the bear valley trailhead. Looking forward to more videos.
@@NickInNature Ah, it looks like a common problem there since it’s so close to the ocean. I should bring something to wipe the tent down too the next time I go. My tent pretty much rained on the inside within an hour of setting up camp. It was unreal.
Stunning no other words I can think of. You make every shot look like a postcard, just beautiful.
Thanks, it means a lot! Inspires me to keep going!
Thanks for sharing Nick! Nice close ups of all the wonders🤩🙌❤️
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!!

Thanks! Wow, you're awesome. I really appreciate the support. Happy trails!
best campsite yet
Used to live an hour north of there. Great spot I miss quite a bit.
Great video. Looks like a great place to visit and camp. It’s on my to do list.

Thanks for the support! I carry 3 GoPro batteries and a 20000 mAh Anker battery. I charge all my devices off the Anker.

Did your tent wet out at all? Mine did when I went around the same time last year
@smellybearc7411 Definitely, I had to wipe the inside of my tent with a microfiber towel and I attempted to dry out my quilt before packing up!
