Hey, so I put a lot of work in this video and the update is a little bit underwhelming with how the weapons that have been nerfed. Are you happy with the update or No? Let me know! My thoughts are we deserved to see more weapons buffed in the ammo department yet instead we received nerfs. The update is fun, the difficulty is great but the egg extraction was super underwhelming. @@GlitchUnlimited sort of. The Impaler is fun to fight for sure. However, the flame weapon nerfs do leave something to be desired. It would be nice if the anti tank mines would only activate on heavy enemies/elites.
I disagree that the slugger is nerfed, the spread and drag (idk what drag is, is that weapon sway?) is not noticeable, the stagger force is the same as the old slugger now which is all I wanted.
Is that 2 weapons nerfed? The Breaker Incendiary and the grenade pistol ? both of them debatably. I consider that grenade pistol buffed because what was limiting it was the ammo you got back not the total amount of ammo. 3 weapon if you consider the flame thrower? That's what you mean by "how many"?
@ExoticBobcat The Impaler had me chuckling each time my character was thrown across the map. I love it. Soo...well done Devs, well done! It's awesome and I think it's fun and challenging. And yes have to agree with you on that. I bought the anti tank mine stratagem today and have not tested it out much. Is it triggering for other enemy types? Like smaller enemies?
@@reeperoni Slugger got beaten up a bit but I'd say it's nice with the increase stagger force but I mean really is it good now? I think it can be debated yet I think for sure it's not worth using still. I might have to give it another go.
Why does it feel like we get nerfs and enemy gets buffs and get new units/ weapons /vehicles/ bigger facilities, yet we get nothing, no vehicles yet, weapons feel like like shit and spend most my time reloading or out of ammo. There’s no fun aspect for me anymore, it’s just annoying.
Exactly this. I am through, I am not coming back until an ACTUAL content drop happens - which is player FRIENDLY. Joel said he became CCO to stop nerfs, well the opposite has (mostly) happened again. And that is the crucial part you mention - fun. It is continually being sucked out, and I had my hopes up but screw this update, as much as I love the I just no longer have now. I hope one day they turn it around, but I fear it may be too late.
Sadly it's good old negativity bias. Someone not that long ago made a post visualizing the amount of buffs vs the amount of nefs patch by patch and the amount of buffs vastly outnumbered the number of nerfs. For example in this patch we got 4 significant buffs (120mm, shield backpack, guard god and walking barrage) and one insignificant (shield relay). We also got 1 significant nerf (flame thrower) and 2 relatively insignificant nerfs (granade pistol and breaker) but people are really focused on the nerfs because that's just how we work. Our overall arsenal is way stronger than it used to be back on release.
So let me get this straight Arrowhead, you release an entire paid premium warbond with flamethrower weapons, and flame-resistant armor. And you nerf flamethrower damage on the majority of enemies immediately before it comes out. Galaxy-brained balance.
Exactly I'm wiping everything from this game on my hard drive. Assault rifles needs so much work. At least the flamethrower was FUN. So many things needed buffs. And buy buffs I don't mean more damage and less ammo capacity. I swear they could give us rocks to throw at things, it would be fun and powerful. They would be no no no no no no. Let's make it tennis balls that do no damage. This was my game of the year. But the balance team have killed the game. I just can't support this anymore.
flamethrowers still chew through everything it used to, it just may not be as effective against chargers in particular. and i had a feeling this wasn't intended since i found out about it but one thing i will say, is chargers should get a nerf. they're shockingly common and there's no real reliable way to kill them except a well placed heavy hitter
The nerf on the flamethrower makes it not a good overal anymore.But nerf on the breaker is not bad.I mean...Lots of fooks using that breaker and just spraying in panic without aiming at all.And are cremating their own team.Regular breaker when aiming is way more effective against most enemies.Hope they will get backflash for the flamer.Just bullshit that you can't bake a charger with it?Come on...Just a big bug with 4 legs that can resist heat.
They took the Flamethrower from best ani bug gun to actually unplayable. It can't kill Chargers anymore and it basically has no AOE anymore. The fire now stops at the enemy it hits rather then reaching through. So it is also hot garbage at clearing groups of enemies. It is literally bad at everything now.
Honestly I still think it's pretty effective. Do I want the devs to revert it? Obviously I do. I wouldn't say it's unplayable but it's not what it was before. Plus, on the bright side, we got a ton of buffs.

@@jonelestraza2231 I never have this problem as AR main(dat type of weapon will teach u to conserve ur mag by constantly 1 tapping their heads instead of repeatedly spraying on already dead foe). Whichever type of primary u bring, Combined use of strategem and support weapon is still necessary. And as long as supply backpack exist, ammo will remain not an issue. (if u can't help it, stealth is still a thing here)

Personally I petition we have the balancing devs periodically stream max difficulty missions on twitch so they get to to experience what we do and we can laugh at them
They know they can't play their own game on higher difficulties with their sucky and idiotic nerfs, that would make their stupid narrative and all those nerf whores that plays on lower difficulties crumble like a sand castle.
I'm still going to use it because it's effective against bugs. I'm more interested in the war bond items and how it will do after this update. Since the flamethrower has received a huge change.
@@carlosM04 have you even played HD2 with the fire breaker, the magazine does not carry alot of incendiary rounds, it literally becomes empty in a second while you're in a fight with swarms of bugs

They keep throwing new enemy types at us but nerf the guns that are fun and actually worth it to use, but I fear by the time that they realize what they are doing that too many players will have left and that continued operation of the game will quit. I gave them so many chances and had my hope up with Joel "being in command" now, but it seems he became just like Alexus. I'm through.
"useless weapons" there are no useless weapons, literally every single primary is more than enough to deal with anything smaller than a tank or charger, even still some can handle those just fine, fire shotty is was op cuz it had insane crowd control with zero drawbacks, all u have to do now is not to spam it like a moron and count ur shots, plus flamethrower exist
they cant comprehend - obviously because otherwise it means they would do it on purpose - that players sticking to certain loadouts not because they love it, but because they are usable and offer at least some fun.

It seems Joel the CCO (former CEO) was gone or something, since these "balance" changes are things that Alexus would push through in the past. I am so sick of this, I am done with Helldivers until a good content update comes.

@@lorenzogiuliani3724 Almost like prolonged exposure to flames is an incredibly good way to bypass armour. They just nerfed a logical approach to dealing with heavily armoured organic lifeforms. At the very least if they're gonna use the excuse of it being a "bug" then the flamethrower should at least have the ability to melt the armour plating allowing small arms to finish it off.
I’m in the corner where they’re buffing stuff I use. The Blitzer is no longer Carpel Tunnel simulator and still wrecks bugs as hard as the Incendiary. This must be what autocannon mains feel like reading patch notes.

They buffed the bots shot spread last patch, now their missiles always fly in a straight line and heavy devastators can one tap you even at distances that you would need a scope to shoot.

sounds like side affects of the fire changes because it cant shoot through chain link fences as stated in known issues also this affects all flame thrower type projectile including hulk scorcher(sometimes if the muzzle isnt phasinf through a rock) and nex warbond weapons

Reduce mags is def a huge deal, especially for one that uses Spears or Recoiless rifle as a support, it’s annoying to have to scavenge for ammo every 2 reloads and cannot survive through a last stand. I’m already scrounging up for ammo for my goddamn spear! Let me have some damn fun man.
I second your statement HUGELY, for the Bugs are so much less fun to fight against now. Though with the Automatons you now get ragdolled non-stop.. they really know how to take the fun out of a game that WAS fun..
Why are people acting like it got nerfed to the ground and is completely unusable? It literally just lost 2 mags and a bit more recoil it almost doesn't make a difference to how good the gun is, just bring a supply pack or get a teammate to get one.

They changed flames to where they don’t go through terrain and some Armor. Looks like the flames can’t pierce multiple enemies or charger legs. Pain. It does however sound like it helps with preventing automaton flame hulks from burning you through rocks. Unfortunately, looks like the flame weapons such as the flamethrower are no longer AS effective.
You can't kill chargers with the flamethrower. One of the best and most consistent ways to deal with things. The new war bond is flamethrowers... See where this is going. Yea uninstalled. They need to make the bad things in the game better not take anything away
They love it because it’s a broken gun. Literally a crutch that allows bad players to coast through the high difficulties. Skill issue all bundled up in a coat of orange.

I am done with this game. arrowhead are just beyond saving. how do you reduce magazines on a weapon like the breaker to 4 magazines? six already felt likt it was barely enough. After all that bs about not nerfing weapons anymore, it took them just a short while to do so again.
Tbf on bug missions, it's sooooo common for every player to run it. Which imo is part of the reason the game ends up so stale for some players. They figure out something that works, never checking out anything else that works as well. Now, if you wanna run it, grab a supply pack simple.

Even with the reduction in mags, it still has 126 total rounds which is crazy good, it used to have 176! Meanwhile the pump actions are sitting at 72, which is decent 😊 Learn to adapt, or just play something else.
The old Incendiary Breaker made bugs way too easy. If you felt strapped for ammo before the nerf, you were probably spamming shots like crazy. Either find ammo boxes on the map or run the Supply Pack.

It was literally the most busted weapon in the game. Of course they feel the need to nerf it. YOU, the player, never learn. They didn’t change the damage, they didn’t change its ROF, they changed recoil and ammo reserves. Heaven forbid you loot a POI or bring a supply pack.

Strictly from a business standpoint, if you're going to hype up a huge release it's not the right time to do any nerfs. Not even minor roundabout nerfs. Because this here is exactly what happens. There's a lot of really neat stuff and quality changes included, but that's not the topic anyone is talking about. People fixate on the thing that pisses them off disproportionately. It's really going to take a lot of the wind out of the sails for such a major update. Because other minor problems that people probably wouldn't have thought about are just going to be added on to the fire of how upset they are about the nerfs. I've said it a thousand times, always buff unused things never nerf popular things. If you want to lure people away from the incendiary shotgun, you don't make it unfun to use it you make other things so fun that they're willing to leave it behind.
I was gonna hop back into the game at this update, and i read the patch notes. More arbitrary nerfs? Nah fuck that im not playing for another few months.
It wouldn't be so dominant if the other options weren't bad or niche at best... their vision seems to instead of healing a broken leg to make you walk, they just break your other leg to make it even.
I've seen a huge change in primary weapon diversity, especially for bugs. The Breaker Incendiary is still there, but I've seen more Sickle, Tenderizer, heck even I saw some Lib Pen here and there (I'm an Adjudicator user myself). So, this Breaker Incendiary nerf is uncalled for. Instead AH should buff the other.
thats not because those mentioned are good or even better than the pre-updated breaker inc. Its because ppl are annoyed to play over and over again the only half way usable weapons with an okayish ammo-reload-time to kill ratio. I used the breaker for this reason, not because i loved it. And i constantly tested out other primaries but had to switch back in the hope they make other weapons more usable too. But here we are. Everything turns to unforeseen shit and it starts to feel open disrespectful against players now. I dont see any point to play this game anymore. Fun isnt allowed
Played about an hour after update and all flame is nerfed and the grenade pistol now only has 6 rounds instead of 8 just LOVELY for the new mega nests especially when there is no ammo around them (and no, giveing 4 ammo instead of 2 is not a buff). Already uninstalled the game
i hardly used the incendiary always hated it but 5 mags is ridiculous... the amount of times you require a mag dump i.e shrieker patrol, breach etc... if your not packing the ammo rack that is completely unviable at high levels, they did this exact same shit to the regular Breaker people loved it so they busted its ammo economy to stop people using it... you know whats meta these days? ammo racks! are they next?
That is literally the sole reason I take the Supply Pack to Bug missions - to combine it with my Grenade Launcher and to have a lot of Stims (since I wear that 200 armor rating armor otherwise you die WAY too quick on the higher difficulty levels versus them). Now I don't even want to think going in without a Supply Pack in Bug missions for ANYTHING, screw these player-unfriendly updates. I'm through.
I usually use the breaker incendiary for everything, but for the chargers and bile titan, i use the spear and orbital railcannon. But after the patch, i need to swap the spear for a supply pack, and now i use orbital laser for biles. I am forced to do things i dont want to do.
Arrowhead should just stop teaching the Mainguns until they actually hire people who know what they are doing. The last thing the Incindiary Breaker needed was a Nerf...
Level 146. I've been here since day one. I dont think people understand HOW GOOD the game was at 1.0. It was a feature complete, nearly bug free game with no microtransactions. Everything was nearly flawless. Its something I haven't seen in gaming in YEARS. Then, the server issues happened. The game exploded in popularity. I slogged through it for weeks. They patched the game every tuesday, with some good results for the first 8 weeks or so. I have never seen a team so tirelessly and relentlessly try to destroy something beautiful. With this patch, im over it. Ive had enpugh. I hope no one at arrowhead other than the original team who had this vision to begin with, ever works in the gaming industry ever again. Uninstalled. Its been an honor gentlemen.
Boy, the time we didn't had hunters taking 90% of your HP in one hit due to some idiots on AH thinking it was a good idea to add headshot damage to players, armor not mattering was just a fair price to pay.
I noticed a difference immediately when I used the FlameThrower (without knowing they changed how flames worked) and I noticed that the fire was acting how fire should which I thought was kinda cool, buuuuut, it is a new learning curve with it so I'm not sure about this change yet have to play around with it a bit more but it is kinda disappointing that 1v1'ing charges isn't as viable anymore with the Flamethrower, I used to be able to take on like 3 or 4 at once no problem but I just took on one and it was taking forever to die, I realized the flames just straight up weren't doing anything against the front plate, you have to aim under it, I don't know, it's weird but gotta do some testing to make a decision if this change is good or not -Your local Pyromaniac P.S. This does make we worried about the Warbond now and Primaries in general, as for the needless nerfs, exspecially to the IE Breaker.....like why.....why AH, why??? It already uses up ammo like crazy, why 2 drums less now???
The nerf to the magazine for the incendiary breaker is completely idiotic. The weapon already went through ammo like it was nothing and now the weapon is just not usable without a ammo backpack. Can we please STOP nerfing the fun weapons.
the incendiary breaker was not a small nerf it was a HUGE nerf, especialy when i run it comboed with the ammo backpack because i burn through so much ammo being as the guns damage output is not super high to the point where we need less ammo
Pretty sad about the Breaker Incendiary nerf and overall fire nerf. It doesn't make sense since they're adding higher difficulties and a fire based premium warbond.
Hahaha... if you take AH history with weapons, your nuclear bomb explosion will have the size of a firecracker and the radiation will take forever to kill anything but you or your teammates... 500kg doesn't need a buff, it need consistency because it is weird that 500kg of explosives landing right on the face of a charger sometimes doesn't kill it.
Instead of nerfing weapons, they should release a weapon system with levels. So say on difficulty lvl 8, there will be weapons you can purchase for that tier and on lvl 9, there are stronger weapons that can accommodate for lvl 9. Cuz nerfing weapons is not helping but hurting more players than helping
For those curious about how FLAM works now against chargers I took it after downloading the patch. It takes 2 stun nades and 2 canisters of fuel to kill a charger. Before patch I often didnt even bother with stuns because like... half (?) a canister was enough.
Notes on new enemies. The exposed portion of the Impaler is only armor 2, meaning nearly every weapon can damage them significantly. Also, their tendrils can't emerge to close to the main impaler, well _I think._ The Rocket Striders actually have a notable weakness, while their armor greatly resists explosive damage. The Autocannon takes four shots to bring it down, but detonating those rockects mounted to the side prematurely can deal significant damage. Detonating at least 2 will usually kill it. This can be done with nearly any weapon, but will require good aim. The grenade pistol has recived a buff to the ammo economy, and it can also one-shot rocket striders by a direct impact to the cabin. This has also nerfed rocket Devestators indirectly, well, their rocket packs detonate now when shot, we'll need more time with it.
The guard dog using ammo boxes around the map is a pretty big deal for me since I really like it for bugs. It can help screen against smaller bugs so you don't get overwhelmed as easily, so seeing all these quality of life improvements is a huge plus!
I was having so much fun with the flamethrower. It was the one weapon I could count on. I’m fucking down with this game. I’ve been a helldivers since the original but man I’ve had enough
Everyone in here whining about the breaker nerf is huffing copium. You know it was a crutch, it wasn’t “fun.” It was the reason you weren’t failing in high difficulties. This has been a long time coming, don’t be such a baby.

This game is dying out with these nonsensical updates, Joel even promised to stop the nerfing and he didn't.. a long time coming is this game dying. When a weapon states "one handed" it doesn't necessarily mean your helldiver can hold it only in one hand it means essentially that you can still shoot it in one hand while running away or towards enemies or while carrying something in the other hand like a ballistic shield or some objects like the data drives... Either way the crossbow now having the ability to be one handed makes it more interesting for me to use it.
well it is still thrash tier though.. low rate of fire, pitful aoe and damage, but hey you can use it with a shield that is also thrash since it works only on one faction.

That is the worst thing about it, the CEO became CCO to "stop the nerfs from happening" and it seems like he became just like his predecessor. The Strategem buffs aren't even worth mentioning. I am through with this game until they release a player-friendly update, they just KEEP sucking the fun out and adding NEW spammy enemy types.
I want to like this update but the nerfs are so unnecessary. Buff things! Players will use other weapons if they’re actually good, nerfing a popular gun to oblivion is not the only way of encouraging diverse builds. Especially when there is basically no alternatives for the nerfed gun when it comes to effectiveness. At this point I think they care more about the enjoyment of the bugs and bots
As a breaker incendiary/flame thrower user, I was super excited to jump back in when the new warbond dropped. Now, I’m just done with these idiots actively making their game unfun. I’ll wait for warhammer where I’ll actually feel like an elite soldier.
I don't know if this was mentioned, but so far in my testing beam weapons now set targets on fire. I'm not sure if that was mentioned in the patch notes at all, but it seems like a big change for those types of weapons.
Personally I really dislike the Breaker Incendiary. Not cause it's bad but because just about EVERYONE uses it and they don't seem to care that any friendlies are down range when firing. Now it wouldn't be bad if you just got clipped by a pellet or two from it through some enemies but since it's flammables it instantly lights me up and 8/10 times I die because I can't dive or get a stim off in time because I was already busy doing other stuff. I've removed rando friends from my friends list because they consistently spray at a bug horde in front of me lighting me on fire repeatedly even after being told 'please don't shoot in my general direction with that.'
There is a reason why everyone used the fire breaker, because it was effective, and got the job done. Not everyone is an egotard like you who need to brag about running around with toothpicks bud. Some of us like to have fun playing a game, we do not need a second job. Considering the thousands of smart players who have left this trash behind, with more to follow, you are part of a dwindling player base that chooses to suck on devtard knobs and continue playing a pos game, when there are way better shooters to play out there. This news just solidified that I'm over the game. They continue to make enemies stronger and our weapons and skills continue to lack any excitement or fun factor.

@@DutchGuyMike 10 difficulty levels is dumb anyway imho, Easy, Normal, Hard, Helldive, thats all we needed. Trying to balance out 10 difficulty levels is insane, no wonder they keep nerfing weapons. They should be bringing the vast useless arsenal of weapons up to scratch with the few good guns worth taking, that is how you get people to diversify their loadouts, while remaining to have fun, not nerfing crowd favourites. When are we going to get an update like a “democratic counteroffence” that aims to power us up with something new and refreshed old Equipment?

I only play Helldivers about once a week now and I’m a daily gamer. I have 500 + hours in game but when I play a game I like my weapons to feel like they pack a punch. I don’t wanna use the same loadout every single run I like to use different play styles. I like to have fun and kill stress. Helldivers kicked ass on release but even after this update I’ve fallen out of love with the game. Wish I could give positive feedback but that’s my feelings. If I wanted to feel weak and have a challenge I’d play souls games. When I think democracy liberty and freedom I think kicking ass!!!! Unfortunately Helldivers doesn’t have that feel anymore 😞
Did you watch their stream. They were shooting at gunships with incendiary breakers, bringing fire stratagems to bots, and struggling at lv 5. It all makes sense now they don't even play their own game. Fck this game, hope warhammer can replace them

And now did the complete opposite (the Stratagem boost is barely noteworthy), until there is a content update that is actually player-friendly and adds NEW CONTENT rather than enemies/maps, I'm through.

if you use the flame breaker like its supposed to, you'll never run out of ammo. fire damage does not stack so there's no reason to hit an enemy more than once unless its in your face or stopped burning the recoil barely matters since that thing is just pissing bullets in all directions, and the grenade pistol thing is honestly a buff. the main issue i had with it was that you'd have to use a full resupply pack to refill it completely. i'll trade an extra 2 rounds for that any day of the week
Yeah, I am so goddamn sick of this bullcrap. I was having my hopes up for weapon BUFFS, because of all the new enemy types - in the beginning it was way less bullshit being thrown at you. And now instead they NERF stuff again (I'm sure Alexus was in charge again due to Joel being absent, the creative director and former CEO). Guess it's no more Helldivers 2 for me, I am so sick of all the nerfs. Perhaps some day they will get the brain to keep the fun in the game but I fear that day comes too late and by that time too many people will have left for it to remain profitable.

@@CrispyMuffin2 You don't play higher difficulties right mate ? the incendiary takes a fair amount of bullets to kill brood commanders and stalkers, on diff 9 you get used to seeing patrols with 2 at minimum and up to 4, now with the added variant you can see patrols with 7 or more.
Hey, so I put a lot of work in this video and the update is a little bit underwhelming with how the weapons that have been nerfed. Are you happy with the update or No? Let me know! My thoughts are we deserved to see more weapons buffed in the ammo department yet instead we received nerfs. The update is fun, the difficulty is great but the egg extraction was super underwhelming. @@GlitchUnlimited sort of. The Impaler is fun to fight for sure. However, the flame weapon nerfs do leave something to be desired. It would be nice if the anti tank mines would only activate on heavy enemies/elites.
I disagree that the slugger is nerfed, the spread and drag (idk what drag is, is that weapon sway?) is not noticeable, the stagger force is the same as the old slugger now which is all I wanted.
Is that 2 weapons nerfed? The Breaker Incendiary and the grenade pistol ? both of them debatably. I consider that grenade pistol buffed because what was limiting it was the ammo you got back not the total amount of ammo. 3 weapon if you consider the flame thrower? And yes have to agree with you on that. I bought the anti tank mine stratagem today and have not tested it out much. Is it triggering for other enemy types? Like smaller enemies?

Why does it feel like we get nerfs and enemy gets buffs and get new units/ weapons /vehicles/ bigger facilities, yet we get nothing, no vehicles yet, weapons feel like like shit and spend most my time reloading or out of ammo. There’s no fun aspect for me anymore, it’s just annoying.
Exactly this. I am through, I am not coming back until an ACTUAL content drop happens - which is player FRIENDLY. Joel said he became CCO to stop nerfs, well the opposite has (mostly) happened again. And that is the crucial part you mention - fun. It is continually being sucked out, and I had my hopes up but screw this update, as much as I love the I just no longer have now. I hope one day they turn it around, but I fear it may be too late.
Sadly it's good old negativity bias. Someone not that long ago made a post visualizing the amount of buffs vs the amount of nefs patch by patch and the amount of buffs vastly outnumbered the number of nerfs.
For example in this patch we got 4 significant buffs (120mm, shield backpack, guard god and walking barrage) and one insignificant (shield relay). We also got 1 significant nerf (flame thrower) and 2 relatively insignificant nerfs (granade pistol and breaker) but people are really focused on the nerfs because that's just how we work. Our overall arsenal is way stronger than it used to be back on release.

Exactly I'm wiping everything from this game on my hard drive. Assault rifles needs so much work. At least the flamethrower was FUN. So many things needed buffs. And buy buffs I don't mean more damage and less ammo capacity. I swear they could give us rocks to throw at things, it would be fun and powerful. They would be no no no no no no. Let's make it tennis balls that do no damage. This was my game of the year. But the balance team have killed the game. I just can't support this anymore.

They took the Flamethrower from best ani bug gun to actually unplayable.
It can't kill Chargers anymore and it basically has no AOE anymore. The fire now stops at the enemy it hits rather then reaching through. So it is also hot garbage at clearing groups of enemies.

Honestly I still think it's pretty effective. Do I want the devs to revert it? Obviously I do. I wouldn't say it's unplayable but it's not what it was before. Plus, on the bright side, we got a ton of buffs.

Whichever type of primary u bring, Combined use of strategem and support weapon is still necessary. And as long as supply backpack exist, ammo will remain not an issue. (if u can't help it, stealth is still a thing here)

@@lorenzogiuliani3724 Almost like prolonged exposure to flames is an incredibly good way to bypass armour. They just nerfed a logical approach to dealing with heavily armoured organic lifeforms. At the very least if they're gonna use the excuse of it being a "bug" then the flamethrower should at least have the ability to melt the armour plating allowing small arms to finish it off.

It kinda feels like the Bugs and bots get more Warbonds than we do, and they never have their favorite weapons (rockets and mouth tentacles) nerfed.
They buffed the bots shot spread last patch, now their missiles always fly in a straight line and heavy devastators can one tap you even at distances that you would need a scope to shoot.

Reduce mags is def a huge deal, especially for one that uses Spears or Recoiless rifle as a support, it’s annoying to have to scavenge for ammo every 2 reloads and cannot survive through a last stand. I’m already scrounging up for ammo for my goddamn spear! Let me have some damn fun man.

They changed flames to where they don’t go through terrain and some Armor. Looks like the flames can’t pierce multiple enemies or charger legs. Pain. It does however sound like it helps with preventing automaton flame hulks from burning you through rocks. Unfortunately, looks like the flame weapons such as the flamethrower are no longer AS effective.

I am done with this game. arrowhead are just beyond saving. how do you reduce magazines on a weapon like the breaker to 4 magazines? six already felt likt it was barely enough. After all that bs about not nerfing weapons anymore, it took them just a short while to do so again.
Tbf on bug missions, it's sooooo common for every player to run it. Which imo is part of the reason the game ends up so stale for some players. They figure out something that works, never checking out anything else that works as well. Now, if you wanna run it, grab a supply pack simple.

the supply backpack is super useful, i dont see people using it enough. and im sick of getting slapped in the face with a random incendiary pellets from teammates. idk why people are so against the idea of experimentation and changing up your loadout. the breakers are great, but theyre not the only option.
Even with the reduction in mags, it still has 126 total rounds which is crazy good, it used to have 176!
Meanwhile the pump actions are sitting at 72, which is decent 😊

The old Incendiary Breaker made bugs way too easy. If you felt strapped for ammo before the nerf, you were probably spamming shots like crazy. Either find ammo boxes on the map or run the Supply Pack.

Strictly from a business standpoint, if you're going to hype up a huge release it's not the right time to do any nerfs. Not even minor roundabout nerfs.
Because this here is exactly what happens. There's a lot of really neat stuff and quality changes included, but that's not the topic anyone is talking about. People fixate on the thing that pisses them off disproportionately.
It's really going to take a lot of the wind out of the sails for such a major update. Because other minor problems that people probably wouldn't have thought about are just going to be added on to the fire of how upset they are about the nerfs.
I've said it a thousand times, always buff unused things never nerf popular things. If you want to lure people away from the incendiary shotgun, you don't make it unfun to use it you make other things so fun that they're willing to leave it behind.
Because fixing issues isn't bringing new features, they were supposed to do that on a live service game.

I've seen a huge change in primary weapon diversity, especially for bugs. The Breaker Incendiary is still there, but I've seen more Sickle, Tenderizer, heck even I saw some Lib Pen here and there (I'm an Adjudicator user myself). So, this Breaker Incendiary nerf is uncalled for. Instead AH should buff the other.

You see this because players who stopped playing from 4 months ago came back, still using the meta loadout from before.
thats not because those mentioned are good or even better than the pre-updated breaker inc. Its because ppl are annoyed to play over and over again the only half way usable weapons with an okayish ammo-reload-time to kill ratio. I used the breaker for this reason, not because i loved it. And i constantly tested out other primaries but had to switch back in the hope they make other weapons more usable too. But here we are. Everything turns to unforeseen shit and it starts to feel open disrespectful against players now. I dont see any point to play this game anymore. Fun isnt allowed

Played about an hour after update and all flame is nerfed and the grenade pistol now only has 6 rounds instead of 8 just LOVELY for the new mega nests especially when there is no ammo around them (and no, giveing 4 ammo instead of 2 is not a buff). Already uninstalled the game
i hardly used the incendiary always hated it but 5 mags is ridiculous... the amount of times you require a mag dump i.e shrieker patrol, breach etc... if your not packing the ammo rack that is completely unviable at high levels, they did this exact same shit to the regular Breaker people loved it so they busted its ammo economy to stop people using it... you know whats meta these days? ammo racks! are they next?
That is literally the sole reason I take the Supply Pack to Bug missions - to combine it with my Grenade Launcher and to have a lot of Stims (since I wear that 200 armor rating armor otherwise you die WAY too quick on the higher difficulty levels versus them). Now I don't even want to think going in without a Supply Pack in Bug missions for ANYTHING, screw these player-unfriendly updates. I'm through.
I usually use the breaker incendiary for everything, but for the chargers and bile titan, i use the spear and orbital railcannon. But after the patch, i need to swap the spear for a supply pack, and now i use orbital laser for biles. I am forced to do things i dont want to do.
I take the jump pack and either slugger or punisher plasma and I have absolutely no issues
Arrowhead should just stop teaching the Mainguns until they actually hire people who know what they are doing.

Level 146. I've been here since day one. I dont think people understand HOW GOOD the game was at 1.0. It was a feature complete, nearly bug free game with no microtransactions. Everything was nearly flawless. Its something I haven't seen in gaming in YEARS. Then, the server issues happened. The game exploded in popularity. I slogged through it for weeks. They patched the game every tuesday, with some good results for the first 8 weeks or so. I have never seen a team so tirelessly and relentlessly try to destroy something beautiful. With this patch, im over it. Ive had enpugh. I hope no one at arrowhead other than the original team who had this vision to begin with, ever works in the gaming industry ever again. Uninstalled.

Boy, the time we didn't had hunters taking 90% of your HP in one hit due to some idiots on AH thinking it was a good idea to add headshot damage to players, armor not mattering was just a fair price to pay.
I noticed a difference immediately when I used the FlameThrower (without knowing they changed how flames worked) and I noticed that the fire was acting how fire should which I thought was kinda cool, buuuuut, it is a new learning curve with it so I'm not sure about this change yet have to play around with it a bit more but it is kinda disappointing that 1v1'ing charges isn't as viable anymore with the Flamethrower, I used to be able to take on like 3 or 4 at once no problem but I just took on one and it was taking forever to die, I realized the flames just straight up weren't doing anything against the front plate, you have to aim under it, I don't know, it's weird but gotta do some testing to make a decision if this change is good or not

The nerf to the magazine for the incendiary breaker is completely idiotic. The weapon already went through ammo like it was nothing and now the weapon is just not usable without a ammo backpack. Can we please STOP nerfing the fun weapons.

the incendiary breaker was not a small nerf it was a HUGE nerf, especialy when i run it comboed with the ammo backpack because i burn through so much ammo being as the guns damage output is not super high to the point where we need less ammo
If they didn't mess with the Flamethrower and Breaker Incendiary, the update would have been a full win I think.

Hahaha... if you take AH history with weapons, your nuclear bomb explosion will have the size of a firecracker and the radiation will take forever to kill anything but you or your teammates... 500kg doesn't need a buff, it need consistency because it is weird that 500kg of explosives landing right on the face of a charger sometimes doesn't kill it.

Instead of nerfing weapons, they should release a weapon system with levels. So say on difficulty lvl 8, there will be weapons you can purchase for that tier and on lvl 9, there are stronger weapons that can accommodate for lvl 9. Cuz nerfing weapons is not helping but hurting more players than helping
For those curious about how FLAM works now against chargers I took it after downloading the patch.
It takes 2 stun nades and 2 canisters of fuel to kill a charger.
Before patch I often didnt even bother with stuns because like... half (?) a canister was enough.

The exposed portion of the Impaler is only armor 2, meaning nearly every weapon can damage them significantly.
Also, their tendrils can't emerge to close to the main impaler, well _I think._
The Rocket Striders actually have a notable weakness, while their armor greatly resists explosive damage. The Autocannon takes four shots to bring it down, but detonating those rockects mounted to the side prematurely can deal significant damage. Detonating at least 2 will usually kill it.
This can be done with nearly any weapon, but will require good aim.
The grenade pistol has recived a buff to the ammo economy, and it can also one-shot rocket striders by a direct impact to the cabin.
This has also nerfed rocket Devestators indirectly, well, their rocket packs detonate now when shot, we'll need more time with it.
The guard dog using ammo boxes around the map is a pretty big deal for me since I really like it for bugs. It can help screen against smaller bugs so you don't get overwhelmed as easily, so seeing all these quality of life improvements is a huge plus!

When a weapon states "one handed" it doesn't necessarily mean your helldiver can hold it only in one hand it means essentially that you can still shoot it in one hand while running away or towards enemies or while carrying something in the other hand like a ballistic shield or some objects like the data drives... Either way the crossbow now having the ability to be one handed makes it more interesting for me to use it.
well it is still thrash tier though.. low rate of fire, pitful aoe and damage, but hey you can use it with a shield that is also thrash since it works only on one faction.

That is the worst thing about it, the CEO became CCO to "stop the nerfs from happening" and it seems like he became just like his predecessor. The Strategem buffs aren't even worth mentioning. Players will use other weapons if they’re actually good, nerfing a popular gun to oblivion is not the only way of encouraging diverse builds. Especially when there is basically no alternatives for the nerfed gun when it comes to effectiveness.

I don't know if this was mentioned, but so far in my testing beam weapons now set targets on fire. I'm not sure if that was mentioned in the patch notes at all, but it seems like a big change for those types of weapons.
Im fuming over the SG incendiary and Flamethrower nerf. Like why the need to change? They seems to not like the IDEA OF PLAYERS HAVING FUN!!

Personally I really dislike the Breaker Incendiary. Not cause it's bad but because just about EVERYONE uses it and they don't seem to care that any friendlies are down range when firing. Now it wouldn't be bad if you just got clipped by a pellet or two from it through some enemies but since it's flammables it instantly lights me up and 8/10 times I die because I can't dive or get a stim off in time because I was already busy doing other stuff. I've removed rando friends from my friends list because they consistently spray at a bug horde in front of me lighting me on fire repeatedly even after being told 'please don't shoot in my general direction with that.'
Seems like you just get unlucky and it's not like the damage hurts you - just jump and the fire is out...
There is a reason why everyone used the fire breaker, because it was effective, and got the job done.

I hear ya, half my experience with bugs was getting constantly set on fire by friendlies. When everyone but you has a breaker incendiary it's hard to avoid unless you literally let them do the heavy lifting and sit in the back.

This news just solidified that I'm over the game. They continue to make enemies stronger and our weapons and skills continue to lack any excitement or fun factor.

I sometimes feel like that they have more love for the mobs than for us players. Don’t get me wrong, it’s right to add new enemies to keep the game fresh, but this is yet another update that brings MAJOR upgrades to the enemies, significant nerfs and irrelevant buffs for helldivers. When are we going to get an update like a “democratic counteroffence” that aims to power us up with something new and refreshed old Equipment?
The game is about fun at the end of the day they should be making all weapons good and useable against bugs or automatons

I only play Helldivers about once a week now and I’m a daily gamer. I have 500 + hours in game but when I play a game I like my weapons to feel like they pack a punch. I don’t wanna use the same loadout every single run I like to use different play styles. I like to have fun and kill stress. Helldivers kicked ass on release but even after this update I’ve fallen out of love with the game. Wish I could give positive feedback but that’s my feelings. If I wanted to feel weak and have a challenge I’d play souls games. When I think democracy liberty and freedom I think kicking ass!!!! Unfortunately Helldivers doesn’t have that feel anymore 😞

if you use the flame breaker like its supposed to, you'll never run out of ammo. fire damage does not stack so there's no reason to hit an enemy more than once unless its in your face or stopped burning
the recoil barely matters since that thing is just pissing bullets in all directions, and the grenade pistol thing is honestly a buff. the main issue i had with it was that you'd have to use a full resupply pack to refill it completely. i'll trade an extra 2 rounds for that any day of the week

And now instead they NERF stuff again (I'm sure Alexus was in charge again due to Joel being absent, the creative director and former CEO). Guess it's no more Helldivers 2 for me, I am so sick of all the nerfs. Perhaps some day they will get the brain to keep the fun in the game but I fear that day comes too late and by that time too many people will have left for it to remain profitable.

@@CrispyMuffin2 You don't play higher difficulties right mate ? the incendiary takes a fair amount of bullets to kill brood commanders and stalkers, on diff 9 you get used to seeing patrols with 2 at minimum and up to 4, now with the added variant you can see patrols with 7 or more.
