I love my Chanel parfum. I can see the edp being more mass appealing though. Also, i love my YSL Y Le Parfum. Love that vanilla, lavender, geranium mix. And, i totally agree that Dior homme Intense is better than anything Givenci simply because Givenci does not project or last.
I like Givenchy Boisee better than Dior Homme Intense. I think Boisee is a lot smoother and more pleasant/interesting. Homme Intense has a bit more of a fresher citrusy vibe to it.
More of a sweeter smelling cologne guy myself, le male, herold, Pegasus, Armani code absolu, stronger with you. not a fan of musk. A good woody scent is cedrat Boise by mancera tho

Parfum is not better, it hides the BDC scent under a some weird creamy smell. EDT is so light it seems like it can't project the scent. EDP lasts longer and projects the scent as it should.
What a specific woman likes may not be liked or works for a man. Especially if it's a saleswoman. Remember. Men's fragrances aren't being worn by women. They just have to smell it on men. And how many of them even care what a man is wearing?
Aventus isn't worth it since the reformulation that took out the real birch tar. So many frags with similar or identical notes that do it better now. GIT, spice & wood, and virgin island water I have never found anything like them that comes close. davidoff cool water is similar to GIT but lacks depth & tommy bahama st. Barts is KINDA similar to VIW but honestly just doesn't come close enough for me, that being said they are both good fragrances in their own rite

If it’s still too much for a given budget, buy an actually well made scent that’s its own thing instead of some meh clone.

I really don't see how explorer is a clone of creed aventus. I mean they have similar notes but I can get way more compliments off explorer than aventus
L‘Aventure is definitely not the best aventus clone. Terrible quality, no pinapple and cheap sweet citrus candy note in there that ruins it totally. Best aventus clones 100% explorer for quality smell bit different take and then CDNM for best longevity and closest drydown.

I find it depends on what you are going for. Valentino is a lot more powdery and while it’s good it can be a bit generic of the iris fragrances. Dior is waxy lipsticky and gentleman is more masculine compared the others I find them a bit feminine leaning but still great dior just really well blended it’s hard not to like it so that one is always recommended
Depends on what you like; Valentino is a more powdery darker, Dior is a more lipstick iris cocoa, gentlemen is more woody iris(the most masculine out of the three). Even though it smells nice, I personally find Dior homme intense a bit feminine, my personal favorite is the Valentino out of the three, they all smell good though so sample!

Dior Homme Intense forever. I have a 150ml bottle of the 2013 formulation and it's the greatest mid tier designer fragrance ever.
