Great to finally hear a full interview with Paul he's been so quiet over the years never got to know much about him. So glad I got to see him compete at the 93 Olympia. He was such a freak! If you could have put Dorian Yates back on him, he would have been Mr. Olympia for 10 years.
Used to train beside PAUL at Winston’s gym in Montreal for years great guy very quiet so humble when i used to train with him very strong on Presse behind neck, Winston Roberts helped him go to United States Miss Winston Roberts passed away 2017 would see him every day, always a nice thing to say.
The thing that surprises me seeing a lot of these interviews with guys who dropped the mass, is that their structural shoulder width isn't all that wide. Most of the visible width really was muscle.
Paul has pretty wide clavicles, but he has drooping shoulders, like Arnold, so when those gigantic cannonballs are not there he doesn't seem very wide. But on gear he was the widest guy around.
Fantastic interview, Psul is a genuine great guy with a lot of crazy interesting stories and wisdom. A truly amazing bodybuilder of his era and a legend in the history of bodybuilding. Not a bad word to say about anyone, just goes to show the down to earth character of the man. A highly entertaining and informative interview. Much appreciated 👍🏽
Him and andrew lee priest living in a apartment together inje ting eavhother and hitting the gym 2x a dam eating massive amounts of food ...BEST DAYS OF BODYBUILDING EVER
Dillett was the freakiest bodybuilder for sure. Even freakier than Coleman and Yates because he had such a narrow waist. If he had Dorian's or Coleman's back he would have won 10 Olympias in a row. But like he said, nobody's perfect.
I am happy he is now how he looks, almost like a normal people. He very probably knows bodybuilding at such a high level with insane physique was not something you could even TRY to sustain you whole life. Many have died even before turning their thought into thinking this. Happy he is still alive despite all the gear he must have taken throughout the years. Legend
This is a good and revealing interview of Mr. Paul Dillett. Could be he will make another impression on the fashion and fitness world. For any human being...to just stand nearly naked...in a pose such the Crucifix...and look like the replacement figure for the DaVinci model of man...Mastodon level. Mr. Paul Dillett was it.
Robby Robinson's a great bodybuilder. I've heard he's a good guy from a few people that got to know him, but they also said he's to himself, can be kind of guarded etc. I've heard varying opinions on Joe Weider, one that seems to be pretty universal is that he's a businessman who's presented many bodybuilders of all hues with opportunity as well as advice. If you don't capitalize on it when the iron's hot, who's fault is that? R.R. isn't the most outgoing or articulate guy in the world and he got a LOT of Weider magazine coverage in the 70s. I've still got them. As far as blacks not getting as many magazine covers as white guys it's not out of prejudice, it's also a business decision also. Weider's gonna go with what's going to sell the most, and Frankly there were a fair amount of covers with black bodybuilders. I still have most the Weider magazines from the late 70s to late 80s too.
His arms were so big in person...I said I'm not being weird cN I touch your arm..his triceps were bigger than most pros biceps..he says 6 3 he looked 6.5 or more
Paul is from Canada, is his last name French or English, is there anyone who can tell me how to pronounce his last name, with an accent at first "I" or the second syllable "e" - DillEtt? and is the last sound of "tt" pronounced or not?
How does he know bodybuilding isnt as popular today than in his era ? does he go on tour with todays bodybuilders to see how much guest posing they do ? i would say its more popular today with the advent of the internet .
The host knows nothing about bodybuilding not the history of the sport. It makes me sad that he doesn’t do research with respect or regards for the sport.
Paul have no big regrets, and he's right about too many Olympia titles in this area. If he put in the work like the other Mr Olympias, he would have won! He used his massive size to overwhelm the other guys, which made him lazy going to the gym like he should 😮 bottomline#
Another pro who truly was not passionate about bodybuilding AND/OR had no clue how to train without drugs. Look at him now physique-wise!! What physique? Looks like some skinny dude.
Paul Dillett had the biggest arms (by size) in professional bodybuilding by a substantial margin....I'll never forget when he made Shawn Ray and Kevin Levrone look like little babies. This guy had arms that literally looked bigger than his own thighs!...
Wow I’ve never seen him do a full interview like this
The word "freak" gets thrown around a lot, but here's a guy who was a TRUE FREAK. Loved his physique.
uncrowned if you ask me, he should have placed alot higher than he did at the olympia
Great to finally hear a full interview with Paul he's been so quiet over the years never got to know much about him. So glad I got to see him compete at the 93 Olympia. He was such a freak! If you could have put Dorian Yates back on him, he would have been Mr. Olympia for 10 years.
And if Paul could’ve held his poses better too 😎👍🏻💯
Now This is What i Call an EXCLUSIVE. The guy was a Freak back in 90s.
He was behemoth 💪
Did you come here from heavy muscle radio? I saw you in live chat
Paul’s the only guy to give everyone props ever

The very last massive guy with the small waist. Props to sir Dillet 💪
Nice to see you Paul and nice to see you’re doing well, you always were a great guy.

Awesome interview Vlad. What a legend is Paul Dillett. He truely made his mark on the sport and showcased symmetry at another level.
Dillet was a freak of nature.

Much appreciated 👍🏽
I love this era. Find Aaron Baker and interview him. I remember one of the battle of olympia where he was staring at the ceiling triping out
Paul is a great guy great bodybuilder very humble . True legend
Him and andrew lee priest living in a apartment together inje ting eavhother and hitting the gym 2x a dam eating massive amounts of food ...BEST DAYS OF BODYBUILDING EVER
About time!
By far one of my top 3 favorite freaky physiques
When "Freak-enstein" talks about bodybuilding people need to listen. Best bodybuilder to never win the Olympia...period.
From the front unfortunately his back wasn’t up to par
Along with markus ruhl
Dillett was the freakiest bodybuilder for sure. Even freakier than Coleman and Yates because he had such a narrow waist. If he had Dorian's or Coleman's back he would have won 10 Olympias in a row. But like he said, nobody's perfect.
FACTS
Jurrasic Paul!
Awesome guy, and most definitely a freak of nature. To bad he never won an Olympia. He deserve one.
My favorite bodybuilder of all time
Not everything revolves around "instant muscles" Generation Iron and Ron Harris MD top interviews .
Paul Is cool. Brings up great points of all the legends
He was one of the freaks in the 90er
I am happy he is now how he looks, almost like a normal people. Rocky Johnson was also a Canadian. I remember him a Tony Atlas back when I was a kid. Now I'm 58 years old.
One of the freakiest bodies on the planet

Used to see him at golds....looked like a monster
Big shame this sound and pic quality in 2021. This guy is a legend…deserve much better interview …
Hey Paul. back in the day at Winstons Gym on Victoria and Jean Talon.

The interview would have been better if the audio was better
This interviewer needs a heartbeat.
It's more like an interrogation
Damn he looks so different
His arms were so big in person...I said I'm not being weird cN I touch your arm..his triceps were bigger than most pros biceps..he says 6 3 he looked 6.5 or more
Biggest ever
put Paul in this era he would at least be top 3 every year he may even win the O
Жаль что без перевода на Русский. Но лайк поставил. Спасибо за это интервью с Легендой билдинга.
Jurassic Paul 💪🏼😎👌🏽🚬💨
Are you talking about the Y on Westbury?
Paul is from Canada, is his last name French or English,
is there anyone who can tell me how to pronounce his last name,
with an accent at first "I" or the second syllable "e" - DillEtt? and is the last sound of "tt" pronounced or not?
I think it's Dill-ett
His dad was a white french, mother black jamaican. He's mixed and half european.
Forgot to mention that he nearly killed himself on Diuretics hence why he quit bodybuilding
23inch arms + 28inch waist 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

1st one here
Иниересно о чем он говорит?
I knew i subbed this channel for some reason even with all the garbage it puts out.
Am i the only one who thought Paul Dillet died??
Paul have no big regrets, and he's right about too many Olympia titles in this area. If he put in the work like the other Mr Olympias, he would have won! He used his massive size to overwhelm the other guys, which made him lazy going to the gym like he should 😮 bottomline#
There's some nuggets in here and some outright BS. Or I should say disagreements. Especially the past where he speaks about free weights & machines
He was a true roid warrior.

Who the fuck cares about 315.
