- Large dam removal in the reclamation channel. The water level was almost 2 meters higher than it should be. The ICE was 2 centimeters of thickness. Now the level of the water is ok.

This dam would have been a beast to take down no matter what the weather. The fact that you were out there in below freezing temps and got as much done as you did has earned you even more of my respect. Hi! I just started watching this video and when I saw all those trees and you talking of using a hand saw…well, I’d like to suggest you invest in a battery powered mini chainsaw 😉! I’m the 70 year old widow and I bought one to prune around my yard. Let me tell you: it’s WONDERFUL! It easily cuts through branches 6cm thick! (I had to look up your metric number haha!) They only cost about $50-$60 USD for outfits that include the battery and charger 😉! Mine came with a hard case, extra chain and safety goggles! I’m sure you would find it very useful and worth the investment. I hope this is helpful 😉👍! Now to the video. I always hit like before I start because I KNOW I will 👏👏👍👍❤

I played "Pick up Sticks" as a child; my son plays "Jenga" (similar games). Intent: to dismantle a pile without disturbing the rest of the pieces. Yours is a more useful version but intends to remove the pile.
That removal will make a huge difference after winter when the snow melts. Awesome dedication to your channel Kenislovas.

Wow snow. Something that I don't miss. I don't like the cold weather. We don't have much snow here in south Louisiana, about once every six or seven years. I used to live way up north in upstate New York where we got -10F with snow so deep they measured it in feet.
We have many of snow now :)
Random thought . I'm so glad you're not one of those other channels that plays music over there videos! Hopefully you can do some removals in the winter. You should get a better hand saw like a silky. heated socks and such really help when I river fish in the winter.

That dam is a grandfathered dam. It was built by beavers that have done more than a few in their life. Nice work. Time now to relax.

I salute your dedication to open beaver dams during the winter. It's too cold to make a wide cut, find a small leak and work to make it wider and deeper. The lower the water level the harder it is to rebuild the dam because of the low water levels the beaver might not surive the winter. The more material removed from the bottom and front of the dam, before releasing the water will give a more dramatic collapse.

I was in Alaska a few years ago and watched a beaver building a Dam and I stayed at the camp site another day to watch his progress
There are more simple way. Just put camera there :)

They will try to rebuild or will migrate to other place :)
