As an American i friggin love British comedy!! And this show is one of the nest shows ever made!! (Not just British) it is so underrated and it needed more than two seasons!!
Fortunately Ricky and Stephen know when it's the right time to pull the plug (as Cleese did with Fawlty Towers) for me, the greatest comedy of them all.
I've been to several "Star Wars Celebration" events with Warwick and he always does a great job in his interviews. He does a show on stage called "Small Talk" where he interviews various actors from the franchise. He gets to the stage on his custom-sized Segway and it always makes me smile. Last one I went to he did something like 100 selfies with audience members in a row, in less than a minute. It was hilarious.
I hope Ricky, Steve and Karl get back together for a project. No writing crew has made me me laugh and cry more than these geniuses have over the years.
The bit with the (good) washing machine being tossed into the river had me absolutely in stitches, especially with Warwick getting so steaming mad at his secretary and tripping on the way out (which seemed un-scripted).
I seriously think this and extras are two of the best comedies ever. Both are very similar, only two seasons with a plethora of famous people playing fantastical versions of themselves. Too funny
Warwick is amazing - he's done a quiz show in the UK, and his quality shone through - give him more exposure please and it'll massively improve British TV.
Watching these interviews, I think you can tell Ricky and Steve's partnership was on its last legs around this time. Steve seems very withdrawn and, dare I say, unhappy. Understandable, as at this point, he'd been in Ricky's shadow for well over a decade, and being a talented writer and actor himself, that must've got to him.
The part where Warwick gives up his last shred of dignity and pride and simply asks Ricky to give him £5000 as an act of charity for him to live off broke my heart!
"If he succeeded it wouldn't be funny." -The quintessence of British comedy. Which is why Ameriker, and the Yoo-kye-e are so culturally divided. We view the UK in the way you view Aussies. As if you have a cruel sense of humour, but it's a misunderstanding at its core.
American comedy is a book of clichés. The nerd always gets the girl, and everyone lives happily ever after. That's not even close to being realistic, but Americans can't handle losing. I could write an American comedy in about 2 hours, and it would be no different to what the top writers have produced. Our humour requires a lot more intelligence and has to be different from anything else that's been made.
I want to be a dwarf! In this day and age, is it possible, I'm 70 and 6ft 4in tall, living in Australia 🇦🇺, never liked my height, can I get a government sponsored operation???? 😊
@@molitovv yep you certainly are ! It’s a Classic and if you do like Gervais I can’t understand why you wouldn’t like this and I’d argue it’s his best work to date

And we British love American comedy, that show with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is hilarious. FUCK PEDO JOE.
Make sure yiu've seen the Christmas Special!
It's Islamic British comedy.
I watch the Ricky Gervais show on Frankensteins Lab. 2 black Americans that laugh their ass off watching it. It's brilliant.

Such a great series. I was praying for another season. I don’t understand how it didn’t get made.
I do, these guys don't try milking the shit out of every idea, they leave the viewer wishing there was more.
@@lucylouise4922 What about David Brent, Life on the Road?
Because it was funnier than The Office. It definitely deserved a second series.
@@Dog0nWheelsthat was absolutely terrible

I love how Steve Carell was not only still listening, he stayed in the same exact spot for 15 seconds
Ricky has a cool way of making actors recognize how funny they are. Laughing on set, pointing out very specific things.
Warwick is amazing at physical comedy - which we don't see much anymore. I love Warwick. What a wonderful guy! Plus he's such a cutie!!
Life’s Too Short. A masterpiece.

Warwick's PA is beautiful.

In a weird way, yes!
Yes, she is gorgeous. And seems like a real and genuine sweetheart.
Sales and marketinggggggggg
Cringe

The scene with Liam Neeson is the best scene in the whole series. I laughed out loud, when i was sat in a room alone. Ive never done that before

Warwick is the best visual comedian since Peter Sellers. Genius.

Johnny Depp's laugh at the camera is hilarious 😂

American humour is generally just not funny. Failure is funny. Success is not

My favourite Gervais/Merchant creation, not the cleverest but there is something intrinsically funny about a little fella falling over.

I don't agree with Ricky in many of his view points, but he is brilliant in comedy.

Strange that Warwick has bigger hands than Ricky.
It flopped because it was lazy. It stole gags from The Office and Extras, and Warwick's height was literally the catalyst of most of the jokes.
Something about seeing Liam Neeson corpse just makes me happy.
