- There is major blowback from a Politico article about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' wife. Within the article, Donald Trump operative Roger Stone compares Casey DeSantis to Lady Macbeth. Republican strategist John Thomas says Florida's governor wouldn't be where he is without her. Casey was working as a TV anchor and reporter when she married DeSantis in 2009 at Disney World. Inside Edition's Steven Fabian has more.

As a theatre major, the insult to be called Lady Macbeth is such a DOUBLE insult because it’s saying she’s callous, mean, and scheming, but it also says that Ron DeSantis is just a coward who follows his wife’s rules like an emotional filled puppet.

Watched her talk in Iowa, I think. She’s using the same stories at every stop, but not every town reacts in the same way. And she refers to her husband as ‘the Governor’ repeatedly. I thought that sounded a little weird and so did those who turned out. I have no memory of the wife of a candidate going with him and talking at every stop. It makes it look like she doesn’t trust him to say or do the right thing. And he seems irritated at her while she’s trying so hard to get a response. Seems like another situation where their state loves them, but the country doesn’t.
Part of the opening ad for his run (he’s been running long before he announced) was done by his wife. She did part of it copying one of President Trumps ad. And now the Melania jacket seems like she wants to be Melania. They aren’t ready for what they’ve signed up for imo. He should have stayed in FL and fulfilled his responsibilities as ’the Governor’ and run in 2028. Some have said he has social anxiety and that’s why she’s always with him. Social anxiety is not a good thing if you have to deal with major world players. IMO
