- Kelly Clarkson has made a startling revelation. She admitted to being on a weight loss drug while speaking with Whoopi Goldberg during Goldberg’s appearance on her talk show. The 42-year-old mom says she was initially scared to go on the weight loss drug. “My doctor chased me for two years and I'm like no, I already have thyroid problems, I was afraid,” the singer says. Her acknowledgment is raising eyebrows after she previously credited diet and exercise for her new figure.

It's not magic. It's medical science. They only work with diet and exercise. So basically like for every one pound they lose, they'll lose 3 or 4 pounds in conjunction with this.
Exercise and diet is no longer an option.
It's the only option. Weight loss drugs aren't magic. They only work in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise.

I thought she said it wasn't ozempic. She also said something about her blood work not being good. Maybe she just didn't want to announce she's diabetic type 2, we'll never know.
But it can be used to help people lose weight as well
I have diabetes, and I tried to take it for that. Unfortunately, it gave me pancreatitis. This is not a safe drug. It does have side effects.

As a personal trainer for the last 35 years, NOTHING replaces nutrition and exercise. Cannot wait to see the long term side effects in 10 years. I feel for those that wanted the quick and unhealthy choice

This is really sad. I've always struggled with my weight and with a little determination I lost 70 pounds via a reasonable diet and exercise. I've gained some of it back too and I'd still never take this drug. People want a miracle cure for weight loss but at what cost?
I'm in no way trying to criticize this drug, to be clear.

You have no idea if you’re overweight and have tried just about everything!! Depression, self-worth, the ridicule and more. I’m not on it, but I know the backlash of hate on overweight women.
You still have to eat right and exercise on these shots. They're not magic. They trick you into thinking you're full.

Gut issues for life is right. I have diabetes and I took it for that and I ended up getting pancreatitis so I went off immediately. This does have side effects. It’s not a miracle drug like people think.
it is literally amphetamines lmao. It's just a matter of time before the drug becomes illegal, when they start to see the long term side effects of it.
its been studied for past 20 years on more than 80,000 people and its in market from 2017(ozempic) and 2013 for the old daily version(its safe for vast majority of people)

I don’t knock people for taking it but it’s still a good choice to diet and exercise. Also, some these celebrities were already thin so now they jus look ill. Sharon Osborne looked better before she started Ozempic. Not to be rude but it looks like she’s got cancer again she’s so thin. She didn’t need it to begin with. Having a lil weight is ok .

... She didn't lie. she just didn't disclose that she was on the drug. Pre-diabetic, body not breaking sugars down, prescribed a drug that does it for her. Look, she isn't out there pushing drugs for weight loss. I would say she is the exception, and the media has twisted her words. She was also bullied when she gained weight, so I'm not surprised that it happened when she lost it. However, she never lied she just disclosed she was.

It's not just a cure all, its only an aid. Kinda like a gastric sleeve. The medicine alone won't make you lose weight, you have to change your diet and activity level as well

I always figured that these "famous" people did not lose weight on their own. They took those weight loss shots and it worked. I am going to ask my doctor for it next month but I am a type two diabetic so I don't know if she will ok it. I need to lose about 50 lb. I am 5'7" too.
