#3dprinting #Fast3DPrinter #anycubic - Наука та технологія
Happy to see others praising the new Anycubic Workshop. I've had all kinds of issues with printing and got the new one pushed as an update a few weeks back and it was like night and day. Started enjoying and looking forward to resin printing.
Very surprised at how well it works now. It was not great by any means previously and they’ve made some great updates to it
Printed approximately 3.000 layers @0.05 recently on my Mono X. Took me 10 hours 😅 Still, would be even nicer to see a breakthrough in resins like:“If you don’t like the color, you can just drink it, it’s harmless and smells like strawberries“ 😂
🍰🍓 resin cake 😂🤣
@@UncleJessy Hey, Uncle Jessy, did you notice, "GridGate" at 4:11 ? WTF?
And that cleaning feature, Nova3D printers have a pop-up at the end of every print asking if you want to clean the FEP.
Thanks for the pretty extensive review, very useful.
just worth noting,, the differences between 0.1 and 0.05 are hard to notice on a model without paint, but as soon as you start either drybrushing or zenithal highlighting with an airbrush, then the difference does become incredibly noticable Jessy!
Thats perfect for printing bases for statues and some simple objects i would really love the speed of this printer. When you want quality she does it too, just put some normal resin and 0.05 or 0.03 and it will look amazing with a 12k screen. I just bought a trash Saturn 8k i wish i knew this before. Really bad that Saturn 8k and the prints are not that good like expected.
What about when investment casting?
i spray my prints with the grey auto primer it fills and drys super fast
@@andrewoffermann1905 what is auto primer?
Just wanted to say Jessy great video and placed my order for this printer today cant wait to try it out. Thanks for the heads up on this amazing sale, it was just something I could not pass up, keep up the great work!
Any cubic is really improving their products by leaps and bounds.
The covers have some static charge on them from the film it shipped in. When the bed rises after a print ends, the dripping resin gets pulled out onto the cover by that charge.
Get some antistatic wipes and hit the inside of every new resin printer cover.
I use Endust for Electronics Multi Surface Cleaner anti-static wipes.
those prints are gorgeous, thanks for the review Jessy!
Would love to know how well it works with regular resins.
No faster than any other printer. The limiting factor is the viscosity of the resin.
What an amazing printer! I have the Mono 4k Anycubic printer and as much as I love it and have printed heaps off it. Printing off 100mm of prints in an hour with this is great! I will be getting this printer when its released :)
So great to see resin printers evolving so fast! Can't wait to see Elegoos response to this!
Saturn 3 12K pre-orders June 2nd I think

disappointing, no auto leveling function.
Man! I’m hyped for this!!
I'm glad I've held off on investing in a resin printer, because the auto-leveling, resin level check, and speed of this are really exciting. And that's a killer price for what you get, it seems. Very excited.
That's a great price for a 12k printer. I think I'll wait for Elegoo's version. I've had such a great experience with them for a while now.
Printing figurines with this machine is like buying a top end gaming PC and using it to play Tetris
This blew my mind.
This is exciting! Waiting for the new Elegoo before I make a choice. However, I feel that features are finally to a place where I will start caring about longevity instead of just upgrading regularly.
I love my FDM printers. Though, your resin printer content, has made me decide to get a couple resin printers.
If you like to print miniatures, you won't regret with resin printer. especially 12k.
Hi Uncle Jessy! Thanks for the video! I love your channel and how you show the products and experiments, they're very informative :D.
I'm really curious about this new 3d printer and its printing speed and I was wondering if you've tried printing with another resin that's not the new High Speed Resin from Anycubic and how long does it take to print. Because all videos I see about the M5S are using that resin and I'm not sure if the printer is that fast or if it's because of the resin.
Would love to see a video of this machine printing with other brands like Siraya Tech Fast or Anycubic ABS+ and see how fast it is with layers of 0,050. Thanks again!
Ordered! thanks Jesse
hello there Uncle Jessy,
how precise is this printer when it comes to minis? most reviews i saw don't really talk about it or say it isn't very precise. they also talk about the exposure problems.
will you do a video adressing all of this ? (at this point I really don't know if i should keep the preorder or buy a saturn 3 ultra cuz I bought this printer for minis)
Very Cool! Do you know where I can find more info on the High Speed Resin? Curious about it's heat resistance.
Love your videos thanks for all your hard work creating content. Will this print phrozen nylon green. Also how big in inches is the build volume
good to see review on this device!
Nice hair btw, looks like 3d printed 12K!
Glad I got my Saturn 8k on Amazon last week. No questions asked return for this thing has to happen😂
If I had a few hundred dollars more, I would have loved to jump on that early bird price. I already invested in the Elegoo Mars 3 last month, so wah! For me. Looks like this is an amazing printer. Thanks for telling us about it, Uncle Jessy!
@uncleJessy I know Elegoo must have sent you the Saturn 3 already. When will the video be out? I want to pre-order, but I want to make sure I order the right one.
Why they don't install the screen protector directly in the factory?
waiting for this to start shipping to Australia, be great to get a faster machine upgrade from my mono x
Amazing video!! Do you recommend this model to someone who is new in the world of 3d printer?
Deciding between this and the Elegoo saturn 3 12k ultra. The quality does seem higher on the Saturn but what is your opinion?
Can you tell us all about the high-speed resin? How brittle is it?
I'd love to see the new fep sheet and resin on other printers, like a mars 3, how big of a difference would it make?
The screenprotector could be pre installed ... other manufactors deliver it so. Other wise great printer. Autoleveling seems to hop over from fdm printing
If you have issues to remove your prints from your build plate try hot water on the build plate. The warm plate will release the resin print with a single push of your spatula.
Any chance for a comparison between this one and the elegoo 12k printer?
How does the printer go with other resins- the normal anycubic stuff, elegoo , sunlu, etc?
That auto level is a game changer!
A game changer? Perhaps for another printers, but for Anycubic it is absolutely not I think... I print minis for a year with a photon mono 4k and I never had to redo the leveling...4 screws well blocked and that's it, the build plate don't move anymore! I would prefer a better build volume instead of this useless feature
surprisingly reasonable price considering the insane resolution
Fun and professional
Two questions: What did you have to do to get access to the M5s settings in Photon Workshop and where/how do you get the anycubic lizard that seems to be their mascot?
Hi, great video, how does it compare to the Elegoo Saturn 2, I´m running a print farm, should I consider this printer to buy next instead than more Saturns?
Curious how this is gonna compare to the new Saturn 3 and 3 ultra that elegoo just announced
@Uncle Jessy Hi thank you for this video! I have a question regarding tolerances. I know that resin printers are working with microns but when the 3D Printed part is cured and hardened does it still have the same accuracy? Will it not shrink? Thank you for your feedback
Looks like this printer has some features that all printers to benefit from. I didn't find any info on their site, can you hazard a guess what the FEP film is made from, it looks different. Also, it looks like the vat is slightly elevated so the FEP can get some air under it when the build plate pulls up. If this is the case is this something that other printers would benefit from? I have a Forge and anything I can do to it to decrease the FEP stickiness would be awesome.
wow, impressive printer. I like the upgraded display screen on it. I have the mono X 4k and the touch display screen is too small in my opinion.
This looks amazing, I've already got the Mono X but have internally justified getting another resin printer due to its quality of life improvements. Taking my total (fdm+resin) to 9, that should be enough... for now.
Does the High Speed Resin have any effect on the model's durability with it being so much thinner? Would the time saved be worth the trade for something like minis or terrain for DnD/tabletop games that get handled but not constantly moved around or is ABS-Like still the way to go in your opinion?
Important question, I’m also curious if this High speed resin are Way too brittle for DnD minis?
Wow, that's incredibly fast! And the auto-leveling is an amazing feature, especially for beginners. Even at the standard of 0.05mm it's blazing fast compared to most printers. Does the slicer auto-set settings such as lift speed and retract speed? The live shots make it seem like it lifts and retracts extremely fast compared to other printers.
thank you
9:25 - It could be the same issue early units of the Saturn 2 had, where it would always lift the build plate to a fairly high minimum point after printing, causing resin to drip down from short prints and splash around the inside of the enclosure. If that's the case, it could be fixed with a firmware update.
You would think they learned from the M3 that had the same issue
This looks pretty interesting. I've done tons of FDM but never resin printing and I've been looking for a resin printer to get started with. To be honest though the paper bed level technique has been a bit of a turn off. Knowing how offsets are set in the CNC world, it's kind of shocking to see 3D printers still using paper for bed leveling. We have AI that can write decent skeleton code, but we're still using highly subjective paper bed leveling with 3D printers? Pretty sad. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing a review of the production unit!
@UncleJessy - Could you please do a comparison between the Photon Mono M5s, Sonic Mini 8k & Sonic Mini 8Ks would love to hear your views on the same.
How does the leveling mechanism work? It looks like the screen is on springs? What holds the screen in position after the leveling?
I have always wondered if I used one of these printers to make the robot hand for the 3d printable inmoov robot. Just wonder if would be durable or a waste of time and money.
Is resin better than abs? I want to avoid the cleanup of abs but want the resin print to be strong and have flexibility. What's the best choice?
I just got the printer and it great. But one thing I have not had any luck with is the Wifi/Cloud function. Have you tried to set that up yet?
I am curious how the printer works with older forms of resin like AnyCubic Standard or ABS Like, etc. Have you considered doing a comparison video?
70mm per hour instead of 100... thats what the slicer shows.
@@Ghost_in_the_machineworks that's cool and everything but I have eight bottles of 4k resin. I am curious about the quality and speed with non-12k resins.
Just got mine 2 days ago, I also got the Wash and Cure MAX with it. I have a question how long after printing can you wait to Wash and Cure or do you need to do it immediately?
The resin level detection is probably done with a pressure sensor, and the weight of the bed with resin is calculated from that and Anycubic probably has a ton of data on how much each millimeter of depth for resin weights. File says it needs X amount of hours and takes up X amount of volume? The Anycubic does some calculations, figures out how much weight that volume is in resin, compares that to the weight measurement from the pressure sensor, and says "Hey, you might want to add more resin before starting this, or you can ignore it."
I’m a bit concerned anycubic hasn’t released I for on how much replacement screens will cost. That could be a nightmare with it being 12k. Also, what file type is it using and is it useable with chitubox and lychee?
This printer seems cool but I really wish more manufacturers would start implementing new quality of life features like resin heaters. I'd rather have a printer that runs well in cold environments than a printer that does 12k and has to be kept in a temperature controlled room all the time.
Agreed, I need a printer that determines exposure times for me more than I need more resolution
ChituSystems sells a universal resin heater
I anticipate this would be even more temperature sensitive. Warm resin runny, cold resin thick
This looks so good. I think the biggest competitor to this might be the athena 8k(possibility of 12k)
Man this has me really interested. The rate of improvements though has me really iffy about upgrading now or waiting. That said I think I might wait and see the Saturn 3 features first as well. I wonder if they will release info about theirs early. I almost want a DLP printer that has similar resolution most of them are like 50 micros vs the 20 that this is capable of. That is really what I am waiting on is a sub 500 DLP with 25 micro on better resolution.
Yeah it seems like the jump from 4k to 8k happened less than a year ago and here we are looking at 12k. You're talking about vertical resolution and I'm talking about horizontal resolution, but the fact remains 🙂
It’s good seeing the fast evolution of lcds printers, but instead of thinking to make the next model just after launching one, they should fix the bugs and such…
This is awesome but I'm torn between pre ordering this one or waiting for the New Elegoo Saturn 3 ultra 12k 🥴
OK, now i'm curious; Is plate leveling actually a thing with larger format resin printers? I've had a Photon Mono (not the X, the smaller one) for about two years now and I've leveled the plate a grand total of four times, each one after a FEP change (and I'm not even sure thos were necessary either). It prints like a dream every single time and the only failures I've had were due to improperly supported files, models with artifacts I didn't catch during slicing and one where I forgot to put enough resin in the vat. Is it just the larger printers that have issues with leveling, or am I just very lucky here? Because I'm definitely starting to look at larger format printers here...
Does this printer use a Air Filter as I cant see where one would be fitted and its not been mentioned is the Airpure filters can be used with this?
Hi jessy I want to buy a printer but I'm undecided between this anycubic MS5 I choose Saturn 3 which you recommend thanks
Is the high speed resin comparable to any 8k resin in terms of quality? What about durability? My biggest concerns.
Awesome printer but don’t want to be locked in to one resin. Any idea how much High Speed will cost? I assume only their resin would achieve those speeds?
"KINDA AMAZING" LMFAO THIS GUY
Can you do a review of AnyCubic’s High clear? I am trying get into resin printing for my small business and I just don’t know exactly what resin to buy for headlight lenses
I just bought this but I have some confusion about the settings. In your video for 0.05 and 0.1 your slicer default is 1.4 sec but on my photon slicer is 1.7. Did you changed?
Also to print from 0.05 and 0.1 you just change the layer height? Not exposition or other?
And last think. The advance mode if you activate I saw slow down the print time , almost double. What the benefit? And the intelligence mode also why I can’t use for every profile?
How durable is the New resin? I haven’t seen anyone mention that.
I’m afraid it’s very brittle and not suited for miniatures for games. Maybe only for display 🤷🏻♂️.
When no one tests this or mentions it…maybe it’s an issue
Exciting, how expensive will the high speed film be? The printer might be fast and accurate but it still looks budget 😢
How antyaliasing works on this printer?
So does the 12k release now depreciate value of all lower resolution printers?
I would love to see a durability comparison on this high speed resin.
ye, coz all non abslike resin is like glass.
The higher the detail the softer the resin needed usually
I recently bought a mars 3 pro and while its no slouch I feel like I bought a new printer too soon as this looks like leaps and bounds ahead!
that's the issue with buying printers right now, whatever you buy will be outdated and inferior pretty quick, including this model.
i like my sunlu abs like resin can i use that with this printer? cuz i have this printer on the way now in the mail
How is the quality of the printer, if you dont set it to print as fast? can you still get really nice quality if you slow down the print just a bit?
hi there thanks for the video.i bought a m5s but there is a problem that freak me out.after awhile of printing it gives an error 1101 screen fault and printing fails.
can you help me with that??
Would anyone know if this latest version of "Anycubic Photon Workshop" will work with the Mono X as well? Or maybe the better question is: Will it work as well with the Mono X as it does with the new m5s? Is there even a profile for the Mono X in this newest version?
ok, I have a question. Been FDM printing for a while, totally new to resin......
If i were to get the Mono M5s am i limited to buying the specialty anycubic speed resins? i guess speed is not the most important thing- this will be for my classroom (if I can find someone to pay for it lol) I just dont want to limit myself to using only one brand of resin? Does that make sense.
Any tests with the flex build plate?
The last anycubic I bought was the mono X, is AA a feature of the printer?
Interesting that the higher resolution on the XY plane seems to slow for a lower resolution on the Z axis.
Could you just use that resin on say the Saturn 2 and just bump up the print speeds?
I noticed one of the figures had some parts (horn and sword) broken off. I have limited resin printing experience but this reminds me of my brittle figures I printed once. Why does this happen?
That's an amazing technique! I'm impressed!😄
I would also like you to see the robots I made.😁
Any chance you review the Concepts3D Athena?
This, it seems so interesting but i am stil on the edge of pledging.
Checking that out tonigjt more and going to see if I can get ahold on them
@@UncleJessy Awesome... at this point of my resin journey, I am interested in the Rolls Royce of 3D printers and the features this thing is boasting seems pretty amazing and unheard of from other manufacturers.
Thank you for making a hobby that seemed so foreign to me at first, a new and fun experience that I have enjoyed over the last year!
This printer looks pretty neat and is a candidate for my next machine. I just don't understand why, if they can fit all the cool tech in them, that they can't put handles of some sort on the covers. Not just an Anycubic thing but Elegoo and the like as well.
Or why couldn't you just drill holes into the top of the cover and build a simple vertical lift system? Crank, lift handle, whatever. Even motorized if you like.
But, let's assume you want to keep the lid integrity intact. Then try this: build yourself a vertical lift system (aluminum, wood, whatever) and attach steel sheet to the bottom where it fits to the top of the lid. Then attach it to the lid using some rare earth magnets placed up inside the cover. Viola! She liftsa up justa fine, anda no witha no damages....
There you go. A lid-lift system which lifts the cover, but which keeps the cover pristine.
Let me know how that works out if you try it before I do. :D
Resin printing is way behind FDM printers in terms of "innovations." Resin out, autolevelling, and a protector for the badly-designed screen are all features that should have existed years ago. Not to be negative, but 12k is complete overkill, especially as the price of resin for high res resin is outrageous.
The speed is massively welcome, but I'd like a way to print without having to angle the prints.
Hello, I have a question about the auto level mechanism. Do you think you can make a flexplate (magnetic) to the buildplate? Or will that make it too thick and not work? Thanks and great review
Flexplates succckkkkkk, had them shift on me with large prints several times
Yeesh. I just purchased the Saturn 8K last month. It would be nice to upgrade the software and hardware on existing machines rather than going out and buying a brand new machine with the latest and greatest. That 12K has me kicking myself for not waiting.
How does this compare with the elegoo saturn 3 ultra?
Any takes on the Apex-Maker I've seen ads for?
How do we set up the printer to connect to our home WiFi so we can send a print via WiFi from our PC/Windows?
Did you try any none fast print resin to see if it made a difference?
How do you make your machines so messy so quick ? I'm honestly pretty impressed !
I guess when you dont pay for them you can be careless
hes also you know, trying to print quickly to get videos out to us?
Hahaha I know right? Good thing I usually leave the lids off most of the time
Not sure if this is a joke, take build plate off resin drips, FEP fails you get a leak, pouring resin in sometimes drip happens, taking vat off to replace fep lots of resin all over.
So many ways to get it messy.
The only videos I've seen with "clean" machines are people that have no clue what they are doing, are doing 1st ever print, or someone trying to sell you something. I laugh when I see people with spray bottles over massive tubs, I want to see them doing that with 300 figures in an hour, not to mention how messy and gross that is.
