Don't be afraid:-)I have also goiter every sixmonths check up and every one year Radiology general checkup , just take medicine 30 minutes before taking breakfast

My husband has desame he has thyroid also and still in medication it's so hard because sometimes his potassium going low and he can't walk. But with the help of the banana (SABA) it's really give him help so try it mommy just eat without cooking it's really help .

It’s better you under go for an operation.Its like the same as mine before, kasi pag Hindi ka inoperahan lalo Kag papayat nyan. At bawal ma stress pag May thyroid problems ka.For example yung sa akin yung bukul Mayron pang bukol sa loob na na kuha ,Nangpina biopsy cancerous pala yun,at Thanks God Hindi pa lumabas sa bukol at nag spread sa katawan ko.Pinainom lang ako ng radioactive pills something .And that was 12 years ago.Go for it Jodalyn.God bless!

You'll be fine.jodalyn. we are here to support and encourage you. You just need to choose a good doctor. Mine is hyperthyroidism and it became graves disease. My thyroid is dead. I took high dose of iodine to kill it. I don't want this procedure, but I have no choice because surgery here in the U.S. is expensive. God bless.
Hi Jodalyn i had a surgery with my thyroid as well back year 2000 same as your situation and im already totally ok,i think they need to have it biopsy first before your surgery,you dont need to worry the healing process after is not that long and you only stay at the hospital for at least 1-2 days after the surgery,you'll be fine👍👍👍

Don't be scared to go to the doctor Jodalyn,it's for your own good!Divine Word Hospital (St.Pauls Hospital) here in Tacloban City has many expert specialist here in your condition just find endocrinologist- Internal Medicine doctor like Dra. Sible.she is my doctor and she is nice and good doctor.
My first Jeepney ride was a trip! I was laughing the whole trip. I have a Jeep Wrangler and my wife loves it. I guess it reminds her of home.
Me, my sister and mother had our thyroid operation. It went well naman. And now my thyroid is normal but with maintenance. I can do whatever i want now and eat anything. Better to have it kasi baka lumala pa yan at magcause pa ng severe damage at magkaroon ng complication na kung kailan malala na tsaka pa lang magpa opera na minsan huli na. My cousin and few people I've known with thyroid problem lost their lives kasi dinideadma lang nila ang thyroid problem nila. Which in fact, thyroid plays one of a very important rule sa katawan natin. Just trust your doctor and trust God.

don’t be scared. just PRAY and ask the Lord’s guidance for the doctor during the operation. me too, i was also diagnosed of thyroid problem... like you, i was also scared... infact, it took 5 years for my doctor to convinced me to have my thyroid gland removed because i’m scared of blood, needle and everything. it’s more than a decade already since i had my thyroid gland surgery, and now i’m okay. although i’m taking my hormonal pill lifetime unlike before my hyperthyroidism problem wasn’t treated, like you, i loss a lot of weight and had frequently suffered a fever/fatigue and even hard time of sleeping during night. Just trust God and everything will be okay.
I forgot to mention, my thryoid was diagnosed of papillary adenocarcinoma. before the surgery my doctor had my neck biopsy every 6 months but then they didn’t see anything bad from the result not until after the surgery they found out that it was cancerous. had my RAI treatment after 2 months. the doctor said that there’s nothing to be worried about thyroid cancer because the thyroid is responsive to the treatment unlike other cancer. if i were you, listen to your doctor’s advice before it gets worst. the doctor won’t suggest for operation if dili ra siya necessary operahan. not all cases same as mine kay naa ray madala sa tambal. as i mentioned above... pray and trust to our Lord and everything will be okay. God bless Ms. J. and i knw God will listen to your prayers because you’re so kind to others. God bless to your family.
