You know you are in a Bengali household when they have 2 fridge 😂
Hahhaha
I also have 2 fridges 🤣
What is the reason for having 2 fridges, bro????
@@brijinderdogra3201 1 veg...aur dusra nonveg(fish, prawn)..simple 😀
@@debnathchapal simple? what's the need to have 2 separate fridge for these items? apart from some blind superstitions
bengali food is so nice, their food is really of top class out of indian variety grossly
I know a lot of people from other states who complain about this non-veg traditions of Bengali people during the Durga Puja. According to them everyone should refrain form eating meat and chicken during the pujas. The problem is for we, the Bengalese, Durga Puja is more of a social festival than a religious tradition and we like to enjoy it to the fullest. Regarding the non-veg tradition, it comes from the fact that Durga puja is the time when the Goddesses Durga maa comes down to visit her baper bari (father's house) with her children. So when the daughters visit their own home everyone celebrate to the best of their abilities. This is exactly what we Bengali people do. We enjoy the best four five days every year with the foods we like, dresses we want to wear and spend time with the people we love.
So true buddy
During Durga puja how,Bangla deshi extremists organise mass killing of Hindus.Din aar dure nei ,je din anio apnar tradition ujjyapon korar aage 100 baar bhabben.Ghumiye thaka bangalider oshonkhyo dhonyobad.

I am not a Bengali but I am proud of Bengal as Bengal continues to remain strong bastion of original Hindu nonveg eatery in every phase and occassions of life, which is otherwise hugely corrupted and discouraged in various other non-Bengali Hindu cultures
Thank you dada
I am not Bengali but love Bengali cuisine and rich culture and obviously Doi mangsho and Ilish, Betka fish ❤❤
❤
It's absolutely true that most of us Bengalis don't care much for any ritual that denies us from eating anything that our hearts desire... ❤️❤️❤️
Ate bangali food many a time in bangal. But jol machhli with vegetables & mas or chicken fried in an village of bangal is astounding.
Bengal only state where u get sweet water fish along witb Catch from the Sea Bay if Bengal known for Turbulent Tsunamis . Actually Hislas come from atlantic breeding in sweet water thus u have the taste
‘Kobji’ in Bengali word for the wrist, not elbow. The idea is one has to dive his/her wrist into the food. What Ananya Bannerjee meant is called ‘hata dubiye khawa’ meaning drown your elbows into food.
Shudhu kobji dubiye khan,Beshidin mone hochhe na nijeder tradition tikiye rakhte parben.Aaj jodi bangladeshi Hindu der Durga puja mananor jonyo ,mass killing hocchye.Kal ki hobe?
I am blessed to have seen & enjoyed festivities across the country but... spirit during Durga Pooja celebrated in WB is unmatched!
Pandal hopping is not something I get out for, but I do get out during Durga Pooja just to enjoy the atmosphere on the roads of Kolkata!
Every Indian from other states should visit, stay and enjoy festivities during Durga Pooja atleast once in his life time!
From which state you belong???
@@abantisarkar2055 Maharashtra!
@@firozsayyed4192 good to see someone who doesn't resides in West Bengal but have visited Kolkata or Bengal at Pooja. It is rare thing.
@@abantisarkar2055 My wife is a Bengali! Thanks to her I got to know WB!
i have beautiful childhood memories of durga puja. we lived in dadar & our neighbours were bengali chakraborthy. my family & them , we would all drive down to fort area & there was this huge maidan oval or azad maidan prob & all these pandals ornaments, colorful clothes, toys & of course loads of stalls selling bengali food. delicious bengali street food samosa, mutton rolls , puchka, cutlets & then sweets like cham cham & sandesh. it was a foodies paradise. then of course you had the main durga maa pandal & they would screen hindi & bengali movies from a projector. mummy picked up a pair of traditional ivory bangles worn by bengali ladies. mom is now deceased but i still have the ivory bangles. durga puja also coincides with navratri. can never forget playing dandiya ras in our building compound. such wonderful memories kunal. 🥰😁😁
btw you've covered the length & breadth of possibly every avialable food kunal except for my favourite dish SIZZLERS 😄😄😄any possibility of a sizzler episode soon. you are doing a great job kunal .keep it going. poochnaa padta hi hai ki Khane Mei Kya Hai 😁🥰
And she was so kind in serving u the feast. U can see the glow in her face when Sir was eating.
Who the heck is sir? Are the British still ruling us?
In Durga Pooja we eat non. Veg because more than treating maa Durga as goddess we treat her a member of our family who came for few days so wish to enjoy the moment the best way.🙏one more thing cholar dal & luchi was swami Vivekananda most Feb food that's why on his birthday till today in ramakrishna mission and his devotees offers him cholar dal & luchi as bhog.🙏
When you put that baked roshogollah in your mouth, I felt an explosion of taste 😁. Roshogollah, then malai, then Nolen Gur, and then baked....aaaaahhhhh
So If you want to eat non vegetarian during festival, go to a Bengali family house...loved it simply cooked food enjoyed with great joy of Durga Puja.... 👍
If the Bengalis celebrated Ganesh Utsav Kunal would even eat non veg during Ganpati 😂
It's rubbish .
How he can eat non veg during Durga Puja .
😡
@@jonnytheplumber5836 Why not? Devi does not mind.
You can cook in your own home and offer it as bhog to Ma Durga before eating like the Bengalis, Odias and Assamese do. God does not want you to be vegetarian. It is personal choice.
@@Achintyanath Really ??
Vah... great experience to have Bengali food cooked by Bengali Devi.
So apt to have a Bengali meal in this festive season.
Bengali cuisine is like no other and one of the most delicious too. The rustiness of mustard oil meets the melting sea-food to add its own unique charm.
I still remember my trips to Kolkata - especially to Bhajo Hari Manna and other places. Dab chingdi, kosher manghso, poshto, luchi and of course the paneer dishes. After Punjab, the best paneer is available in Bengal, as Chena is the main ingredient of most Bengali sweets. Remember having some great alu-kachodi also there.
Fresh-water / river / pond fish is so different in taste and in Bengal, its as fresh as it can get. Some old homes, in outskirts of Kolkata have their own ponds for fish so from catch to tummy its in a couple of hours sometimes.
Kunal rightly said - when the food is good the table is silent. Nilesh bhai - you must have double helping of that lovely Rosso-Gulla. The Nolen gurh would make it so delicious. Reminds me of the lovely nolen gur sandesh when the winter sets in.
Enjoyed. Thanks.
No true bengali says Rosso-Gulla or Nolen gurh or kosher manghso-you sir are not bengali.
@@nobnobrakras7760 then teach me how
@@nobnobrakras7760 Fish okay but chicken mutton beef bengali should avoid eating permanently. By the way chicken and kosha mangsho is bangal(Bangladeshi uzbek influence food) khana. Bengalis have no respect for god. Bengali are more like muslims than Hindus. By the way my daddy is bengali
The explanation about the Bengali Food is Absolutely Justified.....Yummy..
Too good. Didn't know about Bengali non-vegetarian food so much. But everything looked so yummy. Especially the egg coated with Kheema.
Shrimp,lobsters,crab, I just love it.....❤
WONDERFUL Bengali MEAL ON DURGA PUJA DAYS..
BENGALI FOODS are the MOST VERSATILE INDIAN CUISINE..
Coconut is tremendously used in bengali cooking, especially in vegetarian dishes.
Exactly. But if your focus is primarily on non vegetarian dishes, you would never know 😁
@@shomabhattacharya7515 Actually, what I heard from my mother-in-law, in earlier times people used coconut extensively in non-dishes also.
@@jhunupaul2381 it's used extensively in both preparations, even today. The quantity may vary but is used nevertheless.
Actually bengali s don't use coconut not much like Maharashtrian s that's why may be host tells that way. Bcoz in marathi cuisine u hardly find a dish be it veg or nonveg without coconut. Bengali s use coconut in specific dishes like malaikari & some veg dishes & in some dal. We don't ues it in our daily fish curry & not in all veg curry also. But marathi can't think a dish w/o cononut.
Sir you are the only who can make a die hard vegetarian enjoy watching videos of non vegetarian food! You are a delight!
I love to see you so engrossed in any cousin and have deep respect towards food and culture and, as usual, your favorite punch line at the end
Shonaar Bangla. Lovely treat.
Among Bengalis there are only two things - you either eat or you don't. If you are doing fast, then eat nothing absolutely, sometimes I see people won't even drink water. There is nothing in bengal like fasting by eating khichdi, fruits or pakodas.
Bengali sweets are the best and their fish river fish curries are yummy
The Way Kunal is eating and making our mouth water, please take us also with you to eat this yummy delicious food 😂😂😂
this 2 back to back seafood episodes is getting me as pure veg, mouth-watering for sea-food
Episode acted as an appetizer...just released before dinnner time...❤👍

Kunal sir I have seen many food vlogger, but you are legend. I like the way you eat so delicately.
Fantabulous ..as we Bengali’s say! You didn’t follow the sequence and that’s blasphemous, but “saat khoon maaf” because you looked genuinely enjoying and for sucking the juice off the prawn head!😍😋🍤🍤🍤
Prawns are prawns.. Thank you 🙏
Just awesome food full justice to bengali food u have done sirjee
How sweet... salute...✋✋✋✋✋🙏🙏🙏
We rise by lifting others. There is no harm in helping others. Great Vlog! Yummilicious food.
Love Indian food but never really tried Bengali cuisine other than the sweets. Now I have to try it, especially the fish and prawns. 🙂
🥰
Lovely Bengali food by your host Ananya Banerjee
Bangladesh and west Bangle
Two different country
Two different religion
Everything else is same.
Love&peace from Bangladesh 🇧🇩.
Firstly kunal was attired in to the situation and looking much younger and secondly your passion for food and total involvement to the Bengali delicacy was well presented, superb
Tasty episode... Hatts off to Ananya for making variety n delicious food... Loved watching a beautiful lady who made beautiful food...
I thought "Kobji" Was till the wrist not the elbow

Let kunal dada now have afternoon nap like a bengali . Rice has gone in stomach with kosha mutton 😉
Love to see kunalji while enjoying the food naturally.
They say *a thing of beauty is joy for ever" [Keats], as your eating histrionics are. And therefore, I enjoy both the virtual dishes and your talents on screen.

This video made my day ...
Lovely. I am feeling very hungry being a BENGALI guys 👦
Amazing Bengoli food..watching you eating sir, makes any food looks fabulous & tasty 😋
May b Ms Ananya is a good cook but she wrongly described the word "kabji dubiye khaowa"...in bengal kabji means the wrist of our hand & kabji dubiye khaowa means you submerged ur hand in the food upto ur wrist aka kabji take the food & eat it...but she mentioned that kabji as our elbow which is actually called kunui in bengali...
Even I noticed too ....🤷🏾♀️
Best part of this episode is Ananya's expressions while Kunal eats 🤣
Exactly ☺️😊😊
Very nice video 👌👌👌
Trust me Kunal, there is more to Bengali cuisine than the ubiquitous Luchi, chholar dal, chingri malai curry & kosha mangsho. These items have been popular since time immemorial, they sell well, therefore, have been done to death, by one and all. The episode was not only disappointing but also a huge let down considering how vast, vibrant, and colourful the canvas of bengali cuisine is. But all said and done...you rocked. As always 🙂
Yup!! Didi
There is always more to regional cuisine than a thali normally served.. ..
I know suggest some places where I can have explore more dishes and authentic bengali cuisine
@@KhaaneMeinKyaHai well I'm going to Calcutta club Oshiwara Today. So check your DM at late night. Bijoli grill in powai is the best and with great option for each type..

No words . Just waiting fr Navratras to end and cook fish.
To clear things to non bengalis a majority of bengalis eat veg only during Astami day and many even fast till the pushpanjali. There is no hard rule to fast or eat vegetarian dishes . Its our festival and we enjoy it to the fullest

This is not the full Bengali festive thali, this is actually mini festival thali,
JHALE ,JHOLE ,OMBOLE that is Bengali thali, matlab shak bhaja ,sukto to chatni, payesh, sandesh, rasagolla and paan etc. 😀
Kunal ji has done so much justice to the food
Graceful Bangoli Food
Cool 😎 I like the
Awesome, wish i get to eat with you someday!
It is sad for me as a Bengali that Nilesh couldn't experience dishes like 'Kosha Mangsho', 'Fish Kalia', 'Chingri Malaikari' (last one is a dish inspired by Malaysian cuisine. 'Malai' comes from 'Malay')
One correction: 'Kobji' means wrist, the phrase 'kobji dubiye khawa' means relishing a lot of food...😋
Really he gave justice to food
tempting
Starts with mutton ends with dal- the Bangladeshi way of meal
Ananya Bannerjee looks pretty and cooks delicious food.
