Artistry at its best. Who celebrates those uncelebrated creators of these wonderful mandaps. Drummers(dhaakis) leave their villages and come to cities to play. Hopefully these people return with some money for the rest of the year. And finally food n food everywhere. Happy durgapujo.

Arey Kunal Da...aap kaise bhikari logon ke yahan khaane chale gaye woh bhi durga pujo lunch ke liye..shosti r lunch in Ghoti Zamindar family is an Elahi Laffaire its like a grand opening of sorts.....lunch without begun, kumro ( pumpkin) aar ucche ( karelaa) bhajaa and only aloo bhaja is blasphemy of sorts...and mussor daal without peas and coconut crumbs is a strict no no during pujo days..no dhokaar dalnaa or chana ( hung curd) fulkopi diye torkaari for main course alongside basantibhog chaaler pulao😢😢....chaatni ke saath no papor!!.. kalkatte kaa naak kataa diyaa inn logon ne...only saving grace was the mishti thaali...not sure if they offered mishti paan later😢 anyways pls dont visit durga pujo lunch in kolkata before navami..thats the day we get a full 12 to 13 course menu served in bonedi barir pujo ....jokes apart this is a sad potrayal of the rich heritage of bengali niramish thaali !! This was more like a sraadh menu in kolkata 😅😅

What is Pujo it's Puja! and I heard a song Duga ailo, how lazy the singer is its Durga.
Don't impose your language to others. It is pujo in bengali.. and durga is often called dugga in poetic touch.
