Looks the same for 2012 Mazda 3 2.5 l, as well. Best video for this engine I’ve seen so far. Thank sir.
I'm getting my belt replaced in a few days. the car has 143,000 and still looks good.
Best Mazda6 belt replacement video, easily! Not perfect, but far better than the others I found on UA-cam.
Wanted to see the belt size
Nooo. You cut off the most important part!!?
Thank you!
What did you do at 2:35? Remove the rotor? It sure seemed to disappear. At 3:15 the belt suddenly goes completely slack. How did you do that? At 3:48 you suggest making a drawing of how the belt wraps around the pulleys. I would suggest you make the drawing before popping off the belt. At 7:35 you say you've shown us enough to change the serpentine belt. You didn't finish showing us that last crucial step of how the belt actually got on the pulley. I couldn't get my new belt to go on the pulley. No way. The tensioner wouldn't give enough slack.
This video is like a bad magic trick where the magician says, "you'll just have to trust me, there is no rabbit in this hat". And then he reaches in and pulls out the bunny. Ta-da! Wow! How'd he do that? I've worked on many cars for many years, and after about six hours of my Saturday, trying to save a few bucks, this is one of the very few times I had to admit defeat. Now I have to get it to the shop. Thanks. This video was boring and no help. My advice? Watch this video, suck it up, jump in your car and have a shop do it. While it's being worked on, treat yourself to lunch and have a pleasant day.
Would you like him to hold your hand? Or are you just that lacking in mechanical skills?
Exactly!!!
Agree. Done a lot of work on vehicles. But putting a new belt on this car was a f,,ing nightmare. Had to put old belt on after replacing tensioner. Think mazda belt size is a bit short. pk2290 too tight. Heard of others using pk2300.. Was waiting for the magic too! lol
Just so you know your camera positioning losses objectivity
Dayco part no. 5060908 or Duralast 908K6 serpentine belt.
for this car- just pay someone to do it. 100$. this looks like a pain in the ass.
hell yes. Trying to do my wifes now, and even with the tensioner fully pushed up (takes 1 guy to do that alone) the belt still won't go around all of the pulleys. I've had it so close 2 or 3 times but then it pops off. Truly an awful job that should take less than a half hour, but I've been at it over 3 hours now cussing and swearing the whole time.
Can you please give me the fan belt number for madza 6 2006 sport car
Don heñp. I don see the most important pard. Fut the belt back
Just cut the belt so you don’t have to torture yourself taking it out
I'm just here for the and stuff
