Desmond Fitzgerald was a truly remarkable fine quality gentleman who should never be forgotten. He should be honoured with the highest degree of acknowledgement and the utmost of respect throughout every corridor of Irish academia and Irish Society for his outstanding contributions to educate those thirsting to learn about Irish Georgian Antique Furniture. His book 'The Knight of Glin' is a superb fascinating reference book filled with colourful images of rare Irish antique Georgian furniture. The Knight of Glin is a masterpiece for anyone wanting to know about exquisite antique Irish Georgian furniture. His book is highly regarded and used by all prestigeous auction houses around the world. Not only does Desmond's book pay homage to the outstanding craftsmanship of Irish furniture makers it also references the discriminatory attitudes of British aristocrats towards those whom they percieved from within the Irish landed gentry as being 'semi uncivilsed,' a label which was profoundly inept and factually incorrect. Desmond's book lead me to the light, with the way forward to collect many great pieces of my own rare Irish Georgian furniture.
God bless you Desmond, may your name live on forevermore.

Interesting in that Lutyen's name misspelled half a dozen times in closed captioning! ... in first few moments!
