Some things are fun, but also sketchy and steep, gotta be there to get it I guess.
I actually really like the handrails there. They’re almost perfect slightly taller to practice for a street rail
why do all the skate parks in L.A/America have big metal gates around them? i dont think Australia has any that i can think of hahah

Yeah I am staring skating again after 20 years and there are no real beginner parks in Tucson. Also, there are so many parks that do not have grass around the park to stop all the pebbles , rocks and dirt getting all over the place wrecking you in seconds. If you are in the desert then you need a buffer to keep all the small garbage away from the flat surface to keep your knees in working condition and the skin left on them.
I grew up in an era and an area where parks were basically non-existent. You would think coming from that kind of disadvantage I would be more than happy to skate an imperfect park. The truth is there's nothing worse than rolling up to a place and then realizing how poorly thought out it is. When I first moved to Colorado, I was stoked on the sheer number of parks there were just in the Denver area, especially compared to where I grew up. After visiting most of them, 90% of what's here is more frustrating than enjoyable. Early 2k was filled with good intentions but terrible park designs.
This skatepark is in my city and I actually was told by some people that work for the city that they are in the works in building another small skatepark here and by the photos they showed us it looks like a fun park can’t wait for that to be built
I drove by a park the other day i saw in the works it was probably this, just looked like a bowl at the moment tho
ooh that one might be a whole different park this one I don't even think they've started yet because they were even asking us locals to choose their side obstacles. I heard of the new park called mariposa park which has only a bowl in it not sure if that's the one you saw.
i do believe the streets they told its being built on are bristol and tolliver

The skatepark definitely looks like it was either designed or built by someone who usually builds other stuff. I mean, it looks like they did a good job of building a bad skatepark. I'm a total amateur, but I see every critique your giving it. I hope people who build parks in smaller towns these days watch videos like this beforehand. Sure, a skater can make the most of it either way, but it's best to have a safe and user-friendly place for the community. This park is a puzzle with pieces that don't fit, so it looks like an incomplete picture. I feel like they could easily update it though (aside from that astronomical pyramid in the middle).
Good skaters always make the best out of a bad spot. You guys still ripped it up.

I bet my home town skatepark is one of the worst ever. Not even joking. There's a steep and chunked out pyramid in the middle. Two steep ass banks with a gap at the bottom cause it broke out, two ok manny pads ( best feature) and two tall ledges. All crammed in a tiny area with the shittiest run ups. This oark would be heaven back home.. lol
