"I Have Dreamed" from the soundtrack of The American President. (Scene: Sydney and Andy's dance at the dinner party in honor of the new President of France.)
"In my dreams I `ve loved you so that by now I think I know what it feels to be loved by you I have loved being loved by you. Oscar Hammerstein is my favorite lyricist. Thanks for sharing with Us. Lorraine
rossie01 - I agree. I listened to others, including the vocals. This blows them all away. It's those horns - soft. The arrangement flows so well. I want to get up and dance.
@robbtip At least you're honest. I do the same and I am very macho / retired military etc etc. This is a beautiful movie and Michael Douglas was 5 stars. Annette Benning was 5 stars also. They make a good chemistry on film.
Perhaps the most beautiful song of my lifetime.
My mom & dad use to dance to this in our living room. Still chokes me up.
From , The King & I ❤
Oh My God! I was born to hear this song
This is the best arrangement of this song of all that I have heard. My romantic side wants to dance with my special lady, fall in love all over again.
The piano and horns -beautiful arrangement.
The piano intro reminds me of my late Father. I just love it. if I marry again this will be my first dance... Thank you for sharing.
"It's Arthur Murry, six lessons....."
This fits the movie so well
Beautiful music. Love the movie, too.

Another gem PureDance! I love the dance sequence and then that fairytale night time glimpse of the White House always moves me to tears! Wonderful!!
That was the last year you could drive in front of the White House on Pennsylvania avenue l love that scene too..

The great Rogers and Hammerstein, Originally from the King & I.
I love this !!!!!
Don't we all,buddy
Finally,,,,,, love this song
Love the music.
It sounds like Beegie Adair playing the piano. She's one of very few certified Masters of the Steinway piano. Every one of her albums is 5-stars.
Meant to say my Dad was a brilliant pianist. Also try the Matt Monro version - outstanding
Just fabulous.
J'adore cette chanson... quant au film, il préfigurait la super série "the west wing"...
Just a lovely peace of music, The arraignment of the horns and the piano with the strings makes it all come together so nicely.
finally found this instrumental)) thanks
If you like this, try listening to Frank Sinatra sing it on his album 'the concert sinatra' from 1963. You'll be in tears!
This is such a great song, thank you for sharing
I wish I owned it, if you were ever able to send the file I would be so grateful.
