      @@V.E.R.O. 9/11 has nothing to do with it. SJW, Woke, BLM and cancel culture combined with social media has ruined our societies. Whoever screams the loudest now no matter how wrong they are gets to dictate what the rest of us has to think, get to say and how we should behave.

      @@eddiewinehosen6665 I think it did, at least for me. Things just weren't the same after that. All that you're describing didn't start till much later, I would say social media really took off after 2010 and cancel culture didn't start until 4 or 5 years ago. Although I do agree that it has contributed to the decline of society.

And by the time our political position, diplomatic currency and economic influence has been squandered by ineptitude and suspicious dealings, it will feel as though we fought a war and lost.

    • @Murchad99
      @Murchad99 6 років тому +4

      No, we know why Clinton lost. She's an unlikable Washington insider, she didn't do enough to acknowledge the rising discontent with regressive liberal tendencies, and a successful character assassination campaign was carried out from *cough* multiple sources both domestic and abroad, most of which ultimately turned out to be empty deliberately-fabricated conspiracy theories which the average oblivious credulous boob assumed was true. I despise Hillary Clinton, but let's be honest about why she lost... it had more to do with things like a late-breaking email investigation re-opening (ultimately a dud) and the fact that many people in this country won't vote for a woman than it had to do with her ability as a politician. The same people who ranted and raved about an unsecured email server later tried to defend the fact that many the President's inner circle didn't have proper clearance to see and do what they were seeing and doing.
      But Clinton's got nothing to do with the current President. Independents, swing voters and genuine, traditional conservatives may have convinced themselves for a few days in November to take a chance with someone with his professional and personal reputation, but the buyer's remorse was almost immediate... and it's gone downhill since then. President David Dennison tried to buy a bump in job approval with temporary, modest tax breaks because pay-offs have always been a central part of his corporate strategy (I'm from New York City, we've known this man since long before his reality TV show became a fly-over state primetime hit)... but modest payoffs will only get him so far.
