These japanese honorable warriors armors and swords, don't look any good to be wear by occidental customers and peoples not belonging to japanese heritage.
Japan country should not allow any foreigners counties peoples other than japan ones , to buy or purchase these armories and equipments.

Been there. Great shop right down the street from the old Kyoto Budo Center. Lovely, gracious people work there, highly recommended to drop by there if in Kyoto.

Bucket list when JP opens back up. Have some antique Samurai swords and a smattering of Irezumi all over me: been deployed there numerous times, love JP!!! Beautiful shop, look forward to taking my eldest daughter there in the future.

Shop is awesome but the ad (sword bag) was the cherry on top. It’s like when other culture is amazed by the West when seeing a commercial for a rifle bag like its everyday day item.
It would of been over the top if when the man demonstrating the sword case, if when he zipped open the little tool pocket, inside was am exquisite Tozanado tool and powder case with the needed components. That could be purchased with the case.
I just got Tozando Byakko Tenryu semi custom with the plumb design.
Is it better to have all the spaces in the tsuba?
The plum blossom design has a thick tsuba with no spaces in it...

How much does an average real katana ask If you don’t mind me asking
A real Katana can run anywhere from 3k on up. Just like anywhere in the antique world there are a lot of fake Katana's and even more prevalent are fake sword maker signatures to boost the selling price. Even experts have a hard time identifying sword makers.

@@johnwayne2103 a "real" katana is any katana forged by legitimate smiths, such as Swords of Northshire, considering the rich history of a legendary swordsmith. Yet a real katana can be 500 and up or less depending on the specs you choose for steel.

If the airline confiscates just a small pocket knife what do you think the reaction is for a sword? Use common sense. You are going to have to have the sword shipped and my suggestion is to get it crated because you don't want that sword damaged in any way.

@S K No, there have been long swords made but how many tall Japanese have you seen? If you are 7'2 as you have claimed you would have to get one specially made. Right now the Chinese are making practice swords and they are pretty good quality. My suggestion is to get fitted for one.
