Thank you for posting this. The product photos dont do it justice. I was worried about the hamon at the kissaki but the light plays tricks in still photos because of the geometry. It looks wonderful, and you chose the same tsuba I want, so now I know what to expect.
Hello, it depends on what you ordered, if its a custom one, it takes months. For this one I waited a month. Tozandos customer service is very very good and they will be transparent with their estimated delivery. Cheers
The shipping service is really fast by UPS from Japan. The last item i ordered took one week for shipping. But it depends on your customs. The most time takes the production of the sword, because everything is assembled and produced by craftsman.
Might be the angle but it looks like a chokuto, I know some katana made during the edo period where a lot straighter than older ones so maybe they got inspiration from that? Or maybe it’s something completely different, but it’s a beautiful item nonetheless.
@@charliebowen5071when appraising katana, the shape/curvature is usually more indicative of time period than school although certain schools may have some effect on it
that's not a silver btw. i actually own a toryumon too. and 3 high hrade iaito from minosaka iaito. silver is only used to the koshirae of mid to high end iaito. toryumon is just a basic/entry iaito. even the tsuba itself they're using zinc alloy for toryumon
I said i chose the kuroro, when Alot of people would prefer the ishime. when I said silver, I was referring to the color of the fittings and I am well aware of what I chose. Yes I did read the description of my order thank you
It's totally not Chinese fitting. This kind of Iaito are made in Japan. And it's not a real katana. It's made for martial art training or decorating. It can not cut.
