I've been trying for years to connect my desktop and laptop PC's to share documents and pictures. This is the clearest and most concise video on the subject I think I've ever seen. Thanks you for such clear information although I must admit that I'm going to have to watch this another time or two to get all three of my computers properly sharing my documents and pictures.
Thank you. I am not all that good at this sort of thing. Tried to follow 2-3 similar vids but got confused. Pretty much blew right through this effort following this video with a minimum of confusion. It's up and running!
Well, I'm glad I could help you 🙂
Awesome!!! I've been wanting to connect my Win10 & Win11 machines for a while, but just wouldn't take the time to get it done. Your video quickly showed me how to easily accomplish this and I appreciate your help!
Thank you! I'm so glad I found this video, I've been trying to do this for a long time!😃
Thank you so much! Your video is truly the most simplistic. Definitely a sub!
Fantastic simple easy to follow steps, and not patronising. Thank you, this has helped me massively
Fantastic clear video. Just what I was looking for.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic! I could not get my PCs to connect until I watched this video, very well explained.
Thanks! I'm an old IT tech that has forgotten more than I know and this got me on track!

how long have you been in tech?
I started in 88 and retired in 2015

so smooth and simplistic. thank you.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I have been trying to resolve this problem for months. Your video did the trick.
Thank you for sharing!! Followed step by step and worked perfect
Ок 🙂
excelent step by step for all of us who are not verry good at this things. this made my life at work easyer
Ок🙂
thank you very much, very helpful 🙂
I have tried setting up windows transfer a dozen times over the last few years. All of the videos acted like it was so easy, but it either didn't work at all or only worked sometimes. Yours is the first video that acknowledges that the process is flaky and the shared PCs sometimes don't show up in the Network folder, and gives a way to fix it. Thank you very much.
Ok🙂
Thanks bro, it is so detailed and well explained .
Incredibly helpful thank you! I'm struggling with sharing and entire drive though - can I use this method to share my entire C drive as an example?
Nice this steps is correctly and the easy and fast way to share files. Nice video 😉
Ok😊😊❤❤
it works!! very useful!!! thanks a lot!!!

Best tutorial I've ever watched my whole life.

Thank you for this amazing video. It's crazy how hard something as basic and important as this is to pull off....sigh.
Ok!
Extraordinary skills
Very useful video.

Very good sir
Thanks you so much to heart

How about entire drive sharing? is the process the same?
yeah but the problem is to access drive C. Even though I share it I can not access it
did you ever find what caused the issue? I’m searching
Hello,
Thank you for the video, I am trying to share a drive over another computer and the drive is located but unfortunately, when I try to open the drive it shows:" Network Error.... windows cannot access you do not have permission to access the (my ip number). Contact your network administrator to request access."
What can I do?
Thank you once again!
Just one question, is it compulsory to have Internet Connectivity if we consider either of the 2 computers?
Also, if we have to share data between both the computers then is it required to have Internet Connectivity in Both the Systems?
If Yes then is it compulsory for both the Systems to be connected to the same internet??
PLSSSSS ANSWER..
Nice one.. Please can this work for pc to phone without using the ftp app on the phone?
I haven't tried it, but it's quite possible to do it
Thanks for the information but I have a problem sharing data that I can share from 10 to 11 but not from 11 to 10.
I think that from 10 to 11 the settings will be exactly the same.
You can also try to add one more setting - log on to all PCs in a local account.
Open Settings, then Accounts, click on the tab Your details and click "Sign in with a local account instead".
I'm assuming it also works if you directly ethernet cable the two together?
For this connection, the settings are slightly different:

@@ipMalik Thank you! 👍

Q. .... why my hard desk properties / share button / is grey ?? i can t click it.??? PLS help
Will this accomplish the following: If I update a file on my laptop (windows 11) will it automatically update that same file on my desk top (windows 11)? And visa versa. I am tired of trying to remember what I did on one computer to another, and/or emailing my other computer the updated file. Just too many damn computers now adays. lol
No, you cannot update two files at the same time this way.
Not work in my pc
will the procedure be the same if both devices are windows 11 ?
Oh sure.
Sometimes when you try to open a file on another PC over the network, the system asks for account information, then do the following:
ua-cam.com/video/647O9AEHsPE/v-deo.html
Or log in on both PCs with a local account.
Open Settings, Accounts, Your Details, and click on "Sign in with a local account instead".
Hi , Will this technique works if i share the Entire D drive of the 2nd Computer
I can't say for sure, try it and see for yourself.
Nah, I tried it and it didn't work. But, you can always create a new folder and put all the original folders in there.
Windows cannot acces \\pc1 error showing
2:05 that's where legends lost their shit XD
??
Can you tell me the name of the sound from the starting of the video?
This is the Windows 10 system sound.
@@ipMalik do you happening to know the name? And when this sound is player, or what trigger this sound?
@@aeonel I think you will find this sound here:
www.101soundboards.com/boards/10651-windows-10-sounds
I followed the steps but it's asking for network credentials! EDIT: Changed from Public Network to Private and now it works!
Ok 👍
Sometimes this can be solved like this:
ua-cam.com/video/647O9AEHsPE/v-deo.html
@@ipMalik ok thanks, and what's the password you entered in that video?
@@romano5785 This Windows is running a Microsoft account, so I entered my Microsoft account password.
This problem can be solved in another way:
open Settings, then Accounts, open the "My Details" tab and here click "Sign in with a local account instead".
That is, transfer the PC under the control of a local account.
I can see the pcs under network . Cannot share anything because it asks for username. What username ? I thought we shut off the security ?
Yes, sometimes this happens and there are two ways to solve the problem.
1. This video shows how to enter your details correctly:
ua-cam.com/video/LX_0ENANp8k/v-deo.html
2. If you have a Microsoft account on one of your PCs, you can log into Windows with a local account.
To do this, open Settings, then the Accounts tab, and open the Your info tab.
Here, click on “Log in with a local account instead” and then follow the system’s recommendations.
After switching to a local account, all personal data will remain unchanged, and the problem will no longer exist.
Sir please make a video to create a windows 11 bootable usb drive with less internet consumption
@@ipMalik English please sir
@@jothishopping7914 I'm sorry - I did it by accident 🙂
If your PC already has a Windows 11 ISO file and a bootable flash drive program like Rufus, you can create a flash drive and install Windows 11 on your PC without internet.
But to download a Windows 11 ISO file or create a USB flash drive using the MediaCreationTool program, you will always need about 4.5 GB of Internet traffic.
To download an ISO file on a PC, you will not be able to consume less Internet.
If I understand correctly, you have limited internet, but you can reach out to a family member or friend who has unlimited internet and create a bootable Windows flash drive on their PC. A bootable USB flash drive for Windows 11 is created for free.
You can then install Windows 11 on your computer from this flash drive, or you can install it on any other computer many times.
Not Need to assign up address for sharing?.
Sorry, but I didn't understand your problem..
Please tell me more details,
1. what did you want to do on the computer,
2.at what step did you get the problem?
3. what is the problem.
@ 7:29 why is the same device listed 3 times?
That's what Windows decided🙂
It seemed strange to me too..
And what does my TV have to do with it?
@@ipMalik unsatisfactory answer.
@@BlahBlah-kb1wf I'm sorry, but that's all I can answer about connecting a TV to a computer.
Ask me about connecting a computer to a computer and I will answer accurately and in more detail.
Nice try. The actual opened section in "Advanced sharing settings" was "Guest or Public", not "Private". And then... "here you **need** to choose reading and writing" xD
He implied you close ‘Private’ and then select those things (which will then default to Guest/Public).
My confusion is I’ve seen it done using Private tab too, and either way I can’t get it to show desktop sharing via laptop.
plot twist you don't have to restart the pc just get in and out of the folders or windows explorer.
no it not work
Why I can't download windows 11 original?
Try connecting some kind of VPN to your browser, it may work
One computer works but the ohter is asking for User name and Password folr some reason. I haeve password protectuion off in Network sharing but it still is asking for it!!
You can see in my other video how to solve this problem
timecode 9:16
ua-cam.com/video/GASigVseICc/v-deo.html
Great for transferring one file. I have a whole computer worth of documents. Not very good.
To transfer files faster, you can use another method:
ua-cam.com/video/GASigVseICc/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/D_OsSGe9tNI/v-deo.html
You say Tab 'Private' but go onto edit Tab 'Guest or Public'...
Thanks for the correction 🙂
but you can't remove these words from the video ..
to indicate the time on viewing, the time code, you need to write 3:33
This number will turn blue and when you click on it, the video will jump to 03:33
Doesnt work. It keeps asking about network credentials.
Perhaps you can solve the problem like this:
ua-cam.com/video/LX_0ENANp8k/v-deo.html
@@ipMalik Thanks for the suggestion, but I decided to use Onedrive instead

Try to solve the problem this way:
ua-cam.com/video/LX_0ENANp8k/v-deo.html
On the Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC, you turned on both 'Network discovery' and and 'File and printer sharing' on the 'Guest or Public' tab, not the 'Private' tab...huge security risk. Please make sure your videos are accurate before uploading.
If both Pc's are on same microsoft acc is it still possible to do it?
Yes, sure!
Thank you!
