Great build Tony. I only paid $300 for my plucker but it was worth it. You need to start a second channel and call it Tony’s Pluckin comedy show…. Haha i maid myself laugh. Cant wait to see it pluckin work in the next video. Thanks for sharing

I know Sam I Am, those crazy birds stayed around the entire time. Lucky for them they are our laying hens and they are safe, for now, hehehe

We could definitely use something like that for when we do our chickens
It makes plucking chickens a whole lot faster and easier. We will raise and butcher approx.200 chickens this year and we needed to speed up the process. If I were closer to you, I would build you one. Thanks for watching and have a great week.

Hope yours works better than my stepbrothers lol he made it out of an old washing machine but keep the bottom and side as one piece and the first chicken just went around and around so Brad Dad and I hand plucked 4 and put the project on hold the birds were to small. Your plucker looks nice should work nice I will try and get a video of the revamped setup in action.
These projects are always trial and error. If at first we don't succeed then try try again. hopefully all things go to plan. Have a great week. Doing any fishing?
@@CreeksideMaplesHomestead no fishing lately I only fish the rivers and this time of the year they are out on the coast and it cast and wait I get bored fishing like that I like cast and reel lures way more action how about yourself.

Nice Plucker. You must always support the inner race of the bearing before driving a shaft into it. The ball bearings are very easily distorted by the inner and outer races being forced offset.

Looks very similar to the southern engineering plucker
I’m not familiar with that one, however, there are a lot like it on UA-cam. A lot of great ideas and inventors out there. Thanks for watching
Sorry another question: What type of boiling set up do you have to put the birds in to loosen up the feathers?
No problem with the questions at all. We love the comments. We have two propane burners and two big metal pots. We keep the water at 160 degrees. It works well.
What size rod and blocks? V belt.
Pulleys?
Thanks for watching. The rod is 1/2 inch with matching blocks. The pulley is 10inch on the large and two inch on the small. I can’t remember the V Belt size sorry
