this was hands down the besssst guide out there, dosent zip into maps on way points actually shows u where to go and explains all perfectly i literally tried other guides months ago and left ffrom confusion, started new character and now 2 hours later in 1 sitting i finished whole collection from scratch :D thank you!!!
Thought I add something useful to know. If you gather the varietal seeds in your home instance, use gather booster. Chance to gather more than just 1 seed. Tested it and got more than 1 several times. And I didn't know but found out a few days ago you can right click the food salvager and salvage stacks, just like any salvager.
I finally did the ascended cooking after putting it off since it came out. Just for your info , getting the extracts just depends on level of the foods. So getting exotic you just salvage level 80 foods for 100%. I just bought level 10-20, 25-40, 45-60, 65-80 foods. And just level 80 for 100% exotics. Wish they would add salvage stack or something... So for the people that are going to start it...save all the Halloween foods. Finally a use for the foods to get rid of it all.
Thanks for your video, I'm sure it will be a great aid for people. I wish I'd had it when I was doing it...uggghhh! But its done...and I'm level 500. I think these feasts will come in handy for the next LS but otherwise I can't see using ascended food for normal events etc. AND it think the only way it could be of benefit if you do need to use one, is to share it and make sure you have a primer on so one meal will be active for 12 hrs. Just my opinion =D Its more a pain in the rump than anything else..now i have to garden too? lol guess I'm entitled city girl used to shopping at the grocery store.
Ronee hahaha love it, entitled city girl. I mainly did it in case someone in my guild wanted something and I could get it for them or hanging out at an event I love to drop food. Good point on the primer 🙃
hey :) just came across this helpful video, as I was trying to enable this achievement. I am already at level 470 and found Seimur in my home instance, but he doesn't ask (I have no way of giving him, even though I've got one) for Chef's platter. As a result I cannot unlock this achievement. I also no longer have the email that was apparently sent when I reached level 425. Do you have any suggestions if/how I can still do it?
yay for shmashter shefs ;) P.S. Dog didn't bark, but cat meowed >.< Oh ya and a minor thingy - thanks for the guide, i can start flipping the pancakes now !
I just started this achivement but I'm stuck at the Bloodstone Bricks Delivery, I have the 10 bloodstone bricks in my inventory but won't let me give them to Luron, I have completed the Asura, Charr, Norn and Sylvary tasks but for some reason I cannot give the bricks to the NPC to complete the Human tasks, I'm starting to think this step it's bugged.
@@yosoyelsupremo did you get a fix? If anyone else is having this issue make sure you are using the character doing the achievement. I was stuck then realised I was on another toon, it worked then.
I had the seed for sylvari culinary but accidently destroyed it and it doesn't seem to drop anymore, can't craft the portable composter either so I'm basically stuck
@@TiffyMissWiffy well I did subkit a ticket and now the npc won't take the seed received from Anet and if I go to craft any food for other race in their specific locations I won't get any progress😐
@@TiffyMissWiffy Made another ticket just hope they will give me an answer before the weekend, another funny thing is that I got the new owen in my home instance but I never talked with the norn npc just discovered that part of hoelbrak today with my cook. 😅
I found this note on the wiki “If multiple characters are "working" this achievement, only the first character interacting with any of the Master Chefs will progress the achievement. The additional character(s) may still interact, but the achievement will not progress. However, all characters "working" this achievement must complete it to gain the "Cooking station benefits" offered through it.” I personally just used one character to do it. I also found this once complete. “A Cooking Station for the home instance. (Chef characters over 425 only - even if that character does not have the Chef crafting profession active at that moment) A Garden plot for the home instance. (All characters)”
Hmm, great question. I found a Reddit post on it but it doesn’t answer too much on it. www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/dfgmkl/2nd_character_to_500_cooking/? Also, on the wiki for Gourmet Training, under the notes section it does talk about other toons but it isn’t quite clear to me either if it’s referring to only if multiple toons starting the achievement. I don't know if anyone will read this but i've just reached level 500 cooking but i haven't completed the human part yet. I have completed all the other race parts. You get a bloodstone brick oven from the human part but does it do anything special and is the completion of the achievement mandatory for crafting ascended food?
That's a great question, I am actually not sure. I just assumed that if you didn't complete the collection you couldn't craft ascended plates. As for the oven, the only benefit I *believe* is cosmetic and having access to your bank in your home instance., but I could be wrong.
