Day 1 beta veteran here and, believe it or not, I didn't know about the right click the skill to change it... I was the one clicking on the little arrow at the top... Yea... thanks for showing us the way! keep up the great quality content man
@Evan4K you can shift+click on an item to put the chat code into your current chat. And you can combine this with the /wiki command, /wiki shift+click the item, and it'll search based on chat code. Much faster than typing the item name.
I always enjoy watching these videos for little QoL tips I may not know. One thing I learned quite late in my time in GW2 is that clicking the boss HP on the event tab on the left of the screen selects the boss as a target which is sometimes faster than TABing through the enemies till you get to the boss.
Don’t buy expacs until you are ready to play them, wizards vault chooses your dailies/weeklies based on what you own. Having EoD dailies as a level 50 is useless etc.
I just started a week ago and after playing the free trial for several days I bought all the expansions because I got lucky and steam dropped a good sale so here I am learning and grinding and videos like this help a ton. The wiki is pretty awesome u can access with a few words... that will be very handy as I'm learning about certain items left and right. Thanks
Oh my god! I just paused the video to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is by far the best tips and tricks on GW2 on UA-cam. I literally watched all tips and guide and this one is suppppperrrr!
I have been playing since launch and just learned about a couple of these like rightclick chest rewards. My goodness this video would have been useful years ago! Cheers and thank you!
There is a Merc in WvWvW that sells exotic items with every selectable stat(beside the newer stats like dragon stat), for some WvWvW currency and around 1 gold a item. So it's a cheap way to get Mistrel or celestial. And it's easy to farm in the evening just join your squad and use a ranged weapon and farm the Currency.
Unlock masteries as soon as you reach level 80! I reached 80 then did 100% map completion before I stepped into HoT. I could have gotten auto loot so much sooner.
The WwW mode part is true. I'm working to get my warclaw now and in my 1st ever match, i managed to down 2 other players at the same time, even with a wonky messy totally not WwW build. Died many times after ofc, but still, it was fun. Maybe i'll make an alt just for this game mode.
Wish I knew what Liquid Aurillium was used for and worth before I got rid of it. It was so long ago, I can't even remember what I did with it, or what I got for it? What I do know is that I've never gotten a 2nd drop of loot that included it again.
Nice. I am a new player. Only level 45 and just bought the two earlier expansions. Quick question: I have not done a single dungeon yet. Is it worth running these while I am leveling or would it be difficult to get a group? Do people even run them at low level?
First video I watch on your channel. I must say this definitely is an incredible and updated help. Even as a veteran I've found some of this tips really helpful. Thank you for the video and helping new players get into the game! :)
Your content is some of the most engaging I've seen on GW2 Evan, keep it up! These longer videos are just essential background listening whilst playing
7:10 I heard this game modle exist widely among Korean MMOs(ex. BDO's guild wars, Lineage I & II, AION, and the up coming Trhon and Libraty etc), and also recently I saw a gw2 player started to play ESO, I feel they have a similar thing too xD But I don't really play them, so I could be wrong as well ;D Something I want to share here, maybe you can add it to your next "tip" vid lol I'm not sure if you ever wonder why Anet still allows "soulbond" items can be able to put into the bank. We can't take it out with other characters anyway. Then I realized, we can use Mystic Forge to merge those soulbond items from all characters directly through the bank. So I guess that's why ;D
Yeah Teso has exact same. 1000v1000v1000 conquest. Where you take keeps forts camps by sieging, zergs, blobs, roamers, extra objectives. But they also have sht servers :D If a fight off 100v100 in there it starts to lag haaaard.
Maan this video is by far 1 of the best out there for newbies like myself. Ty so much for the tips and well you got a new sub mate ^^. Cheers from Bulgaria
I have a few different one that I switch between depending on what I feel like playing, but most of the time my build will be something like this gw2skills.net/editor/?PWxAwyFlVwAZqMM2IW8X5RPA-DWRYiRHyYOc5HSnigWVA9KF04PAAA-w
best advice for players that didn't start at launch, forget legendaries. they are overpriced cosmetics that will make you hate life and spend an unreasonable amount of time and resources. if you want a flashy nice weapon, make ascended and use the gem shop. shocker I know, they are going to make you hate the process so much you will eventually spend more money on top of the roughly $200 it costs to play the game with its expansions for functionality. seriously. ascended have the same stats as legendary, and you can swap between characters. you have to decide for yourself if it is worth over a year of grind AND most likely more than $100 real money for footfall effects. every aspect of this game does its best to force you into spending more and more money for usually what amounts to cosmetics.
/d to talk to the squad. I learned it pretty fast, but for a bit I was that guy typing out /squad
did not realize that was the shortcut, ty
yeah me too, I used to type out /squad, then for some reason I thought the shortcut was /sq and was confused why it never worked lol
That’s me right now. Thanks for the tip

oh yes, that's actually a really good one!
Oh my god, thank you. Trying to target the amnytas meta boss has seriously started to grind my gears xD

Wwll shit. Wish I knew that a few days ago.
Huge tip actually, thank you.

The picture is so sassy and I love it.
Just recently started and falling in love with the game and this is this invaluable information. Thank you!
A little combo advice, you can use 18 /wiki with 22 ctrl + left click to link a item in the chat to quickly search an item in the wiki
I have been playing since launch and just learned about a couple of these like rightclick chest rewards. My goodness this video would have been useful years ago! Cheers and thank you!
Double tap to evade is awesome I use it all the time since I dont use WASD.
Ok I didn't know for the double click on waypoint, I'm playing for 9 years thanks

I have 1400 hours into GW2 and didnt know you cant change skills by right clicking :D Thank you sir!
Been playing guild wars for a decade and just learned about the jiggly chest auto loot
The biggest issue i have, as a newcomer (lvl40), is i have no idea what items are good and what to salvage and gold seems completly useless.
My eye! My eyes!. Stop typing the item name in chat after /wiki command. SHIFT+click it to add a link
Thanks for this, I was planning to play the game and I am glad that I watched this first before even starting the game. 😂💖
Unlock masteries as soon as you reach level 80! I reached 80 then did 100% map completion before I stepped into HoT. I could have gotten auto loot so much sooner.
Learned about red bars on skills. Thanks Evan!

🎉I still press everything at once. I also use the same builds that I started with. 😅
YOU CAN RIGHTCLICK THE REWARD CHEST?!?!
Love your video ❤
1:58 That happened to me and because of that I fell on the lava on the Sorrow Embrace dungeon.
so many people also fall off jumping puzzles because of this, the double tap is such a killer
Im like a grandpa in this game but i enjoy this guides.... They make me laugh 😂
Been using 6-0 for 3 years and it alright

I have an MMO mouse and I have bound the F1-F10 binds to Shift+1-Shift-0

Thank you for the video and helping new players get into the game! :)
Thank you for the tips I just downloaded the other day. Also you have a nice face and voice 😊
I laughed pretty hard at the Queen Jennah's Only Fans...

Thanks so much, glad you like them!
Wow! I didnt know most of those things. Why did this video never come earlier? 😂
i only knew 4 and 7 ... Thanks alot
How do you enable the action target cursor thing I see so many people using
It's a button you need to set in settings, there is no default if I remember correctly. Look for mentions of action camera in Controls.

I am also a WvW fanatic. I was a PVEr before but the collections are obnoxious and rubs me the wrong way.
most of my favourite gw2 memories are all from time spent in WvW, it has such a different feeling than any kind of PvE
