So cool to see characters that aren't human! The Zabrak was super well done as was the twilek! Neat costumes and locations, only the Jedi (or should I say Sith?) master was a bit cheesy. I hope there's a part two! I love how much effort fans clearly put into their films, great work!
That trick ending was great. I thought she was going to give up on her beleifs but she pulled through in the face of a difficult challenge. Definitely a Star Wars message there.
Not even a minute in and this already is my favorite so far due to the makeup. Good job you managed to make them look like actual people from a separate race.
The quality of this movie exceeds the quality of lots of so called professional movies. Acting, make up, effects and story are really good and give a professional impression!!!
Holy shit, the quality was outstanding! The acting was good, script was amazing, and the cinematography is outstanding! You wouldn't say it is a fan movie. Well of course you can notice it's not an official film, but definetly much better then your typical fan movie, I love it!
I've watched over 20 Fan-Films so far and this is my favorite!!! My father brought me and my brother to the opening of the original Star Wars back in the 70s. I love that people like you keep the true spirit alive :D
I think the makeup was done pretty well for a budget fan film, and the Watchers' costumes were very well done. Made me want to learn more about the Watchers and how they came to be. Acting was good for those who are fairly new to acting, I think. The worst was probably the dark jedi. End was good. You don't know if the dark jedi beat the watchers and you don't know what might happen int he future, so it's a nice cliffhanger. Nicely done.
I agree. The Dark Jedi was a Meh, for me. The Twi'lek and the guy though. They were pretty good. A bit of a womp for the editing, especially the ship, but for a fan film, I'd say it's good.
Good props. Great scene locations. Excellent Cinematography. Pretty decent acting. Costumes were not a disappointment. All in All, great work you guys ! Let's see Part II !
I live and work in Hollywood...I am literally immersed in the ocean of dreams that laps at this town within the city of L.A...I have also been a dedicated fan of Star Wars since I was initiated into that universe upon seeing the film during its opening weeks back in the summer of 1977 as a twelve year old boy...the magic, wonderment, and mystery of Star Wars helped to impel me in my subsequent adventures in the worlds of academia, business, art, and music. My point? I have seen fan films come and go of late-but this tiny gem of a science fiction/Star Wars short has reminded me why I took the path that has constituted the essence of my life...It is an eight minute masterpiece of a short film...Love the symbolism in the Watchers, who serve as both a phantasmagoric chorus and provocatively silent deus ex machine...The film is perfectly well paced, the cinematographt is excellent, and the plot structure believable, as it contains the necessary elements of humour and high seriousness or gravitas. Bravo!
Doyle Perkins Im with Ted when I say wow!! From the whole team, we are blown away by your thoughtful words and thorough critique. Thank you for watching
Ted Ringeisen One idea that truly resonates is the concept of the restlessly questing Jedi Master who makes a Faustian bargain with the dark side...We see in his words of seduction, "unlimited power' more than a faint echo of the Emperor Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith; but keeping in mind that yours is the portrayal of true Jedi apprentices/neophytes/Padawans in the face of their forbiddingly imposing fallen Master-in other words, he is not a Sith Lord but a fallen Jedi, which has a very intriguing tie in with the "Watchers" ( a term, of course, taken from Earth mythology dealing with fallen angels who had originally been assigned to monitor human cultural and social evolution. But there are more goodies to be found in your production-obvious parallels to the landmark Hollywood arts film short, "Meshes of the Afternoon," and, of course, I am referring to the hooded figure with a mirror for a face shrouded in mystery...and an unforgettable scene replete with ocean and shoreline...In no way, am I accusing you of lifting from Meshes of the Afternoon...On the contrary, I am applauding such a brilliant (pun intended) reworking of that cloaked symbol...Lastly, I am moved by your use of the Watchers as a silent Greek chorus in the old dionysian tragedies...Great work!
Just found this one. I’m not completely familiar with who the Watchers are, but it occurred to me, as they surrounded the fallen Jedi so quickly, that perhaps part of their function was to reflect back to him who he was being, hopefully to see the error of his ways. I was left not seeing what happened next, just hearing him swing his light-saber. Perhaps symbolic of him fighting with himself within. Going to go look for part two now.
Good production value, new and captivating story line (leading viewers to want more). I liked the 3 kids characters because they weren't the whiny reluctant heroes that always drive me nuts. I also liked the open ended finish. Congratulations Jack E Curenton "GENERATIONS" 2016 Spirit of Fandom Award Winner Euro Celebration
I like how this show the way that young Jedi rebel in their teens rebel against their masters its a really nice touch and a good pov to tell the story from
I really wish this story had a bit more of a resolution, but all in all...very well done. The costumes a makeup are far beyond many fan films, the use of what I assume is a drone for the arcing overhead shots was nice and the acting was actually pretty good BECAUSE of the casualness of the young padawans.
OMG this was awesome! I hope there is a part 2! I loved it! I loled when the human Padawan could not hit his old master with the force, but when the just threw the rock with his bare hands he hit him in the face lol! I LOVED IT! AMAZING JOB!
Finally! A Star Wars fan film that's not dead-ass serious the entire time! Great costume and makeup work too! Twi'leks are really hard to get right, what with the headtails and all! Great work!
It's really interesting that the Zabrak female's kyber crystal was green. It was supposed to be the color of peace users like the Jedi consulars. It was such a great contrast with how she was the one to convince the others to go to the cave and how she seemed to be the most fiery of the three. I wish we could see more of her.
That was damn impressive. Good choice with the actors. I liked the Watchers design. I was reminded of those bat creatures from Beastmaster. If they are even a little bit like them, that's a pretty ferocious cliffhanger.
At 5:50 when the force just isn't enough... Sometimes you have to do it yourself, lol. I can't express how much that made me laugh ! Otherwise this is absolutely awesome... Patiently waiting for the next part !!!
I’ve watched so many Star Wars fan films and honestly this is one of the best ones I’ve seen. So many times when there are Jedi/Sith-centric fan films, the dialogue is terrible. The actors are also unfortunately often unable to deliver the dialogue well. This isn’t the case here. It was very well written and all the actors did a great job! The cinematography was also very impressive as well as the graphics. The story was very intriguing and I definitely hope to see a sequel to this that explores these characters and the Watchers further. :) Fantastic job! Everyone that was part of this should be very proud of themselves.
This was very well done. If this was made "just for fun" as you describe in your description, I really wanna see what you put together when it's more than "just for fun". Absolutely great stuff. Perhaps a part 2?
It is amazing that you humans have created such a fantastic and amazing fan film but only have that many subscribers. There is definitely room for sequels I would love to see; keep up the great work.
Excellent cinematography, character/costume design, hair/make-up, and use of location. Everything looks fantastic. I didn't even notice that the lightsaber was special effects, it was so seamless. The planets in the sky didn't even register with me in my first viewing because they were so subtle and realistic, the VFX team did really outstanding work. The only CGI I noticed was the ship, but there were obvious constraints there so it was easily forgivable. The editing was mostly pretty good, but it's important to never cut from a moving shot to a still shot because it creates a sensation of whiplash. The acting as well was mostly very good, certainly better than most fan films. Master Ellis was maybe a tad too theatrical, but it never really took me out of the film. The music is very impressive but should have been used less; let the story speak for itself and use the music to highlight the most important moments. I thought the opening shot in the cave was really cool, but after watching the film it totally gives away the surprise of the master being evil. That could've made for a really interesting mystery to leave hanging until the red lightsaber ignites. The exposition feels a little clunky and probably could've used a short opening crawl to get it out of the way. Also, it isn't really clear why Jordyn and Kira are running at the start; there's no mention of where they came from or who'll notice they're missing and start looking for them. The characters were very well-introduced. Their personalities and motivations were obvious immediately, which is more than can be said about most real big-budget blockbuster movies, so that was really impressive. That said, Tormus' introduction was very cringey and clichèd. The girls shouldn't have noticed his presence, he should've just yelled "Stop!" as they walked up to the cave entrance, then Jordyn has the "Were you following us the whole time?" line. Kira's name is never said aloud in the whole film, Jordyn's is said only very quickly as the rock falls on her. Watching Tormus use the force to throw the tiny rocks he could've just bent down and picked up was equally frustrating and unintentionally funny. If he was going to use the force, the rocks should've been too large to throw. The Watchers look awesome and feel very natural to the Star Wars universe, but the way they're used in the story is a huge deus ex machina. The ending is a clear sequel set-up, which is fine in theory, but I think it would've been better for the thematic structure of this film if Jordyn's temptation was dealt with as the third act. The first act is the approach to the cave, the second act is the revelation that Ellis turned to the dark side and the padawans working together to defeat him, then the third act resolves the loose ends in Jordyn's character development either with Jordyn succumbing to the dark side and turning on her friends or with Kira and Tormus talking her back to the light. As it stands, the ending just feels like it cut off a minute or two early. I also feel like it would have been more impactful/cooler if we see the crystal in Jordyn's hand turned red but that's just my opinion. Overall it's a solid 7.5/10, I hope you continue this story.
For all the critiques you made of this fan made fan film I just hope that you have made a film of your own such as I have. I mean absolutely no disrespect of any kind, but I just feel that it's easy to judge somebody else's work compared to doing all the work of making your own fan film. If indeed you have actually made your own fan film then I recant everything that I have just said here. Cheers!
Well done on all counts! Darth Vader voice: "Never underestimate the powerrrrr....of a good throwing arm." :) I also like how the Padawans actually do the smart thing (Everything here is way more powerful than us. Let's GTFO and warn the council instead of sticking around and getting ourselves killed).
The problem with fan films is everything looks to clean and new nothing looks worn therefore it ruins the illusion I'm surprised none of the other fan films picked up on this
Amazing! You actually had races we all know from the original! A 100 times over better than what Disney made in all the years they have had the project combined XD
From a person who has also made his own fan film for UA-cam.......EXCELLENT work! You guys have every right to be very proud of yourselves!
Wasn’t filmed in the woods. Thumbs up!
Fuck, yes
Most of the sith in extended universe and fan films look like death metal musicians.
They look more like black metal musicians but I see what you’re getting at
both equally awesome! ;)
I was just about to say the same thing. Norwegian black metal to be even a little more specific

Anytime anyone says "they're not real" they're real...
Revan truth
i was hoping that was about the twelik's bosom.... which wasn't in costuming theme with every-other from the films..... :(
As well as this time "look" really meant there was someone there
11/10, Badass acting, effects, costumes, makeup etc, i cant find a single amateurish thing in this fan movie. Thank you for uploading this to youtube.
the fact that they actually found a cave IS AMAZING!!!!! LOVE THE CHARACTERS
The Make Up was phenomenal
I kinda been out of the Star Wars mood for a while now. This gift has brought me back.Thank you..
You have to be an absolute & total nerd to like this. Fortunately I am one. Good work team.
Different concept than most SW fan films and costume/ make-up was OP...I liked it!
Well I'll be damned... This was interesting. Makeup job was absolutely excellent!
So cool to see characters that aren't human! The Zabrak was super well done as was the twilek! Neat costumes and locations, only the Jedi (or should I say Sith?) master was a bit cheesy. I hope there's a part two! I love how much effort fans clearly put into their films, great work!
Makeup, body/facepaint and costumes would have to be the main highlight. Very few fan films do it this well
WOW...EXCELLENT SHORT, How about a full length show?
That trick ending was great. I thought she was going to give up on her beleifs but she pulled through in the face of a difficult challenge. Definitely a Star Wars message there.
Not even a minute in and this already is my favorite so far due to the makeup. Good job you managed to make them look like actual people from a separate race.
Loved the high-level makeup and costumes. Congratulations! Keep the good work.
Wow, the makeup and costuming were fantastic! Acting was pretty good too. I really enjoyed it. Can we get a sequel?

Hell yea great work team. I prefer LUT filters for a more cinematic look but makeup and graphics were well done for fan films 👏
like many others I liked this short story
nice characters, makeup, sound and grading
.. and I REALLY like that ship

What a masterpiece! I want a sequel!

I sure enjoy these fan films! People really have a lot of talent and it shows, thank you!!
Some of the best costuming and make-up i've seen in a fan film yet!
We need more of this! Let the story continue
Yes!!!!
This felt like it could’ve been an episode of Rebels! Great job! Outstanding!
very very very good was fun to watch. would like to see more.
That was some pro cosplayer level character design, damn fine job
That was damn impressive. Good choice with the actors. I liked the Watchers design. I was reminded of those bat creatures from Beastmaster. If they are even a little bit like them, that's a pretty ferocious cliffhanger.
That was really cool. Nice work :)

This is really wonderful, you guys. Well done!
The cosplays and the Location was Really good. And non-cheesy acting.

Really good cinematography and pretty good acting
great job. ready for part 2. I subscribed so that I'll be notified

Im SO proud of all of you! This was GREAT!! Congrats!
one of the best fan films i have seen directing is good and cinematography is good.
Top tier fan film. Nice job guys
Late to the party but this was awesome - way better than tlj with only 8 mins lol -- I actually wanna know more about these characters. More please :D
well done. really impress. congrats
Another fan-film better than the studio's.
Disney- Take notes.
Excellently made! Very impressive all around.
The story is so naive and illogical but still charming... thumbs up
What!? No "I've got a bad feeling about this!" -line?!
Well done on all counts! This is amazing and I love thinking about what fans in the 80's would have felt like knowing that eventually fan films would have helicopter shots.
Whoever played the bad guy really nailed it with "Finally complete"
The problem with fan films is everything looks to clean and new nothing looks worn therefore it ruins the illusion I'm surprised none of the other fan films picked up on this
Great story. Costumes looked great. All around, a damn good short film.
This was amazing! Please let there be a sequel!!
Y’all need to be in the feature length movies, great stuff!
please do more of this fan-film. i really love it
Interesting story, good cinematography, good job 😎
NEXT EPISODE PLEASE

The Zabrac female’s costume looks amazing.
Amazing work! Perfect setting, costumes, and acting. ^~^
Well done. Not sure this is ok to do but great.
Amazing! You actually had races we all know from the original! A 100 times over better than what Disney made in all the years they have had the project combined XD

Great job guys, this film was VERY good👍. I'm excited to see more!!! Lol I REALLY want to see more😆.
