    The scene where the kid was shot as the guards were carrying him back and then the shooter being chewed out wasn’t because the kid got shot, but because the guy was pissed he was in such proximity to being shot himself.

      It's always that way. Cowards are never accepting for themselves every kind of bad or even awful situation they just put other people so deeply in. In this case that soldier didn't care at all about that boy death,but he would not even have accepted to be slightly injured or partially and permanently deafened by the rifle loud sound.

    I first saw this film when i was a teenage boy. Now i have children of my own and in my 40s and can't even make it through part of this clip without feeling sick... cant imagine the suffering they must have gone through...

    What’s crazy?
    These people who died in the ghetto were the lucky ones. They died quickly.
    Those who survived the camps and post war, were insanely lucky
    Those who survived because of Schindler, the chances of a German, a Nazi, having a change of heart, choosing between loyalty to the Nazi state, money, and lives of slaves; beyond lucky.

      This movie actually gave me nightmares that I was a Jewish prisoner. Worst mental experience i ever had because it real at the time. It was a dream. But I do remember thanking God I had the decadency of not dreaming about being the Nazi killer. That would have fuked my head up a lot worse. Seriously not BSing on this.

    This event happened in 1943 in Poland. The same kind of event happened barely 6 years previously in China infamously known as the R4p3 of Nanjing. And the Chinese Schindler, also a German and a member of the N4z1 Party, John Rabee, watched the Japanese Imperial Army's unspeakable and horrendous atrocities against local Chinese in front of his eyes.

When he returned to Japan the Japanese government was furious with him and he was dismissed from his job. He had to make a living selling light bulbs door to door in Japan, a humiliating position for him and his family even though he stood up to the Germans and did the right thing.A move should be made about him too.

    Prayers to all of those souls. I remember showing this film to my inner-city 8th grade class as part of a unit on the Holocaust. If didn’t take long for them to be into the movie By the end, they all looked up to Oscar Schindler.

    I was probably 10 the first time I watched this movie in the 90s and I couldn't understand why it had a different effect on my dad than it had on me. I knew about the war by then and I knew about the holocaust but I couldn't fully grasp what had been done. I wouldn't sit down to truly watch this movie again until I was 30, and while I hadn't learned anything new about the events and had even seen other shows like BoB, I had a hard time watching this. Even today I just find it so hard to believe that so many people could be evil enough to do these things.

    Deaths depicted in the movies are probably the most horrific in any other movie I have seen probably because they were that realistic. No dramatic falling or breakdancing, just falling to the ground like a ragdoll

    By high school I was well aware of the holocaust, having grown up in Brooklyn, New York. But the depictions of events like this liquidation scene, with all of its minutiae, brought it home to me how hideous this must have really been for these poor people.

      Yes. This also shows what human beings are capable of. Although there are worse genocides through the years. This actually is a part of a chapter in Senior High School in India. So, I show this extract from the film for them as part of their learning process. Every generation should learn from histroy so that the errors made then should not be repeated for the sake of humankind.

    I find it interesting how Schindler was perfectly alright with exploiting their plight and misfortune for his own personal monetary gains, but draws the line when he sees them being killed. Such a grey character and intriguing character.

      What I find most intriguing about his story is how many “good” people did nothing.
      Schindler was a mess of a human being with ambiguous morals, but even he looked at what was happening and k knew it was wrong.
      You don’t have to be a perfect person to change the world for the better- you just have to be brave enough to do your best when you see injustice taking place.

    My father took me to the cinema proudly one day to go to see a movie (something very odd), but I was happy cause was my first time ever in a cinema. Didn’know the movie was Schindler’s list, I had just turned 7 years old

    Watching the movie causes me to think : What would I do in those situations? Honestly, never having been faced with something on this magnitude, I would like to think I would try to do something….but what? I met and worked with a woman whose parents had been part of the Dutch resistance. Such stories they had. Years of living on edge day and night but not giving up. They said they never knew how many people they assisted…they couldn’t. Would I, now in my 70’s, be that brave?

    I was a exchange student in 1982 . We went to Hamburg Germany . While we were there, we went to one of the concentration camps . That had piles of hair, false teeth, shoes, etc. in individual rooms made of plexiglass . Seeing these items that had been stripped from the Jewish prisoners , right before they sent them to the gas chambers. It left a lasting image on my mind.

    My wife and I are Scottish and we went to visit Krakow last August. When there we couldn’t not visit Auschwits Birkenau . It was very very difficult to understand what went on there, when the sun was splitting the sky. About thirty degrees , and the temperature would have caused the people even more problems. Very very difficult to keep your shit together . My goodness my Lord Jesus was a Jew himself.

      Palestinians started several wars to exterminate the Jews in Israel and lost. It was only when the Arabs realized their evil acts would cost them their land did they create this "Palestinian oppression" BS. Did the Germans claim occupation when the Russians defeated them? No, they were force migrated back to Germany, over 10 million of them. These Arabs should go to Jordan and Egypt, the two states largely responsible for this situation.
