One of the very few DIY 3D printers that didn't require a 3D printer to build it.
Make sense cause i found a couple of videos that go like this
1 get a wood panel
2 get 2 sticks
3 get a 3d printer to 3d print small parts you will need
4 etc etc you get the point
Like why did i search this video if i want to build it not buy it and then build it

This is actually really cool idea. Should be considered a reprap because it has the ability to print upgrades for itself and parts for another machine. Around how much did this cost you to build?
looks like the new parts were the power supply / extruder / hotend / ramps / arduino everything else was salvaged.

Some questions:
- Why place a fan under the bed if hotbeds are normally used?
- On ramps 1.4, do you use full steps or micro steps (connecting jumpers)?
- A4988 drivers require calibration, how have you done it?

When I glanced at the wiring diagram (in which im also making a 3d printer ) how comes the positive wire the red wire, is in the negative port on the extruder end?
I have a big problem. Is it okay when you add the 12v adapter that on the ramps 1.4 there's a red light and the mosfet is heating up? Really need an answer please. Thanks

depending on the size of ur needs, this diy makes the printer a lot cheaper than the official one...one small error on the calculations can cause perfection integrity of the printed item..

pre aquecer abs pelo display gráfico liguei o fan 70 % e ao chegar em 240graus mandei o motor da extrusora mover 10mm e nada de ligar o motor ,tem ideia o que posso fazer pra saber onde tá o erro ?

no arduino uno and nano do not have de capacities to generate an algorithm whith two or more actions at the same time the only on that can do that is mega and otherwise there is no shield for the uno or nano

That’s an interesting XY stage, o don’t think I’ve seen one like that before, most move the extrusion head 🤔
Because combining 1axis with extruder axis will significantly reduce mechanical noise. This design is not so good if you don't have good stepper motor drivers.

hi sir actually i do this printer in your reference video but i have used my stepper motor driver current is 0.35 and my axis is working but i click the print button my printer is fastly run and x and y axis is suddenly run and stop ........what is your default axis#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 80.70, 80.70, 164.70, 93.80 },and my acceleration #define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION { 350, 350, 350, 10000 }..........which value is used in this axis and acceleration .....

at 3:37 you put two wooden pcs to base of y axis but how can platform move on t axis because you didn’t attach platform to lens which is moving part? please explain this
The lens is connected to the lower lens, this time the lens is not moving, upper lens is stable only the body is moving ❤️

Step motors get very hot and make noise. What should I do?
I suggest following a wiring diagram to the exact, try testing your parts out , if your motors got very hot trying checking your wiring based on a diagram also check your Voltage and amperage if it excess to amount of amps per motor try using 1 or 2 10 k ohm resistors and try from there. Formula I = v times r also note check the voltage of a small 12 voltage stepper motor ro see how many amps it can handle
