Lmao. As a person who used a steam deck To make a game. Edit videos AND Make Music off of FL Studio. while being on the Default Desktop os, this is Still pretty crazy too.
I actually installed Live on my deck the same way through bottles, idk why it gave you such a finger, lol. I've been using it on my deck for the last couple of months, and I've found to save on storage otg I put my samples and projects all onto a microsd card, and it actually works really well lol. Then once you get a profile setup in SI, it makes the workflow so seamless
you should try running bitwig on it next! it's similar to ableton in a lot of ways (made by former ableton engineers iirc) but natively runs on linux + has a touchscreen UI mode that could be fun to play around with
when I was working at Image Line, someone posted an image on the forum of them having custom shortcut scripts for FL Studio to make it actually useable on a steam deck lol (Ableton is still better 😈)
this is like bringus studio but more funny and creative
@@slimmercakeslimmer thank you :) bringus is actually a pretty big inspiration
6:16 the tune should be a startup tune for the steam deck. Sounds so good 😊
Thank you :)
It sounds like an advert BG for the steam deck. So cool
Thank you, I thought so too :)
watching him stare at the latency sliders and then NOT DECREASE THEM WHATSOEVER was low-key infuriating
Lmao don’t worry, I did decrease them right near the end before I played my song. I was able to get the buffer size down to 512 without crackling
@@metrabyte03 I made that comment right before you did it and breathed a sigh of relief hahah.
@@StormBurnXoh good lol, I couldn’t imaging making a song with latency that high lmao. I’d be saying the same thing
came for abelton on steam handheld, left with dopamine from steam deck song
I can't wait to one day get a steam deck and then be constantly reminded of this tune every time i use it!
Thank you :)
I'm surprised it was that easy, but then again I thought Ableton was Mac only. I learned something new.
Followed this video and got it up and running on my deck. Thank you!!
Oh you’re welcome, that’s awesome to hear!

Loved this video, especially as I'm an Ableton Live user myself
Thank you! :)
a youtuber that makes music and messes around with technology? subscribed immediately, keep up the good work
Thank you :)
6:13 Not only is this just neat but the Crème de la crème is the track you made all with sounds from the steam deck. Bravo!
Thank you! :)

Yeeeeees, more of this!!
one of the few game consoles that you can produce music on without jailbreaking
You can just use proton to run windows applications, it is built in to steam if you add the exe as a non-steam game
That’s true! I was actually going to do that instead with this video, but I didn’t want Ableton in my Steam library
you should try running bitwig on it next! it's similar to ableton in a lot of ways (made by former ableton engineers iirc) but natively runs on linux + has a touchscreen UI mode that could be fun to play around with
That’s pretty cool! I’ve actually never used bitwig so it could be interesting
Epic
Cool song
Thank you :)

Lol thats pretty cool (agreed)
Whoa, it has a silver rating
cooking again I see. been here from the start ^^
Thank you for always being here! :)
@metrabyte03 no problem! keep it up
Ableton runs like shit on my decent PC, i can only imagine how stable this is 😂
Surprisingly stable, if you count hard crashing the entire steam deck 4 times as stable lolll
could you install macos on it via opencore? that would be an interesting video.
I actually did that a couple videos ago lol
At this point the benchmark is, Can it run Ableton?
Pretty good benchmark tbh, I was able to run Live 9.5 on my Pixel 6 through Winlator
@@salamiwallnut now the real question, Can it run FL studio?
@@whydoyoucarewhatuseisthis probably, I've seen people run GTA 5
Alright, now try LMMS (another DAW).
That sounds fun!
At least is easier than in a 3DS 😂
The amount of jank and hoops you had to jump through just to install a simple program is the reason I installed Windows on my steam deck YEARS AGO
Lolll ikr, I’ve definitely been thinking of dual booting windows on there
year of the linux desktop amirite
