  • In this video I show you how to make an extra bubbly summer soap. Thank you for watching❣️
🟢Learn to formulate your own soap recipes here: www.tellervo.fi/shop/p/the-so...
    🟢Citric acid information:
When citric acid and sodium hydroxide lye (NaOH) are combined, sodium citrate is created. Sodium citrate works as a chelator in soap.
A chelator traps metal ions such as calcium and magnesium that can be found in tap water.
These metal contaminants can cause rancidity and soap scum in handmade soap.
A chelator binds to these metals so that they can’t bind to the soap molecules. This way the soap won’t react with them and the soap's lather improves + shelf life increases.
Citric acid does not lower the pH of soap. Instead it consumes some of the lye and increases the superfat. Add 6 g extra lye for every 10 g of citric acid added to a soap recipe if you want to keep the superfat % at the same level.
How much citric acid should be added to soap?
Usage rate in bar soap is 1-2% of the oil weight.
    How to use citric acid
Add citric acid to the distilled water and dissolve completely before adding the lye, or make a separate solution of citric acid and distilled water and add to the oils.

    Hola Sara!
La técnica de elaboración de jabón artesanal, en mi opinión, son de las más bonitas de hcer, pero tú lo haces especial ✨, sin duda.
Sigo varias cuentas de elaboración de jabones, pero la tuya me inspira, me encanta...
Me gusta probar cosas nuevas, investigar, y demás...
    Siempre gracias, Sara💚✨

Looks just beautiful, I am not a huge fan of food in soap but this is a very nice idea as it is the juice / water from the melon which is the bigger amount. I dont know of any other benefits from watermelon although I understand the oil version is supposed to be very good for skin. I think this is a decrease in the rhubarb powder from last time avoiding the bleed, have you hit just the right percentage now? And what a great trick to help illuminate the partial gel ring, well done and thank you, such a pleasure to watch.

Citric acid can help reduce "soap scum" - the bits of soap that bind with the minerals in water and create left over residue in the sink/shower/soap dish.

Thank you🥰 It would be better to gel it but the oven might be to hot with the sugars so you have to be careful!

Hi. Iam a big fan of your soap making beautiful techniques. I have few questions, it would be kind enough if you mention SF and which water method u applied. Most importantly, how much citric acid usage in PPO? Y we need to add it? Did u lessen the qty of Sodium Hydroxide by adding Citric Acid? Thank u 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous soap .. what temperature do you usually soap in with fruit juice to get such a smooth pour and no heat acceleration ..
