It was high time someone decided to cut according to the musical interest of what is shown. Hats off to the brilliant work especially for the chance to see John when he plays some off his best licks.
Apparently the drum track was re-recorded because the original had so many mistakes in (see Pete’s concern for Keith at the end). Does anyone know where you can hear the original drum track? The Who were undoubtedly the best live band ever!!!!
my brother saw the mike go flying out of Rogers grasp once and crash into speakers making a wild noise, I've heard of another where the mike went into the drums, not sure if he ever hit anyone, odds are he did with the amount of shows the did
He smacked it into Keith Moons drumkit and sent him into a rage, destroyed his drums in the middle of a show, thus became a legend...my thing is how many mac's Daltrey went through ?
I was at the charlton fc gig in 76 .. bad seats at the back .. or so I thought .. man! it was fucking LOOOOOUUUUUDD! .. I remember thinking those poor bastards at the front.
This IS the definitive edit of this performance in my opinion, and I absolutely love the original "Kids Are Alright" edit which I watched about twenty times at the Tower Theater in Philly when it came out, and perhaps hundreds of times after it hit various video media... well done by The Who, and yourself!
As performances go I don't think this was their definitve version of the song, However, it's definitely the best filmed and recorded. And their frustration at having to play the song repeatedly comes across in excellent fashion. It's one of my favourite live videos ever.
This performance is everything I love about rock & roll. It doesn't even seem cliche, just a perfect send-off for the Moon-era Who, before anything they did seemed too distant or in the past. Still in their 30s, still vital and incredibly pissed. If only Moonie was at the height of his drumming abilities still!
Wow today is May 28 so this is 32 years old... Anyway I like how the power slide is in regular speed, all of the other vids on youtube have it in slow motion. Great job on the editing

It's amazing that Daltrey never brained anyone with the mic.
Anyone doing that is a tit.
It was high time someone decided to cut according to the musical interest of what is shown. Hats off to the brilliant work especially for the chance to see John when he plays some off his best licks.
I turned it up LOUD.... Holy Shit!!! Nearly knocked the paintings off the freakin wall!!!!!!
I came for the Scream, the Loon, the Ox , the Voice, and the ..........Slide.
Incomparable.
BEST live group ever!! Wish I could have seen the whole gig..Saw them first in '65..They are amazing!
the leyend never die long live the who
The blue laser lights starting at 7:17 were the same used in ALIEN!!
Apparently the drum track was re-recorded because the original had so many mistakes in (see Pete’s concern for Keith at the end). Does anyone know where you can hear the original drum track? The Who were undoubtedly the best live band ever!!!!
@livelifefit wrong, theyre all on coke except for the singer, who was mostly sober.
Idiots cut out those first three thumps. You are not an idiot. Makes a nice change.
I wonder how many times over the years Pete got clouted with Daltrey's flying mike. LOL.
the hammond organ is one of man
kinds best inventions
this is SO much better than the original version! great job, dude!
WOWWWwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need I say more ;)
This is called "spiking the ball in the end zone."
I LOVE when Pete literally "Gives Blood at about 6:15 !!! oh oh oh !!! watch and see ohh oh
Some of the most animated, unbridled, letting it all hang out Pete.
my brother saw the mike go flying out of Rogers grasp once and crash into speakers making a wild noise, I've heard of another where the mike went into the drums, not sure if he ever hit anyone, odds are he did with the amount of shows the did
Try, just TRY to compare ANY shit band of toady to this. Rock royalty. Top shelf. One of a kind to never be seen again. Te amo!
Such an amazing performance just got better. Thanks.
He smacked it into Keith Moons drumkit and sent him into a rage, destroyed his drums in the middle of a show, thus became a legend...my thing is how many mac's Daltrey went through ?
fantastic clip!
It's great how Ox is looking when Pete throws the cymbal in the air (9:31).
That's why I love this band cuz it gives me goosbumps
The definitive Won’t Get Fooled Again is Stockholm 1972.
That WAS AMAZING!!!!!! Breathless!!
I've never seen such an exciting cut of this. Amazingly well cut.
I was at the charlton fc gig in 76 .. bad seats at the back .. or so I thought .. man! it was fucking LOOOOOUUUUUDD! .. I remember thinking those poor bastards at the front.

The genius is that it is simultaneously both in the trenches and the officer's club, no matter Who's in charge...
Prototypic laser show fucking glorious.❤
I could watch that slide at 8m27s all day! great edit!
How on Earth did we end up with the likes of Coldplay and Elbow?!…………
Greatest concert performers ever!
they should have set off fireworks at 8:28!
I'd like to do to American Idol what Townshend does to a Les Paul.
pete's guitar sound here is.....interesting
Thank you Sameer!!!! One love❤

@sbamkmfdmdfmk QUE GRAN SALTO EL DE PETE TOWSHEND
entwistle cool as fck and flawless.
sad loss.
You couldn't get much realer.
I still don't know which edit is my favourite, but I do like the alternate angle on the powerslide here.
The Who Lyrics Videoke
The Who pushed me to buy a guitar at the age of 12..after their concert in Rome. They will be forever the first rock band..no Zeppelin, no one other!
Its the who because I saw Keith Moon

Anyway I like how the power slide is in regular speed, all of the other vids on youtube have it in slow motion. Great job on the editing
I LOVE this shit! It is LIFE!
Its sad that people say they don't like this like that scream gives tear drops to my eyes
@ around 8:59 Roger catches his mic and it comes less than a foot from Pete's head. Pete notices and gives a quick double take. I love that!
you should of slow motioned the bit where he does the famous jump at the end, that would of been awesome :D.
Watch every frame and you'll never be the same!! The Who didn't just play Rock N' Roll---They ARE Rock n Roll!
the timing of tht power slide is impecable
When Townsend goes over to the stack.............does he turn it up to 11?
every band should reference this video if they want to become great at live performances
@livelifefit yeah i know, i got it too :P. i was just telling you fyi :)
The part from 7:17 to 8:18 always reminds me of the end of the movie 2001.
ah ok mate.
Thanks for the great upload.
Much better than the original,
Nice job ! :)
Awesome job on this video..
@wolfshozzer May 25 I mean
