    I've been watching lot of reviews but yours is really good. The best part is you are putting up the points as per your usage and not just doing marketing. And this is so true that "what lens is good for me may not be good for you". Also, no show-off and neat presentation with little bg music is good. Keep it up.

    I have the sony a6400 + sigma 16mm 1.4 and it's beautiful. I had struggle on getting this lens because some seller will give you a copy so watch out. always do your research before buying stuff. i read forums, comments on youtube, and asked people about this lens. i'm currently working on building my vlogging set up. i'm waiting on my other orders to finish my build. based on my experience and after watching tons of videos about this and the sony camera you don't need the stability on this lens. you just need a good hand technique. sony is not known for good stabilisation. you will need a gimbal to produce the stability that you want. you can produce that stability with proper hand technique but the gimbal make it easier for you.

    This is such a fantastic lens for indoor, street, landscape photography. It’s super sharp and fast AF. For portraits I’ll go for the 30mm 1.4 sigma.

      Why not 56mm f1.4?

    • @parvezalamm

      @@imranaftab6640 because its apsc lens and 30mm is equivalent to 50mm which is good focal length for portrait, i know 56mm is equivalent to 85 which is favorite focal foacl length for portrait photography but 30(50mm) is also very good and in low focal length you can keep shutter speed slow.

    Keep in mind you can also do a sensor zoom in camera that maintains good quality while effectively turning this into a 32mm lens or 48mm full-frame equivalent. So it can even be excellent for street and portrait photography. I have the 30mm sigma which I adore and know that I will love this one even more.

    Visually the lens is amazing, but for me, I find it a little big and heavy compared to other APS-C lenses. Also, if you are using the onboard mic for video, it will pick up the annoying AF motor noises of the lens. For photos or B-roll this doesn't matter so much and you can work around it by using an external audio recorder.

      Hi, in my opinion the problem with the second combo is the lack of a focal length in between. 16 is wide and 56 very tight. Add the Sony 35 (or the Sigma 30mm) and you have everything you need. Although I love my 16mm, the 35 is by far my most used lens....

      It really depends on your needs. Do you shoot a lot handheld and need OSS? Do you want to shoot close-ups of faces? In these cases the 35mm is the better choice. If your camera has IBIS and you want a lens to shoot travel videos or landscapes the 16mm is better.

My struggle is deciding on completing the trio with the 16mm or having a better low light video option in the 35mm with the OSS. Question!
    I have a Sony a6600 and also the this Lens the sigma 16 mm 1,4f but why doesn’t the “AF Tracking Sens” work??
    Anyone can help explain (I’m a noob)

  • @Tory9242

    Yes its a good len, cam + len = good quality, no more than 1800dollar, fair enough. If FF might be 4000dollar included len.

    I can't decide which lens, i'm between Sigma 16mm or Sony 10-18mm

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  4 роки тому

      Do you need the high aperture and the good minimum focus distance? With the Sigma you can get these cinematic shots with a blurry background. But the Sony can give you a much wider FOV and has stabilization for handheld shots.

    Sad you skipped the best one: A6300, you could've just said APSC
    PS: If you think the 16 is sharp, just try the 56! 😉

    Which gimbal were you recommended for 16 f1.4 ?

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  3 роки тому

      I personally use the Moza Aircross - it works fine. But I'm sure the Gimbals by Zhiyun and DJI will work fine as well

    Ciao avrei bisogno di un consulto se puoi, io ho una sony a 6400 e ho provato il sigma f1.4 ma mi risulta che l'innesto dell obiettivo è più piccolo, quindi incompatibile. Mi dai conferma? Ti ringrazio

    • @MountMediaChannel

      Ciao Sergio, forse hai preso la versione per MFT o quella per Canon e non per Sony E-Mount. Del Sigma ormai esistono tre versioni (per Canon, MFT e E-Mount). La versione E-Mount funziona perfettamente sulla Sony A6400. Saluti

      Probabilmente hai ragione. Qui c'è scritto SIGMA F1.4 DC DN - C CONTEMPORARI. FACCIO CHE RESTITUIRLO DOPO DI CHE LO ORDINO DAL TUO SITO. Sei stato molto gentile.Ti ringrazio.

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  4 роки тому

      Hi, no you don't need it any adapter to use this lens on the A6600. But be aware that there are different versions of this lens: Sony E-Mount, MFT and I think that they have released a version for the Canon M-Mount. For the A6600 you need the E-Mount lens.
