I haven’t finished this yet but theory: Chloe was in love with Rachel, every time Max and Chloe have a moment that seems deep or romantic she starts talking about Rachel. I think she was reminding herself not to fall for Max because Rachel was going to be found and that she still loved her.
*{SPOILERS}* I saw a theory that Rachel was manipulating Chloe to help her with stuff because Chloe is already in trouble for a lot. She was with frank for drugs, with Chloe for emotional support, and was like her mom (real mom, not rose) who was more interested in consistently partying and all than settling down. It breaks my heart because amberprice has held a stronger place in my heart than pricefield

Yea specially after playing before the storm. It really helped me get attached to Rachel. I get teary eyed everytime I see this part I think devs should make an "after the storm" version of this game, where max tries to warn Rachel by using her powers, tries to find out how her powers came into existence and save few people from Arcadia bay by going back to the time cuz Warren, Joyce, Frank and so many people don't deserve to die along with Chloe. LIS1 is the most sold out game in the franchise yet they never made any direct sequels of it

Which is a shame, considering caretakers are supposed to be as unobtrusive as possible, so they're supposed to be quiet and not taking up anyone's time so they do see a lot of things people don't.

After all the troubles Max went through about having to show evidence, did she never think to photograph the Dark Room or (while a bit morbid) Rachel's corpse? In other playthroughs, showing the principal a photo of David bullying Kate leads the principal to believe you, so characters in this story clearly are somewhat rational when faced with hard evidence.
What drove me nuts is when you only have the option to take a photo of David harassing Kate and upset her, or intervene to make her feel better but get no evidence. Why can’t I take a picture for evidence and then intervene?? Would solve multiple issues 🤦🏼♀️
Well Sure But the dark room and Rachel's corpse are physical things rather than moments and interactions. She can take someone to the dark room and prove that it exists If they were more rational and Chloe wasn't so pissed, they would've called the police when they found Rachel and immediately it would've been proven that her body was there. The photos would be a bit unnecessary for Max to take, especially when the police would've taken photos of it anyway for the police report.

As someone who deals with mental health issues, I just want to thank you for spreading awareness in your videos. I've seen multiple instances where you briefly pause and talk about these things. It's okay to not be okay, everybody needs help sometimes. We all need varying degrees of it in our day to day life and it's great that you're using this platform for not only entertainment but spreading positivity. When I played Life Is Strange, I actually let Chloe die. Not because I wanted her to, but it just honestly destroyed me to see her in so much pain. Plus, if I was in Chloe's shoes, I'd want the same to be done to me.

I think the ghost deer represents Rachel and her spirit animal and that she has been guiding Max the entire time to her body. Because, think about it, the deer guides you up to lighthouse in all the visions Max has, the deer is watching you at the junkyard in episode two and when you actually find her body the deer disappears like she can now be in peace now that somebody know that she's not actually missing and ran away.

I chose to help Chloe with the overdose. I have a very rare liver condition and chronic leukaemia, and have been through a lot with it. If things were ever that serious for me, I know I would want someone to be on my side. Plus I support assisted dying for those who are suffering anyway - it’s a tough topic though, so I understand why people wouldn’t!
i hear ya, i've always said i wish someone would end me if i became paralyzed or something, even when i was young and wasn't suffering that much, now i have multiple issues and conditions, and the more messed up i get, the more i think no one should be punished for helping to end someone's suffering when asked
I feel the same way. Everytime I rewatch this and Jack says we all agree to not accept her wish, I get very heated and annoyed. When my first pet was in critical injury at the vet, I wanted him to be euthanized to spare him further pain, and the same would go for any human companion in my life, including myself. I wouldn't want to burden my family anymore with a situation of my critical health.
Fr she was dying anyway and her pain was only going to get worse, Max giving her a painless, dignified, and quick death is the most humane option imo. Chloe had her own reasons, she wanted to go out on her own terms, helped by her best friend. It would also relieve the financial strain on William and Joyce, they were going to lose Chloe either way.

I do appreciate the fact that Sean has grown so much since this. I do love watching his videos, and have followed him for years, but now watching his older videos I'm finding myself cringing at some of the things he is saying. But at the same time when this video originally came out I may not have as many problems in what he says in these videos. I just really appreciate that he has grown into the understanding and welcoming man he is now.
You couldve had a peaceful exchange with frank i was legit screaming at the screen oml 😭😭 No one wouldve gotten hurt and he even gives you back the gun he took from chloe as a show of goodwill!
You just have to pick the right options that don't make him mad. Be super nice. Basically: Apologize. Say you were scared. Say you love dogs. Choose "Rachel photo" or "You know Rachel" Basically, Frank feels attacked and like you're hear to rob him/ feel entitled to his help and possessions and think you can tell him what to do. Don't give him any direct orders or demand anything (Sometimes that's hard to tell e.g. it says "No fight" vs "No weapons". But one is "I don't want to fight" vs "Put your weapon away", and the second one is obviously an order.). Appeal to his attachment to Rachel. Don't use any information that you wouldn't know if you hadn't broken into his RV earlier (e.g. Rachel's letter, gave dog a bone, "you already gave me the keys.") And don't try to justify things you did that he didn't like. E.g. in this case Jack screwed up by justifying Max trying to shoot him, instead of just saying "I was scared, I fucked up." Then he wound up with the "no fight"/"no weapons" combo and kept selecting "no weapons" because he didn't consider that Frank has no idea whether you have the gun or not, so why would that change anything?
Except he didn't take the gun in this playthrough, she still has it because Max tried to shoot him in episode 1. There was probably still a peaceful way to go about things though.
@@masterparker116 Personally, I don't think "these kind of people" was a good word choice here. Frank isn't a bad person. Sure he deals drugs, which a lot of people view as morally wrong, but really he's just doing what he needs to do to survive. There's also a chance of a criminal record, which would make it significantly harder for him to get a good job. I truly feel bad for him.
I know this series was out years ago but if anyone reads this I want people to know that I literally almost cried when Chloe wanted max to kill her, and when Max didn’t stop William. This reminds me of my dad, when he passed, except it was a natural cause, I was 8, and he was at work. I really feel this game. 🤧😭 Jack is awesome!
It hit me hard because her dad has the same name as mine, and he's more like Jefferson than William. I felt bad because I kind of envied Chloe for being able to love her father enough to mourn his death. Even if she lost the dad who loved her, she once had one, and I can't help but envy that. Like, why did it have to be *that* father? Why is it always the parents who actually love their child who end up dead?

Personally, I chose to go through with what Chloe wanted, but because you have the assurance you can go back in time and erase things, the decision doesn't effect the story. The entire situation is horrific. You're 100% correct about it not being Max's right to do it. Chloe gave her consent to do so, but Joyce and William at least deserved to have an intricate conversation about it since it's their daughter and their lives being dedicated to this. At the end of the day though, it *is* Chloe's decision, whether they like it or not. Excluding that, I'm with Chloe. In her situation (her condition being terminal), it won't get any better. It's a case where 'I'm miserable, my parents are miserable, our quality of lives of meager, debts are stacking up, I have to be trapped in my own body, incapable of movement with next to no personal agency. I'd rather go out on my own terms than prolong what is inevitable.' It's a person by person thing. Whilst many would choose not to draw out their suffering, I'm sure many others would prefer to see things to the end, no matter how painful.

Somehow, I knew it was Jefferson. It was fairly simple... 1. Nathan couldn't take the pictures with Kate on the ground. He wouldn't make it fast enough. 2. Victoria was next on the hitlist. Guess who just won the Everyday Heroes contest and gets to "fly out" with Mr. Jefferson. Yep, Victoria! 3. When Kate tried to talk to Jefferson in the hallway, he brushed her off. 4. A man was writing in the binders. It couldn't have been Nathan because he wears the same jacket everyday. The sleeve wasn't red. 5. Jefferson was too nice of a character and too close to his students. (Mainly Victoria) He tried to get cozy with Max but, it didn't work so he had to drug her because she had to be a victim. (That and she's the main character!) Simple. Or maybe I watch too many crime shows... meh.
This game demonstrates just how cruel and unfair the world can really be. Not every life is a fairy tale with a happily ever after. The world is a harsh place and this game does a good job of showing it.

After all the troubles Max went through about having to show evidence, did she never think to photograph the Dark Room or (while a bit morbid) Rachel's corpse? In other playthroughs, showing the principal a photo of David bullying Kate leads the principal to believe you, so characters in this story clearly are somewhat rational when faced with hard evidence.

When I played Life Is Strange, I actually let Chloe die. Not because I wanted her to, but it just honestly destroyed me to see her in so much pain. Plus, if I was in Chloe's shoes, I'd want the same to be done to me.

I think the ghost deer represents Rachel and her spirit animal and that she has been guiding Max the entire time to her body. Because, think about it, the deer guides you up to lighthouse in all the visions Max has, the deer is watching you at the junkyard in episode two and when you actually find her body the deer disappears like she can now be in peace now that somebody know that she's not actually missing and ran away.

I chose to help Chloe with the overdose. I have a very rare liver condition and chronic leukaemia, and have been through a lot with it. If things were ever that serious for me, I know I would want someone to be on my side. Plus I support assisted dying for those who are suffering anyway - it’s a tough topic though, so I understand why people wouldn’t!

I feel the same way. Everytime I rewatch this and Jack says we all agree to not accept her wish, I get very heated and annoyed. When my first pet was in critical injury at the vet, I wanted him to be euthanized to spare him further pain, and the same would go for any human companion in my life, including myself. I wouldn't want to burden my family anymore with a situation of my critical health.

Fr she was dying anyway and her pain was only going to get worse, Max giving her a painless, dignified, and quick death is the most humane option imo. Chloe had her own reasons, she wanted to go out on her own terms, helped by her best friend. It would also relieve the financial strain on William and Joyce, they were going to lose Chloe either way.

You just have to pick the right options that don't make him mad. Be super nice. Basically:
Apologize.
Say you were scared.
Say you love dogs.
Choose "Rachel photo" or "You know Rachel"
Basically, Frank feels attacked and like you're hear to rob him/ feel entitled to his help and possessions and think you can tell him what to do.
Don't give him any direct orders or demand anything (Sometimes that's hard to tell e.g. it says "No fight" vs "No weapons". But one is "I don't want to fight" vs "Put your weapon away", and the second one is obviously an order.).
Appeal to his attachment to Rachel.
Don't use any information that you wouldn't know if you hadn't broken into his RV earlier (e.g. Rachel's letter, gave dog a bone, "you already gave me the keys.")
And don't try to justify things you did that he didn't like.
E.g. in this case Jack screwed up by justifying Max trying to shoot him, instead of just saying "I was scared, I fucked up." Then he wound up with the "no fight"/"no weapons" combo and kept selecting "no weapons" because he didn't consider that Frank has no idea whether you have the gun or not, so why would that change anything?
Except he didn't take the gun in this playthrough, she still has it because Max tried to shoot him in episode 1. There was probably still a peaceful way to go about things though.

@@masterparker116 Personally, I don't think "these kind of people" was a good word choice here. Frank isn't a bad person. Sure he deals drugs, which a lot of people view as morally wrong, but really he's just doing what he needs to do to survive. There's also a chance of a criminal record, which would make it significantly harder for him to get a good job. I truly feel bad for him.

It hit me hard because her dad has the same name as mine, and he's more like Jefferson than William. I felt bad because I kind of envied Chloe for being able to love her father enough to mourn his death. Even if she lost the dad who loved her, she once had one, and I can't help but envy that. Like, why did it have to be *that* father? Why is it always the parents who actually love their child who end up dead?

while i am all for euthanasia in the case of terminally deteriorating illnesses, i did agree with what max said about her not having any right to do that; chloe’s parents had invested so much emotionally and financially to support chloe and it doesn’t seem right that max should make that decision after everything they devoted. plus max would be charged with manslaughter right which aint cool
@@casamity6755 - Honestly, that's a *really* good point. Personally, I chose to go through with what Chloe wanted, but because you have the assurance you can go back in time and erase things, the decision doesn't effect the story.
The entire situation is horrific. You're 100% correct about it not being Max's right to do it. Chloe gave her consent to do so, but Joyce and William at least deserved to have an intricate conversation about it since it's their daughter and their lives being dedicated to this. At the end of the day though, it *is* Chloe's decision, whether they like it or not.
Excluding that, I'm with Chloe. In her situation (her condition being terminal), it won't get any better. It's a case where 'I'm miserable, my parents are miserable, our quality of lives of meager, debts are stacking up, I have to be trapped in my own body, incapable of movement with next to no personal agency. I'd rather go out on my own terms than prolong what is inevitable.'
It's a person by person thing. Whilst many would choose not to draw out their suffering, I'm sure many others would prefer to see things to the end, no matter how painful.

Somehow, I knew it was Jefferson. It was fairly simple...
1. Nathan couldn't take the pictures with Kate on the ground. He wouldn't make it fast enough.
2. Victoria was next on the hitlist. Guess who just won the Everyday Heroes contest and gets to "fly out" with Mr. Jefferson. Yep, Victoria!
3. When Kate tried to talk to Jefferson in the hallway, he brushed her off.
4. A man was writing in the binders. It couldn't have been Nathan because he wears the same jacket everyday. The sleeve wasn't red.
5. Jefferson was too nice of a character and too close to his students. (Mainly Victoria) He tried to get cozy with Max but, it didn't work so he had to drug her because she had to be a victim. (That and she's the main character!)
Simple. Or maybe I watch too many crime shows... meh.
