The example canal shown here, what would be possible output of it? Would a stream this size be suitable? It would be great if you could share what size turbine for suit this particular stream!
The owner will be adding a weir to this so he'll have a higher head difference. With the extra head he'll be making 5kW from this. Enough for his house energy use and his heat pump heating system.

You kind of skipped over measuring the cross-sectional area. Is it W times the *average* of H1 H2 and H3?

Yes, these turbines work at max 4m.
