    Excellent information, well written, visual presentations are excellent and strongly related. Your automated voice over, another robot, needs a lot of work. Next time, get a real person that can speak an English narration with interest.

      Wave Star Machines and similar wave energy converters are a fascinating development in renewable energy. The way they can capture the rhythm of the sea to generate electricity is not just a technical achievement, but also somewhat poetic. It's like turning the ocean's natural dance into usable energy, making the most out of a resource that's in constant motion. 🌊⚡

    Le rendement d'une vis sans fin à demi immergé est-il meilleur que celui d'une hélice ? J'en doute car y'a plus de frottement.

    Pumped hydro is an amazing way of storing renewable energy and releasing it when needed, but it has to be built in natural depressions in the geography. The amount of CO2 emitted to build reservoirs of Taum Sauk out of concrete means that won't be green for decades, if ever, considering ongoing repairs needed etc.

    • @LALSHOW
      @LALSHOW  Рік тому

      Pumped Hydro Storage is effective for storing large amounts of energy and has a long lifespan. However, it requires specific geographical features and its construction can be carbon-intensive. A holistic environmental assessment is vital for each project.

    The "turbulent turbine" makes a pretty swirl, but both turbulence and friction are energy sinks -- and this design has lots of both.
    Turbulence turns energy into heat via unproductive eddy currents -- that energy is unavailable to the turbine.
    The water at 1:00 has more interactions with the containing walls than necessary. And it is doing so at high speed, which makes more friction.
    I am skeptical that pre-swirl going into a turbine is a good thing for efficiency.

      Pretty sure they researched and tested variables; otherwise, it would never have gone into production. Note that said generator was developed and built in Western Europe and not somewhere else where they often don't do enough research and testing before digging in nature.
      Just look at the Tom Sauk installation; the amount of concrete to build that has caused so much CO2 emissions, it's highly unlikely it will ever be carbon neutral.

    2:05 There is soething wrong with the sated specification for the 'Open Hydro' power generation. It stated is was 53 meters in diameter. That corresponds to 174 feet. Neither the one shown at 2:04 (with a person sanding in front of it), nor the one shown at 2:08 (with a walkway in front of it and the ship's command bridge in front) is 174 feet in diameter. I'd say the second (larger one) perhaps has a circumference of 53 meters. It definitely is not 53 meters in diameter.

    Each bridge that spans rivers and tidal estuaries can be used to generate green energy in hydro turbines at the foundations at the front and rear of the seabed supports.

    ALL of these "zero-emission systems" require a lot of emissions to build them! If the power output of the system is Po, then how much energy Ein did it take to construct it and haul it to its final destination? How long is the payback period, which is Ein/Po???

    Micro-"solutions". I recommend watching the docu "Switch" here on yt. You realize that the required energy-scales are orders of magnitudes "above" these geadgets.
