    Love this! I can’t wait to go back to Taiwan too! Ughh...
    Glad Taiwan is the gold standard for fighting against COVID19. Their numbers are incredibly low so healthy people should be reassured.

    I was scheduled to be in Taiwan this week but due to Covid-19 I had postponed it to September (keeping fingers crossed). I agree that Taiwan is probably the nicest country I have visited, locals are amazing friendly and food is super delicious!

    I would replace "Ting bu dong" (don't understand) with "Deng yi sha" (wait a moment). If you don't understand, you can just shake your head and say "I don't understand" in your native language and everyone will get that you don't understand. "Wait a moment" is useful when you don't understand and you want to get your phone to check something, or you need time to think (which happens A LOT when you're in a foreign country) sometimes you just need to get out some money or something, but the person you're talking to doesn't know if you've given up or what you're about to do.

    I appreciate that you kept the phrases as simple as possible. For example you gave us the word for bathroom on its own rather than a full sentence about the bathroom. Although I'd love to be able to say complete sentences, realistically I'll be happy to just get one word out. Thank you!

    • @kittiekong3528
      @kittiekong3528 4 роки тому +1

      Yeah. Last time I was there: "Boba" isn't even a word in Taiwan. What we would refer to as "Boba milk tea" is "Pearl milk tea (or 珍珠奶茶/ jen ju nai cha)" and they are usually sold in tea stores
