Suzukis are fun to work on. My first bike was an old 1974 Suzuki TM125. I got the bike in parts that was in a box. I was very young and had no one to tell me how to put it together. With a torque wrench, a few socket wrenches and a 3rd party manual I had the bike together and running within a couple of weeks. That bike lasted a year until I got a ‘77 RM100, then a ‘78 CR250. Loved the Honda, but found the Suzukis easier to deal with. I’ve ridden several RMs since then but now ride a Suzuki SV1000s. Love it!
This is awesome! How did I miss this back when you first posted it? Thanks for the shoutout and kind words. We will get to work on the challenge. Thanks, Steve!
🤣😂🤣 you found it... Yeah around the time I published this video I was having trouble with UA-cam and was not getting notifications from my favorite UA-cam channel's it seems to be okay now you may have had similar experiences....
Brilliant mate love it! ❤️ You picked some really good clips to run in there too, all came together perfectly. Well done and thanks for the explanations 👌
Thanks for the review ! I love all dirt bikes, I personally have a Husqvarna FE250 but my very first bike was a Suzuki ! I think I may have to get another one ;) RM Army let’s go!!
Got a 2015 rmz450 it’s my 7th bike and I’ve never liked a bike so much. Had Hondas love em, yz, kx never had a bike so easy to ride on the track than the rmz. It is the newest bike I’ve had tho maybe that’s why
My son at 15 just picked up a 01 RM125 for me to rebuild lol and Im glad I found your videos on your 03. I used to ride dirt in my teens and 20's and now that hes shown interest this RM will be a father son build and get us both out on the track and maybe another project for me to ride.
good video mate! Love to see the footage with kids, such a great time once youngsters start to ride ;) those trails looks really good, I keep telling you to get light 2 stroke for that, I think you will enjoy it so much more, I did 300 vs 350 video recently and 300 was soo much better for all the technical stuff. You seem to ride a lot of technical on your 450. Can you street legal 2 stroke in Aus?
Thanks Rado. Yes I agree with you on the 2 stroke and you can rego them in Australia but I'm not in the market for a new bike at the moment. I did watch that video you made 300 v 350 but I think I would prefer the 350 I find 4 stroke dirt bike better if your not a fit rider like me lol...
I am also a Suzuki fan, I own a 2010 RMX450Z,2015 RMZ250 and 2 Suzuki road bikes, they have always been reliable and very easy to work on,cheers from another Aussie
Great reasons, I’m looking at branching out to dirt bikes as well and yeah, going with something that’s very droppable! I’ll be watching for next vids. 👍
Thanks for the run down. I was so close to buying a 2015 RMX, the dealer had dropped it to $10,000 ride away! If I didn’t t have other financial priorities at that time it would be in my shed now lol. Love the Suzies 👍
I totally agree by friend I whiskey throttled my 98 KX250 2 stroke and needed ACL surgery on my knee I am 43 with a wife and two children so I sold the KX and also bought a rmz250 perfect amount of power to have fun on but not worried about whiskey throttling and hurting myself to the point I can't work to support my family I love my decision on buying the RMZ 250 4 stroke
I love rm250 2strokes and 125.. Def great bikes i think after having one and seeing a few others treated well and no big hassle. All brands have there own little problems to deal with but ya.. Il take one esp! the late years of the 2strokes rm250s.
01-07 rm125 is hands down the best bike I've ever had my leg over before. I've owned multiple Suzukis and other bikes and none of them ever came close to as good. Not even my 04 rm250, great on trails but my local track is too small for a 250 2t/450f
The Suzuki is a GREAT bike, I would love to find a good deal on one. I used to ride 2 stoke back in the 70's and after 40 years of no riding, I wanted to get back into it on a 4 stroke and found a 2013 Husky TXC 310 R with only 12 hours for $2500. I couldnt be happier, but still looking for a Suzuki 450, street legal bike. Thanks for your vid
Great Video! I am an RMZ guy myself currently on a 2017 RMZ250 and I love it. Only problem with the RMZ is they are hard to find in my area. I just started making some videos of myself check them out when you get a second!
2007 Rm-z here, one of the last ones ever they sold with a carburator! Am- Am i in the gang now? Yayy! :D No for real tho. what do you (and the commenters) think is the best and possibly cheapest way to make and tune my rmz250 to be more suitable for not ridina any motocross or on a track and more for 'in the thick forests of finland and dirt/tractor roads. the day I got the bike , it already had an expensive , full titanium made akrapovic exaust pipe and muffler and (of coursee the last owner threw the db killer away and i dont know what to put in there to make it a little quieter it is TOO LOUD!!) and i guess it you can almost FEEL the added power that it brings but sadly its mostly only felt in the higher rpms where the pipe shines, I THINK. it is very hard to ride it in technical terrain since its a motocross bike so it needs to have the rpms somewhat high all the time so it wont stall/stump on every fallen log etc. and I KNOW, smaller front sprocket or larger rear one would make it easier but in my opinion the bike kinda already seems like it is geared too short and bangs trough all the 5 gears almost too fast already. so what could i do to the suspension and and low end power to make it more comfortable ro ride innawoods? Also i had no idea these biks are SO TALL! i can bareely lif my leg over it whenim mounting it and then i kinda have to balance&switch one foot(toes almost) at a time to keep not falling over and Im over 176cm (5 Feet, 9.2913 Inches). Any tips would be very much welcome. Also, EXELLENT video showing and tellin what u mean.
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback. If you're riding hard trails I'd gear it down and soften the suspension put hand guards and skid plate on it. The RMZ250 is a good bike but it's always going to be a motocross bike.
@@BrokenSprocketThank you but I have one more question if you dont mid. Hand guards I do have already. and yeah i guess motocross bike is always gonna motocross :D. But do you have any experience with those extra Flywheel Weights? I heard you can buy them from somewhere and it is supposed to be an easy thing to install. you just kinda "clamp" it on after you youve opened the the magneto cover. Isnt that kind of thing supposed to make the bike not so easy to stall? :O or is it going to eat ALL my acceleration away because of that?
I’m looking at a rmz or rmx. Is the rmx geared good and rev less for woods riding? I also raced Hare scramble races years ago. I want to ride with my boys also. Thanks for the video.
@@BrokenSprocket That's awesome. Yea these 2 strokes have so much power. I used to ride about 10 yrs ago and recently my wife bought me the bike. And suzuki actually also fell into my lap.

Suzuki = good value for money 🤔👌🏻👍
I saved lots of $$$ on that RMX450Z
Yep 👍
I’m looking at RM-Z250 cause I noticed that they are much more affordable than the other brands. Good to hear they are easier to ride as well.
