I just bought a similar ebike for $999 dollars. Its the auloor 750w ebike from Amazon. Its great for the price 4inch fat tire, same everything on this bike but it doesn't have that nice screen. It has a decent screen I wish it'll have this one. I get it to go 28mph and i have about 21miles on it and battery still reads about 85%.
I wear a full face helmet when going full speed on my bike, provides good noise isolation and privacy. Of course want the protection in case of a crash as well
FYI: When mopeds were starting out and then eventually became everywhere ...it feels the e-bike craze is getting to be that way too --AND the fear of e-bikes developing the stigma will also become a reality. That's why I want to point out that when it came to mopeds, the reason why certain brands(like Ice Bear) weren't any good, is because they didn't have to be regulated by any type of standards. Why? ...because while the moped frames were developed by 1 company, the motors were build by 2 separate companies, and that's how they're able to bypass certain regulations & standards --thus the ability to put out crap-quality on the market. And IMO it feels that it's starting all over again when it comes to e-bikes and e-bike conversions. But something occurred to me when I was watching tv the other night. I was watching BattleBots and given how much the Bots weight & such ...I wondered if the companies and their tech could be used for an e-bike platform.
I like the form factor and the ability to fold the ebike makes sense. I have a similar ebike but with real full two suspension for the rear. Mine does 22 miles per hour (on a 48v 10AH battery) and motor is just 350w. I just wish I could fold it so I can easily transport it.
Seeing the steering column be bent forward is really disconcerting ! its interesting to see the trends that are emerging, this bike seems to try and do everything, be fat tire, folding, cargo transporting, off road etc. In the UK wide tyre ebikes are rare and the most common bikes are 250w with narrow to medium tire sizes, some people also have electric mountain bikes, in general the top e-bikes here are unaffordable to young people and so e-scooters are much more common to see.
What a nice bike it's good to see the suspension on this!!! Its an improvement on the similar LectricXp I can understand why it costs 500 Dollars more!!! I think its worth the money
Most of these are rebranded bikes bought from Alibaba. Just change the logo, add some different parts, and charge double or even triple that amount. The only plus side is maybe the warranty.
There's some factory in China that makes millions of these things and bunch of different distributors put different labels for their brands. The rear suspension looks like some cobbled up crap that is going to self destruct and not be able to get serviced .
Yes, exactly. I was reading the viewers comments and my concern like you, is where do you get replacement parts if needed. No one seems to care about that now-a-days for some reason. So, what good is it, if you can not get a much needed part ?

The problem I have with most of these bikes is that for the price point, it should have at least a 21 amp hour battery if not more. Most people want to long distance ride an e-bike as expensive as they are, and the range on this one like the others is no good.

@@hamster377 yes very easy. Controllers are classified first by the battery voltage, secondly by how many amps it can push to the motor (assuming your battery can handle). Any folding fat tire ebike priced below $1400 is too cheap and too cheaply made, so best to avoid it altogether. Something like the Lectric brand is too cheap and nothing but massive trouble. People don’t realize what real costs are for decent quality and so they buy on lowest first price. They soon regret that decision. Most of these firms pricing their folding fat tire ebikes that have at least 590 watt motors and 12 ah batteries at 48 volts, below $1400 and selling them on line will be most certainly out of business within a few years of going live. Here in 2022 and definitely in 2023 you will a massive shake out, with many of these on line ebike firms going belly up. I’ll buy 3 XP lite for the price of 1 sondor and will use 3 to make at least 1 work until I have no parts lol if I have to.
'Massive trouble,' really? Do you have a Lectric because mine has been fine close to a year now? There are apparently thousands of happy riders on them proven by the FB communities.
Buy a 1kw hub motor and a 52v 28ah battery for about 700...800 inc quid and get any old scrap bike and diy . Fat tyres are a terrible power drainer too .
looks like you use very little pedal assist and got about 22 miles with 20% battery left. Can you still pedal when battery die? I heard that there are some eBike cannot be pedaled when battery is dead, it needs battery to unlock the gear or something.
Mine is delivered at my summer place, but I won't see it for a week to ten days. Is there room on the handlebars to strap one of those 1000 lumen bike headlights? Mine is an M6. Looking at the products, what is needed is a free one inch of bar that is horizontal, so the light is aimed forward.
I was one of the first eople to get a Lektrix XP. I paid 899. am alog way from wearing it out. The only problem I ever had was egtting them to give me a luggage rack that didnt bang on the fender. ANd couple flats. Until I slimed the last fix. But thats not their fault. Mine will get 28, but you gotta work. I wonder why they are still giving us those lame deraileurs. Everybody keeps them set on one gear. Mineis set on 5. I never change it. What good is it? I would love to see an electric with an auto trans, and replace the chain.
Awesome review, Reviews are great so you can see it b4 u buy it. But I hate how every time a yt vid comes out with a review on a thing, that thing almost instantly increases in price by almost 25% or more
Im loving the idea of an ebike but am left with questions. One can you legally ride these on sidewalks, Park trails etc? What happens when the battery eventually dies? In the short term replacements may be available but in say 2-3+ years these dime a dozen chinese brands might go out of business and then what? Did you just buy the heaviest $1500 peddle bike? Lastly how come the cable management hangs so far out to the left of the handlebar? Seems like they could've shortened them up like a normal bike?
I opted for just buying one after watching a 2k mile reciew from another chanel. He had his 8 months with no issues. Polarna seems to have good customer support and has been around for some years now. I just took the jump. As for legality it all depends on your location, its set at a municipal level, my city (San Antonio) seems to limit it to 750w or less, and California has similar classes
Most of the bikes are built from the same factory in China. The sellers here in US are configured the bikes using different components (made in different countries) and resell to people in US to make profit on top of it. Eventually, we all make China rich. 🤣
Have you looked at the Accolmile Rhino 1000w? It has a BBSHD mid motor what peaks at 160Nm what can propel the bike to 60kmh/37mph and a range of up to 150km with its 48v 17.5ah battery. It has hydraulic brakes, front and rear suspension, 20x4 fat tyres and I feel may be slightly larger to the one you are reviewing here. With the improved efficiency of the BBSHD hills should become a joy.
@HiTMAN Well, I've a BBSHD on my commuter bike. It's a bit overkill, but I *always* arrive on time, with a big smile. Maintenance is a big issue though. The engine in general is pretty reliable, but it's having its weak spots like the controller integrated into the engine, the nylon gear, that very annoying mounting plate, the threads in the axle and to a lesser extent the clutch. It also consume the entire chainring-cassette-chain set within 2000-2300 km.
I went to the Polarna website, does anyone know the difference between the M5 and M6? The information on the website the Motor and the battery are the same.

@@pickledpeppers1577 Good luck. If your battery is sh*t like mine, you have just purchased an expensive ornament, POLARNA SUCKS! My M5 has been INOP for about 6 months. (Worked for about 1 month) !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!
I now have upgraded from my first 750w M4 to a 3000w peaked, dual wheel drive AR Grizzly. I don't recommend going to this beast if you've never ridden an ebike before. Probably would've killed myself. I still have the M4 and probably won't sell. Using it for guests. The upside-down M5 on the frame on one side is tacky. The change in charging plug placement may be a downgrade if the battery doesn't have a charge port. I bought an extra battery and charges one up while riding. The placement of the rear monoshock is an improvement since it eliminated the weak dual rocker arms of the previous versions. It caused the bike to flex too much in sharp turns. They may have tweaked the hub motor to produce a little more torque. My top speed when unlocked is on average 27-28 mph at peaked charge and would get around 16 miles range on one battery with mostly throttle riding with a 10%-15% reserves for battery longevity. Also noticed the rear rack has a weaker design due to moving the monoshock. You wouldn't want to carry more than 50 lbs anyway. It causes the M4 front end to shudder at high speed. It's a good starter ebike. My M4 is a good bike still with it's Tannus Armor liners and upgraded tires and the 11-32T flywheel sprocket for better pedaling assistance at higher and lower gear range to increase speed and lower my pedaling cadence.

looks like you use very little pedal assist and got about 22 miles with 20% battery left.
Dang ... I like this one too.... This bike vs. the "Hey E-bike'" which would you go with....? Thanks for the reviews...
POLARNA stole $1469 from me. M5 STILL NOT WORKING 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!
@@jonnyquong wow.... Sorry to hear that... I've heard of a lot of problems with this company... I'm glad I didn't buy one ....
Can you go into the settings and adjust things to get more mph ?
I was one of the first eople to get a Lektrix XP. I paid 899. am alog way from wearing it out. The only problem I ever had was egtting them to give me a luggage rack that didnt bang on the fender. ANd couple flats. Until I slimed the last fix. But thats not their fault. Mine will get 28, but you gotta work. I wonder why they are still giving us those lame deraileurs. Everybody keeps them set on one gear. Mineis set on 5. I never change it. What good is it? I would love to see an electric with an auto trans, and replace the chain.
me and my wife got aostirmotor a20 500w 36v 12.6 ah and get 25 to 26 mph
Isn't there some unlock procedure to make it go faster?
I would love to know how it works on the beach considering I live in Sarasota Florida and would love to go from the street to the beach
How does this compare to the kreboc? Would either do ok in the woods?
You need 1000 watt motor minimum with 48 volt and 18-20 ah for power and range
Bro, do all these companies just rebrand? Someone clarify lol. I’m looking for an e-bike… lots of info
Pretty much. Haha. Some design their own stuff, but those are usually really expensive.
Awesome review, Reviews are great so you can see it b4 u buy it. But I hate how every time a yt vid comes out with a review on a thing, that thing almost instantly increases in price by almost 25% or more
Wouldn’t installing separate triple or double A batteries into the light assemblies improve on the main battery life?
They’re so marginal that it’s way better to not have that extra complexity and cost
need just this with more range
Great looking bike but does the company carry bikes for folks over 400 lbs??
Very nice bike and video.
Nice but what is the weight limit ??🤗love the folding bike! I weight 225 and 65 years old
I'm sure you'd be fine!
Hallo, this bike for Germany ???
Inja my polarna bike M5 ; i see error code 21 y need to fix please help me
Im loving the idea of an ebike but am left with questions.
This is almost a carbon copy of my Wallke X3 Pro which I love, just with smaller tires (X3 has 26inch tires) and some little upgrades. Nice review!
Mid drive is pointless for commuter bikes..hub drive is better for flat ground
@@rsxhitman Fair comment unless you live in an area with lots of hills. Mid drive is better for larger people as can use gears to power uphill.
It also consume the entire chainring-cassette-chain set within 2000-2300 km.
they most of tuned it down...looking at the bike on their page they claim 40km/ 24mph now and a 16.5ah battery
Did you get another Mercedes?
I went to the Polarna website, does anyone know the difference between the M5 and M6? The information on the website the Motor and the battery are the same.
M6 has 5 levels of pedal assist and M5 has 3.
@@Coltonnuu you're the man! 🙏💪✌️
How long does it take to charge up? Can you get a spare battery if needed and does the motor assist when peddling or throttle only?
A Kaisda K2 with rear suspension? Has it got the 500 motor or the 250?
Great Clip / GREAT review !, BUT: "Down the line" ............... let's say I need a NEW Battery ... how much are they ? , and also: I've read that IF they Model specific (or "proprietary"), that THAT is when your "screwed" ... IOW: dole out the big bucks !, any info here is appr. ?.
This is probably a pretty standard battery, there are tons of this same design eBike on the market. :)
Probably as simple as looking up the battery part number and getting a new one for a few hundred dollars if it does on you.
@@TheInja Read about "probably" too ... (read the reviews on Amazon on "a-typical" E Bikes). :- ( *I'm really wanting to order one of these, as I'm getting tired of looking / amid all the "Suprise warnings" that are always alongside "anything and everything I'm reading about". Thought: I'm 6' 4" @ 278 Lbs, ... would "you" say this bike might be a possible 'fit' for me, or would you / could you recommend something I can ride ?, IOW: "I'd invest in this and this" / "and THEN get that one" / kind of a thing ... I REALLY appr. your input / I'm gonna Sub You !. BEST
@@TheInja Gotcha. I think I'm going to do the "M6". Thx. again.
How do you remove the battery? I bought one and can't figure it out! 😁
Weight?
that's the older version, the 2022, is the M6 pro, w a 1000w 15mah @$1,399
It looks to be almost the same bike at the Jasion EB7, except for the larger motor, slightly larger battery, different wheels and perhaps a few other higher spec components. All told, is that worth the $500 difference?
LOL the M5 Sticker upside down on one side oopps! Just bought the M5 with the 1000Watt Hub and 17.5AH battery today on Amazon Canada! I hope mine is Matt Black because it said Black when I ordered it? Is there an actual Black and Matt Black?
shame u dont ship to ireland.. nice bike for old guy in a country spot, up the village to do groceries an pop in the local post office
Can I get a second Battery, were would I find it?
do you work with any company that sponsors you?
How much difference is it between the M4 M5 M6 compare all three of them together at same time
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide}
AND ooo not bad....for a little one..!
would this be good doordash and do i need a driver license ? and also how long does the battery last for
Yeah it would work!
Do I need a driver license I stay in California so I wanna make sure I do before buying it
I'm looking at the M6. am I too big at 6'2 250 ? Later how easy to maintain and find parts in the US? Possible to fit this folded in the passenger seat of a van?
Great bike and video, Thanks INJA 💥 I love Polarna and ordered an M4 scam. Finally got a refund from Amazon. So, I opted for the $849 G-Force T42 copy of the Lectric step-over which has : 750/1100 motor, 20A controller, bigger battery, tires, forks and top speed. Also 4 pounds heavier... My plan is to add a mid drive Bafang when the hub motor dies... Step-over model is made for it! Step-thru model, not so much.
Youd be smart to plan on GDSE bikes failing
@@Distortic I already have plans when this drive train fails... Did you read my post?
anyone having battery issues? all the sudden my polarna battery drains from 100 down to 55 in a matter of minutes and im on mode 1 the whole time.? anyone know how to fix this?
Didn't you have that bike already? (GDS)?
I think that was a lower end model variant ... M4 vs the M5 in this review
@@sebt9530 ah, I yes I see, I went back and looked at his old video.
@@BoardwalkBullies yep!
How much is the E bike
Sharp looking folding EBIKE. 😍. I've been thinking getting a lectric brand for $1,000 but this one for $1,500 looks better
Look up the luna eclipse
@@moneymike787 I looked it up and they are ugly
Be sure to check your state's laws for motorized bikes
Ordered a M6 with the 1000W 17ah battery, can't wait.
@@pickledpeppers1577 Good luck. If your battery is sh*t like mine, you have just purchased an expensive ornament, POLARNA SUCKS! My M5 has been INOP for about 6 months. (Worked for about 1 month) !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!
Same platform as the Lectric?
I’m not a fan of the thumb throttle, how difficult is it to replace it with the half twist throttle?
I can't imagine it'd be too hard.
How hard is it to get used to the throttle on the left side?
Nice bike, but the throttle on the left would take some getting used to.
With proper maintenance how many miles u think it’d last ???
Can you adjust the PAS levels? Many bikes ship with 3, but allow you to have 5 levels.
Great video mate cheers 👍
how would it do on hills without pedal assist?
