Not a bad job for your first time and being only 19, only thing I would suggest is to put a layer or 2 of crystal clear spar varnish to protect the paint from fouling in the water

did the paint stick to the flex seal or did it peel later

It peeled in a few spots that I had to patch up, but besides that, it’s been sticking fairly well.
