Man this video showed me a lot, like if I plan on putting my pups in the back under the RTT I'll have to skip out on the Decked system. The RIGD tire carrier is sweet, I was looking at WilcoOffroad. Is that a winch mount it bumper and do you get any wobble from the swingarm?

@@matthewpvincent I’ve been running an MSA drop slide for many years. Not cheap, but super functional. Just a tip for you, that I didn’t figure out for myself for quite a while after I got mine: when you’re lifting the fridge back up, unclip the handle from the vertical position, and pull it forward and push down on it to lever up the fridge. It’s a lot less awkward than when doing it as you did in the vid. What model Dometic is it that you’re running? Just subscribed. Cheers.

Man I just started looking into truck builds for camping and recognized you from the video you did showing Jim Wendler’s home gym. Badass setup. Do you have the larger fuel tank on your tundra? And what kind of mpg’s are you getting with the extra weight/tires/etc?
I did the larger with long range America upping to 50gal.

Great Tundra build! I also have a Tundra, what gas mileage are you now getting with all the weight? Any thoughts on a video on what you have set up on the inside? Like do you have a sPOD running all the lights, winch, etc? And what radios and antennas are you using for comms?

What is that slide and what model fridge?
How you liking the Tundra for a camping/overland rig vs something smaller like a Tacoma. I'm assuming you have buddies with smaller rigs and if you see things they have or can do that you like more
Nah no complaints. Never had any issue with my rig i like the bigger size and engine
We priced the same camper shell for our tundra but when I asked the dealer if the weight rating of 550lbs is the static or dynamic weight rating they didn't have an answer. Any chance you know? Between a RTT and my family of 4 we are at 550 lbs and my kids are only gonna get bigger lol. Tia.

I’m getting into overlanding, and off-road more so I’m looking at a Rav4 to get I know I know soccer mom. But watching so many videos I see the Toyota Tacoma,4 runner Jeep are the main off-roading and overlanding vehicles . Are tundras not good for it just out of curiosity. Because down the line after my Rav4 looking at a Tacoma to get.
Might be better off with a first gen highlander, they'll handle minor offroad surprisingly well. For more serious stuff you'll want a body on frame like a truck. People usually choose Tacoma's because of the short wheelbase, you get caught up on a lot less stuff and its easier to get around on tight trails.
Tundras are huge and get terrible fuel economy.
Most trails are a bit narrow as well. I’m not getting too deep off road mainly longer fire roads

Mine is at about 11.6mpg with 35x12.5x18's, should note that my truck has aftermarket armor on it so that doesn't help
Fabian Molina on the highway, i should be able to get 13/14 mpg? Running 35s and a camper shell.

Simply for me was where I could get to for camping. A lot of everything sites are loaded with kids and noise that’s not my cup of tea. However i haven’t ever done an RV. I also like cause it’s ready to go.
