    I love the cleanness of the build. I've seen some people be happy with casually bolting on the light switches & everything in a functional utilitarian way without integrating but there's something satisfying about seeing these videos & looking in the truck & everything looks like it was installed by the factory

    Toyo tires are great. I've been running them on a Ford Bronco for about a year now with no problems and great off-road performance. They did so well, my pops switched from 39.5 Super Swamper Irocs to some 37 Toyos. They're doing well for him too. Sick build guys!

    I mounted my viar tank in roughly the same spot, but further to the front of the vehicle in that location. It allows you to put your spare tire back under the bed. I know a 33" fits there like that anyway.

    • @TAVLLC
      @TAVLLC  5 років тому

      A 33" tire is the max tire size you can put back under your bed. This truck is running a 35" tire.

    • @SgtHolmes
      @SgtHolmes 5 років тому +1

      @@TAVLLC Kinda figured that. A 33 is pushing it with the space towards the tow hitch. Is there a particular reason to have 2 air systems? Reliability maybe? I was thinking of getting air lockers and just using my onboard air I already have.

    I have a 2015 sr5 plus double cab with the trd off road package in Canada. Wondering if you are able to do the newer tundra's with the TSS system and calibrate everything. i was gonna trade but then they said you couldn't lift the trucks with TSS but some dealers had lifted 2018's so not sure. Anyways nice video of an already capable rugged truck but better. So far 90000 kilometers with oil changes, tire rotations, recommended maintenance checks and 4 prairie cold winters.

What method did you do on this build to calibrate the new tire and wheel size. I did measure my MPH, and found that I’m only about 1-2 MPH off on what the speedometer is saying and shifting seems to be good, no lagging. • @TAVLLC
      @TAVLLC  5 років тому

      It all depends on where you want you're RPM range to be while on the highway and what you'll be doing with the truck. The very first thing you do to a stock vehicle will effect the MPG. You can gain some of your MPG's back if everything is addressed properly like speedometer calibration, gearing, tire pressures and wind resistance but you'll never return to stock numbers. A 4.56 with a 35 works really well. You can also go 4.88 with a 35 if you'll be pulling a trailer or running heavy. On 37's we'll run 4.88 or 5.29 for the same reasons.

      You can't legally raise the tow or payload limit of a truck. Whatever the door jam says is what you're stuck with. No half ton truck is rated to pull a 40' trailer, that's 3/4 or 1 ton territory, may not need a dually.

    looks good, but why get a trd pro and switch out everything that makes a trd pro?

    • @TAVLLC
      @TAVLLC  4 роки тому

      Because the TRD pro is a trim package. The only things we changed were the shocks and wheels. The TRD pro consists of interior trim, color, grill, badging and so on. There is far more to the TRD pro than just the shocks.

      Tactical Application Vehicles thanks for the reply. Love your work. I have an 18 4x4 crew max and would love to do long travel, but this tow rig is more realistic for my use and better suits my budget. Thanks for your vids. Look forward to seeing more👊🏻
