I've had to cut down some beautiful Privet recently building a shed for solar equipment. Nice big bushes I really hated to cut. More to go before I'm done.... Can't really call myself a beek anymore. Got one big hive that I haven't harvested in about 6 years. Diabetic and can't have it but love having the girls around. They swarmed twice within a couple of weeks. Both about 4 lbs worth. The first I didn't bother with the second I grabbed and put in a box and they are off to the races. Guess I needed to replace the one that I had in front of the house. Keeps the salesmen and doo gooders away.
