We work on quite a few water to water heat pumps that heat hot tanks and run to hot water coils for air handlers and radiant floor heat. Essentially an electric boiler. Interesting stuff
In Germany most people use gas or oil condensing boilers and have huge convection "Plattenheizkörper" or coils in the grout if the floor so the water temperature can be between 20-60°C. A heating system overhaul mainly consist of replacing the boiler with an air to water heat pump and replacement of the thermostatic valves and control head on every "Heizkörper". The individual room heating is controlled by an expansion fluid in the thermostatic head regulating the flow of hot water.

Hi Mike, I enjoyed the video and had a couple of questions. Do they make right angle solder on fittings ? Seems like 3 connections per side could have perhaps been one per side. Have you ever tried the expansion type of pex ? What are your thoughts on that ? Seems faster and immune from flow and future clamp failure.
