You are so lucky to have a group of sewing friends, and, you’re lucky to have fabric stores to shop in! They are getting fewer and farther between here in the US! I’m in central Nebraska, which is about in the middle of the States and the town where I live has some fabric at Walmart (mostly cotton for quilting) and some at Hobby Lobby. Online is the best option for variety, but as you know, it’s not the best for getting a real feel for the fabric; pun intended!
I enjoyed seeing the footage from your lunch and shopping in Brighton with your lovely sewing friends. No sewing retreats in the US. However, I am meeting my hairdresser for an appointment and taking my overlocker to help her with making a Christmas gift for her DIL. It should be fun. Happy day 7, Cara.
Oh gosh Cara, so many lovely stores and the fabrics! Oh my. A few caught my eye and I was thinking, "ooh, ooh Cara, go back so I can get a better look-see!" 😆 This weekend I'm sewing up a toile for a Christmas dress for my best friend. She's going to a party so I said I'd make one as her Christmas gift.
@@sosewmad I wasn't surprised Cara. After what you've been through, and how many memories you associate with your fabrics, I wouldn't think you'd want to remember this time every time you saw or wore the fabrics. It's good you're taking a break. Your heart and soul will know when you are inspired to buy again.
Looks like so much fun, and me here wishing I could be right there with you! Sending hugs from Maine, US, hoping you have a cozy weekend where you feel all the love surrounding you in these rough days. ❤🩷💜
Looks like a lovely outing, so many beautiful things and company! I'm loving g your Vlogmas. Could you tell me what the music that sounds like bells was on your last video please? 🎉
Hello Cara just watched day 7 blog más and wondered if you could tell me the name of the first shop you filmed in such beautiful cushions - I need them 😂😂 Many thanks Patricia
Beautiful video as always…

I so love you in that hat, it finishes off your outfit to perfection☺

You are so lucky with your fabric stores. We have nothing like that in Northampton
Yes it’s lovely that we have some actual stores still. You are close to MK and Neil’s fabric though?
nice to hear about your sewing journey and the sewing machines you started on and have currently - what Overlockers have you had ?
Thank you I’ll add the question in x

Hi, oh gosh I don’t know I’m afraid. Aren’t they stunning! It’s the tiniest shop ever in the lanes in Brighton I’m so sorry xx
I found out the name of the first shop. It’s called Blackout.
