I havent seen many of the films that you've reviewed but your content is so insightful and unique. I enjoy your reviewd so much.
Your film analyses are the epitome of the philosopical female gaze - hair as metaphor, symbolism of food. An outsiders perspective without a defensive stance. I mean I relish watching smart black girls calling people out, 😂but I'm enjoying this too.
I thought, the shawarma scene was fun!
Edit: I dont feel like I appreciated Birds of Prey at the time but I hope, it will become a classic with time!

The plot is, "let's get together to help a widow's struggling ramen place in Peak 1980s Japan," but the WAY the story's told is just... 👩🏾🍳🤌🏾 !! If you like a film that's a love story about food and what it means to people, Tampopo is The One ™
