your symbol analysis is amazing!! i came from your tiktok, can't wait to see more
i saw four people who were in the do you wanna build a snowman video talk about it, 2 were the "i am not a singer" type lmao and the other 2 were singers. and so apparently some of them that aren't singers were told they wouldn't have to sing anything, but day of, they put them in that booth regardless lmao. and you got a bunch of people that are trained singers so they don't mind, like it's fun for them, but the others are like hey man, I'm just here to act. but it is funny how everyone recounts that big part with all of them singing together, and the director person or whatever was like jordan you do whatever you want sweetie you're doing great, everyone else, just sing the ensemble bit lmao like it's just so funny lmao
The trial was Armand’s revenge against lestat, that’s why he wanted Claudia & Louis killed in front of lestat cuz of lestat’s own words. Lestat went to see them & save them but he only had power to save 1 of them cuz he was still recovering from being drained in New Orleans. When Lestat saved Louis, Armand was forced to recalculate his revenge by turning Louis against lestat & keeping them apart. He knew loneliness is the only thing that could kill lestat & Louis was the only thing lestat cared about, & ultimately look where lestat ends up in a decaying husk of a house mirroring lestat’s last ~80 years w/o Louis. Armand even gleefully points out that he had Louis for 70 years while lestat only had him for 30. That b*tch
50:12 Paul was in the first movie in his mother’s womb!!
Best part was Anthony Ramos, they did him dirty
Can anyone explain why Armand hated Claudia so much such that he was willing to let Louis die? Like I get why Lestat mostly hated Claudia (until the end). But what did she ever do to Armand??
I've never watched any of the Twister movies but i enjoyed listening to your video while i work 😊 It's like listening to a friends gush over this random niche thing in a soothing voice. If you're interested, I'd love to hear your thoughts about Run Sweetheart Run, Lovely Dark & Deep and Barbarian. The first 2 i feel are incredibly underrated and the last one being an interesting fun and unsettling film with a lot more depth than what normally gets discussed imo👍
Oooh I'm definitely going to add those to my list! I'm not a horror girlie but it might be fun to scare myself for a vid with Barbarian lol
I absolutely love your videos! The outfit??? YASSS Sidenote: Please tell me you have either the Jurassic Park series or trueblood in your forecast for a vid or 2???
A Jurassic Park Retrospective would be everything!🎯
True Blood vid is absolutely on the way and I've just added a Jurassic Park vid to my list because it's one of my favorite movies of all time!!!
@@culturekitsch Oh my GAWD YAAASSS!!!!!! *anticipation intensifies*
This outfit is everything!
thank you! I love to dress for the occassion!
Your film analyses are the epitome of the philosopical female gaze - hair as metaphor, symbolism of food. An outsiders perspective without a defensive stance. I mean I relish watching smart black girls calling people out, 😂but I'm enjoying this too.
Ashley Tisdale signed with Warner Brother records for her singing career.
Loved the vid ❤ Omgg I love big groups songs but yeah I can only imagine how much goes into it bc there are people with different vocal abilities!
Loved your video❤ I had no idea how complicated the structure was around the Disney stars and its insane to imagine how many different talents these child and adult stars had to balance to bring in as much money for the company as possible. I wonder if there was ever a situation where an actor couldn't really sing and had to be dubbed with another talented person who didn't get to shine in the limelight 🤔
Yo, DisneyMania 3 was MY SHIIIIT!
I cannot stop saying “she was Hantah Montanta” 16:15 💀💀
You're so real for this!
Loved this video. I'm Aussie I didn't have cable so only way to watch Disney content growing up was Saturday morning tv show called Saturday Disney(until 09 got cable for a year or two) so we'd watch an episode of latest shows months after so first DCOM I ever saw was like HSM or Camp Rock but loved Raven, Lizzie, Proud Family, Kim Possible I think the butler dude from Jessie is a musical theatre actor he played Gusteau in the ratatouille TikTok musical but so weird he's in the video. I listened to Mitchell Musso & Emily Osment albums too I was that into the Disney casts. I didn't watch shows after Hannah/Wizards/Sonny/JONAS I watched couple dcoms I graduated school & my faves had finished but during Covid I decided to watch Liv & Maddie bc Jordan Fisher guest starred & wanted to see how Dove did both roles bc I'm a twin & was alright show. I've seen Jordan talk about this somewhere online & he was told hey everyone's gonna sing so sing & he didn't see everyone else sing except the group part so he thought everyone was going to sing like him in the solo/duo parts. So crazy he never got a tv show or DCOM of his own he auditioned for a load apparently
Huge fan of Hilary Duff Raven was cool Aly and AJ, the best music sisters I still mostly prefer classic Demi Lovato
The fact that I’m going to a Disney Channel dance party tomorrow, this video is timely!! Loved everything you talked about in the video, but I’m surprised you didn’t highlight a few more examples of kids that maybe had music thrust upon them but are in-between a Miley or Demi and a Ricky Ullman, i.e. Zendaya, Bridget Mendler (banger albums btw but since they stopped doing music I’m assuming there was some possible coercion on DC execs part). Then there’s the supporting actors that were definitely forced to do music (Emily Osment dropped an album in 2010, Bella Thorn did a few songs even though she shouldn’t have). Then then there’s the people that should’ve done music with Hollywood Records like Kristy Carlson Romano and Anneliese Van Der Pol, but we’re likely flagged as too “risky” at the time for the early years of the channel.
Is this Bobbi? The movie nerd from TikTok? Am I the only one hearing her voice?
It is me!
“White men w dreads” get me outta here
I came here to support! Happy to find another like meeeeeee. Now let me go watch this movie again so I can be well equipped to listen n have a valid opinion 😂
There is a running joke about a real DJ wearing a helmet only DJ'ing at night being a vampire, in reference to Sam. I love how they threw that in there.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!
that's how I felt. I saw this movie first and then I watched interview with a vampire and now I'm listening to the audiobooks but still love the movies as they are, plus the soundtrack is my religion. I fell in love with Aaliyah our queen and only queen and the actor Lestat because of his gothic dead look arrogant he had going on. I am liking the books and am accepting the TV show with Sam Reid's, but they have to keep up with Aaliyah or I won't be able to watch it. ill just watch a person review the eps and react to it lol
I have such a soft spot for this movie! 🤪 I mean, I'll be honest, when it first came out when I was like 29, I was a bit WTF, having read the books (and had been a HUGE Anne Rice nerd), and I had trouble reconciling all the MANY changes they made to the story, especially mashing TVL and QOTD together into one film, cutting out SO MUCH STORY. BUT I've since come to love it for the HOT MESS that it is. I think if you divorce it from the source material, focus on the campy aspects and the soundtrack, it's actually quite fun! Plus, the vampire-loving goth in me can't deny the aesthetics in this film are AMAZING! As you mentioned there's the great bits with the 'Cabinet of Doctor Caligari' (SUCH A GOOD FILM!) visual references in the music video, but also the awesome looking punks at the Admiral's Arms and just SO MUCH MESH CLOTHING. My fave character in the film is probably David, but then as a big Doctor Who nerd, I'm ALWAYS excited about Paul McGann (plus, David had been one of my faves from the books). I also love Vincent Perez's SUPER campy performance as Marius (who is a very important character in the books and Armand's sire, as mentioned in the IWTV show) -- he cracks me up almost every time he's on screen. And Aaliyah seemed to be having the GREATEST time. I honestly didn't know much about her when it came out, aside from the news of her passing around that same time, but she was sooo good as Akasha! On the downside, I really didn't love Jessie and didn't care too much about her plot in the story (then again, I don't remember liking her in the book either -- she's kinda boring?). The attempt to 'straighten' Lestat's sexuality was...odd at best (I mean, the violin thing was about Nicolas, not some random girl he met with Marius). Having a lot of important vampires on screen, but not giving them any context for the audience was also...a choice. (Hell, even Armand shows up at the concert and at the end, but you'd not know it unless you looked at the cast list). ANYWAY, it's still a good time. Not Oscar-worthy, of course, but a fun fluffy candy film, nonetheless! 😃
such a good videoo
3:00 fashion inspires me a lot and I grew up in the 00s. this does not at all look like the 00s. it looks so 2024
This was such a great video ❤ I've loved all your IWTV content but this was a breath of fresh air and your vidoe structure was everything! Please do more animated film content 🙏 I had no idea about all the stuff that happened in the background and the ups and downs the creators and actors went through. I really took it for granted how we end up having so many projects coming out and the amount of passion everyone pours into such unlikely stories.
man i wish i had a sandwich like that rn. harley is right about those things
Loved this! ❤ I always love hearing about behind the scenes stuff with movies and everything it takes to get a movie made. Did not realize how long it took for this one! 😮
Me too! The "politics" behind studios and the works that they compete to put out are fascinating.
I'm enjoying this essay so much that I'm sad it's almost over, but I must ask.... do you know about Tampopo? The plot is, "let's get together to help a widow's struggling ramen place in Peak 1980s Japan," but the WAY the story's told is just... 👩🏾🍳🤌🏾 !! If you like a film that's a love story about food and what it means to people, Tampopo is The One ™
This one of my new faves, too❤
I havent seen many of the films that you've reviewed but your content is so insightful and unique. I enjoy your reviewd so much.
Damn i craving that burger now. I simply clicked because of it. Nice bait
THAT EGG SANDWICH 🤤
RIP to a real one 🥲💕
WE COULD HAVE HAD HEATH LEDGER!?
I love this show. But your analysis is very on point. I knew i felt a racist feeling of Santiago and also how Armand sometimes felt a companionship with Louis vs the coven but when it comes consequences the POC and the white saviour or conquer is able to drop 💧 They spoke on vampire loneliness and allowed Claudia to be the loneliest of all. The black women in her very nature is a crime but must bear burden of guilt although she is the nost innocent Brava!
Forever mourning the black canary film by Misha Green💔
omg its my friend who knows just a little too much about pop culture!
18:50 No you're so right about how Daniel feels like the oldest even next to louis and armand. The whole scene really did feel like elder abuse 😂😂😂
great video, but i suggest you to increase your own voice because it didnt mix well with the other audio, still love it though
I need more 😭😭 pls do House of the Dragon!!!!!
I support this message
This is everything, and more.
